Hi ladies!
CD 1 for me today, so I’m moving over from the July thread and starting this one (don’t think there is already one).
Anyone else now ttc for a BFP in August??

@BlueberryPoppy123 we only BD once this month and I've got a faint positive! Previous months we were going for daily minimum across the fertile window. There could be something to it!

km9371 · 11/08/2024 09:35

@Kiwiburgh I often get a very short peak on opk I feel like I have to do 3 a day to catch it!

BlueberryPoppy123 · 11/08/2024 05:41

Eurgh I'm out I think. Never had a positive opk this month. Based on bbt premom says I should be on 10dpo. Bfn this morning (and last 2 days) on cd34 now 😭. I wish I had quicker cycles so when I do fail we don't have to wait so long for another chance.

Notice a lot of people saying they seem to get pregnant when they didn't think they'd had sex enough. I'm wondering if maybe we're having too much. Should we try cut down and just dtd every other day?

Kiwiburgh · 10/08/2024 22:35

I'm confused, I just got a static smiley on clear blue but my easy at home is still negative. Not sure which to go by as dh is recovering from a cold and I can't expect he's going to want to dtd more than once 🙈 😂

Hi all!! I never shifted over from the July thread as had some job news that meant we had to pack in trying for a while.

We've been TTC number 2 for 4/5 months now. My DS turned one on Wednesday and we had his party today.

I tested at about 5am and I think I have a very faint line today 🥹 I then tried some Superdrug ultra early and think I see faint lines on those too. What do you think?

I'm 10dpo I think.

Looks like the start of something, how exciting!!

I used better birth stories - they have some cree resources so you can have a look and see what you think - but there are lots of companies that do similar! It’s a lot of positive affirmations and visualisations, but the course I did also talked about labour and what the body does etc.

Thank you ! I will definitely look into it ! Because of 2 MCs, I find myself constantly thinking if my body wants to get rid of this new pregnancy. 😑Not good at all.

So interesting @LucyCL that your charts are still so similar. This has reminded me to not bother symptom spotting given the effects of progesterone on our body and tricking us into thinking we’re pregnant in the luteal phase.

Congratulations!

I have more devices to track what is happening to my body so on 9 dpo after I saw my pdg and E3G kept dropping , I recognised the same pattern of the last cycle and I was convinced that I was out. Will also attach the last cycle of the Mira chart. I love collecting data however knowing too much can also make me feel very negative. Because I don’t want to symptom spot and I want to be sensible and understand that any 2WW symptoms could be caused by high post Ovulation hormones. Strangely I have very teary during this 2WW and I was blaming my progesterone for it. I got so teary and cried on 9 dpo because I saw the Mira and OvuSense and totally conceived that I was not pregnant. The curse of having so much data.

Thank you for the advice. How do you do hypnobirthing ? I have never heard of it. x

@LucyCL would you mind sharing your graph please? I would like to see your temp if that’s ok? Just thinking for future cycles. I know they can vary a lot it’s just to see examples of bfp ones.

I did use bbt last time but I stopped at 4dpo because I went on holiday. So I never saw the progression in the end.

Yes, I thought I was out because the trend of this cycle looked like last cycle. On 8dpp and 9 dpo, CBT stayed low then on 10dpo I expected to see a small rise which did happen. When I saw that yesterday morning, I thought that I was out because it was not a sharp rise at all. Then I tested and it was positive. This morning CBT rose again.
Will also attach the last cycle’s CBT chart so
you will understand what I mean.

Congratulations! I set my self a time in the day to let myself worry if that makes sense? I had a mmc and a blighted ovem in the same year and my third pregnancy I felt anxious throughout - but setting aside a small amount of time each day seemed to help. I started my hypnobirthing stuff late - but if I manage to conceive another bubba, I wiuld do it earlier as it was definitely very good at calming me!

Congratulations @LucyCL . I can imagine how nervous you will be with past losses. Just focus on the here and now. You are pregnant, enjoy it.
Maybe speak to your doctor to see if they advise taking any medication to help this little one stick?

That is a good idea! Will wait until I pass two potential would be MC dates.

Just took a CB digital - BFN. Hoping AF arrives soon so I can get my next cycle started ASAP 🙏🙏 hopefully one month closer to having my baby x

I hope the next cycle will be an exciting and positive one for you! Fingers crossed !❤

Blue2020 · 10/08/2024 10:17

@Zo85 I know what you mean about the exercise and living a normal life. I think that too. The cycles I was very strict nothing happened.

The cycle I conceived ds I thought we were out for that cycle (dh had covid and a high temp the month before and studies said it affected sperm). Well it turns out we conceived. In the tww we went on 3 hard walks, DTD once or twice and I had a glass of wine because it was free on the plane. I was very tired at the end of the final walk, but dh was even more tired than me so I just put it down to a hard walk and AF about to appear.

I think if I was being strict I would have still done the walks but taken it easier, avoided DTD and not had wine. I guess I would have missed out on just relaxing and enjoying life, within reason.

Blue2020 · 10/08/2024 09:56

Thankyou Zo. I know everyone’s will be different as well.

I mostly do it to wait for that big drop to know AF is coming. I think it then gives me a day to prepare and know this cycle is over. I think I find it a bit easier than the negative tests or AF suddenly showing up a day earlier/later than I was expecting. The last cycle I only had 10dpo before it showed up, it’s usually 13. I don’t know what was different. I’m hoping I go back to 13dpo or similar though.

I took a test at 9dpo and it was negative so I’m going to avoid any more tests and wait for AF now.

Totally agree that a late AF is cruel when TTC! Also a weirdly early one was for me too, which suggested to me I’d had a chemical as I’m never, ever early!

I’ve said it before but it’s so hard to say what’s the right or wrong approach. Eg I have a friend who would never test early as she feels like the uncertainly is a positive thing for her and gives her hope whereas I like knowing I’m out early personally - most of the time - to move on emotionally. But having said that when I did know I was pregnant early, I was convinced my period would arrive so couldn’t enjoy that feeling! It was the longest week of my life.

Definitely a case of “Do you” here.

Btw I stopped BBTing when I got a positive test as I drove myself crazy when I saw that final day 23 BBT dip and ‘knew’ I was out. So knowledge isn’t always power in my case.

Feeling a bit crap today. I’m only a couple of days past ovulation but struggling already with the two week wait. I wish I had a little camera in my uterus/fallopian tubes 😂 so I knew something was or was not happening so if it isn’t I can move on mentally and think forward to next month. I really want to do some quite strenuous exercise today but keep thinking “What if I’m pregnant?” It’s then really frustrating getting a BFN isn’t it when you’ve avoided things “just in case”. With my first pregnancy, the cycle I conceived I decided I would live a normal life until I got a positive test. Within reason of course - no binge drinking or anything like that but I certainly had a glass of wine once or even twice.

Hi. Just wanted to say please be mindful that I thought I was out early (as in didn’t even ovulate!) on a really weird month - no EWCM, no ovulation dip (usually have one), no dramatic rise after it but a steady one after my fertile window and no positive OPK even - and this ended up being my pregnancy chart. So please don’t be disillusioned by your charts too much ladies! The month previously I had a perfect chart and cycle with its symptoms, loads of sex and BFN.

Today is 12dpo. My pup was taken ill the last couple of days, endless amounts of stress has taken its toll on me.
I forgot to test but I did test last night and BFN. Then this morning I went for the first wee of the day and completely forgot to test again.

I feel like I am out for this month. I thought by now I would feel quite different and experience some symptoms but I haven't felt anything recently. I think the symptoms I experienced must be purely the hormones after ovulation.

I think my next cycle I will track bbt, where do I even start?

I had 2 early MCs (6 weeks and 1 day) this March and (4 weeks and 6 days) this May. Today is 10 dpo and I am really scared. Any good practical advice for me ?

I don't usually track my temp or do kits. Since losing last pregnancy I've gone a bit baby crazy, buying loads of tests and it's completely taken over. My partner said it's changed me and as much as he wants a baby, said we can't lose ourselves in the process so we've agreed to stop trying and testing as the disappointment each month gets worse. The pressure I feel isn't helping, so just going off what my CM is and how I'm feeling. He's got the weekend off so will definitely try and DTD this weekend. I feel as though this cycle will be different - but I think it every cycle. Trying not to get my hopes us! 🥰🥰

I totally get that. It was really hard after my first miscarriage. I did that same and stepped away from the tests and things for a bit. I conceived my son 2 months after my miscarriage 💜
