Hi ladies!
CD 1 for me today, so I’m moving over from the July thread and starting this one (don’t think there is already one).
Anyone else now ttc for a BFP in August??

@CandH35 I almost gave up with ovulation tests at the end of July early August! I didn't ovulate until CD 31! Then got a bfp on CD 40. Thought I was out this month but just had a random really long cycle. Keep testing and hopefully you find your peak x

Nay34 · 30/08/2024 07:39

@CandH35 hey lovely!

I'm doing ok, no sign of AF yet, if there's still no sign later I might test.

I'd just keep testing until AF shows as you mentioned you may be ovulation later this month. Hopefully your cycles start to regulate soon.

I'm moving over the the TTC September thread now if you'd like to join?

@CandH35

My highest LH on easy@home has been 0.63 then it dropped again. Not sure if that is strong enough to suggest ovulation. Will add a screenshot if f my tests to show the low and then peak and back to low again.

How's your testing been going? I was testing twice a day when I started to see a rise.

Thanks for sharing your chart, it's really interesting to see others numbers. My tests have gone back to being super low, I've shared a photo. Also not getting any smileys on clear blue. Maybe it's going to take a bit longer for my hormones to sort out or I could be on a longer cycle. Not convinced anything will happen this cycle now.

How are you doing? Hoping there are no signs of AF!

8dpo currently, planning on testing over the weekend, can anyone recommend the best early tests? I've seen mixed things about FR tests so not sure whether to order them, even though they worked for me on my first!

Hey everyone! First time here, on cycle 5 of trying. Currently at 10dpo and feeling all the symptoms! Fingers crossed, it's gonna be someone's month! ❤

RW269 · 27/08/2024 21:47

Anyone got some good hobby / tv series / distractions from peeing on sticks ? 😂 this is the longest tww going!
hope you all are keeping okay 🩷

OliveTraybake · 27/08/2024 17:58

Hi everyone, I took some time away after my last bfn as found myself becoming obsessed and symptom spotting and I didn’t want this to consume me!

well I’m now 5dpo and have had light bleeding when I wipe - light pink and brown discharge. Anything to worry about? I’ve always been so regular on my cycles and not had bleeding mid way though which worried me as we are now ttc!

thank you xx

In such a similar situation.

I'm 34, partner 39, ttc #1 came off the pill this year (Jan) after being on the pill for 15 or so years.

My cycle is regular now, it took a couple of months. I seem to have low LH levels, getting a smiley face on clear blue is hit and miss for me but I see a clear peak in LH using the easy@home strips. (Albeit a low peak but it is there!)

I also started BBT tracking for the first time this month and I think it's confirmed ovulation for me.

I'm on cycle 6 and CD22 for me so either AF soon or this could be the month.

It's so hard to be patient about this journey but I know realistically it can be a year. I just get worried that something's wrong.

Sending you lots of luck and baby dust!

Keeping fingers and toes crossed that it will be your cycle!!

Saw an increase using the easy at home test yesterday for the first time yesterday, but hard to tell if it was more due to dehydration. Most have been 0.01 or 0.03 but finally made it to a full 0.1 haha. Still super low.

TheBeesKnee · 27/08/2024 10:59

So despite the BFN today I am feeling quite nauseous and was horrified at the smell of the bathroom this morning.

I'm either coming down with something or something is afoot 👀

AF is due on Friday so I'm going to hold out until then.

Regardless of the outcome, I am going to ask DP to clean the bathroom 😅

Hope you don't mind if I join! Currently TTC for the first time at 35 after a long wait for my partner of 38 to be ready. We are now excited to start the journey. I was hoping to get some advice. I came off the pill in June after 17 years of using it and had my first period a few weeks ago. I have now started tracking ovulation and testing with clear blue advanced but getting no sign of any smiley face, be that flashing or static!! I'm CD 13 and not really sure at this point what my cycle length is. I'm also using the easy at home tests with the pre mom app to compare but not having much luck with those as I drink too much water.

I know I'm probably being impatient but wondering if I'm just too early and with coming off the pill it will take a while for my cycle to regulate. I've been testing since CD 8 so hoping I haven't missed it with the clear blue, as I know it has to base line first. Thanks!!

This month I joined the gym as it was doing a free trial and did loads of classes and I think the increased exercise caused me to ovulate 3-4 days early! At least I have enjoyed the exercise and feeling good, hopefully it will regulate this cycle.

Ah I misread it. This cycle went from 27 down to 23. Good luck for the upcoming cycle. Hopefully being away will also be relaxing though.

CoolSummer89 · 26/08/2024 09:29

Hiya and welcome! Yes it can definitely take a few cycles to regulate after coming off birth control! If you have been tracking since CD8 it’s unlikely that you’ve missed it, but with all these things not impossible especially for first cycle. Even for people who haven’t been on birth control it takes a few months to really learn about your cycle (although hopefully you won’t need that long!)
I would really recommend getting a BBT thermometer so that you can confirm ovulation after it’s happened. You can either get one through a natural cycles membership, or buy cheaply off Amazon. I have a discount for Natural Cycles if you’re interested

lastly just to say this thread is probably winding down now as most people have either got their BFPs (big fat positives) or AF (period) has arrived and they have moved to September TTC thread. Welcome to the club 😊

Thanks for the reassurance, I will try BBT next cycle! Ahh yes just found the September thread to will join there

Why would it go from a 27 day cycle to a 23 day cycle if your pattern is usually 27 days? Just curious.

Think AF is definitely on her way today. Obvs I am disappointed for an unsuccessful cycle but I am also annoyed for next cycle too 😩

My cycles have been 27 days like clockwork, with the exception of one month when it was 29 days. So DH and I booked a little getaway for next month during my fertile window.

This month looks like it will be a 23 day cycle, which means I am due to ovulate the day after we arrive. Here’s hoping the travelling delays ovulation a little bit 🤞

@Bellabubble that looks like a BFP - congrats 🥳

Bellabubble · 24/08/2024 12:58

I’m so sorry to everyone who is on to the next month of trying or has experienced a chemical this month - ttc is so tough at time and it is so hard to not let it take over your thoughts! I definitely did not suceed in that the last time we were trying.

I’ve been keeping my head down during my TWW - keeping busy etc, then my friend gave me a bunch of her old pregnancy tests so I caved!
I think I am about 11dpo today - I got my LH surge 2 Sunday’s ago, but my bbt was still low on Monday morning (Tuesday my daughter woke me up and I had to go in and see her and I completely forgot to take my temp, b it it was high on Weds)

I think I might have a bfp - it is early days, and feint, we also had 2 losses before our daughter, so anxiety levels are already bubbling a bit. The top pic is 10dpo (yesterday) and the bottom is this morning. Hopefully it is a sticky bean like their big sis was - only time will tell 🤞🏻

11dpo on a frer, I think it's safe to say I'm probably out. On to the next cycle. Congrats to those who got there bfps and good luck to those moving on the the next cycle! 🍀

Oh wow! Seems like you've had a hectic few days!! Dogs are gorgeous. I've got a 2 year old Labrador, and a 1 year old Labracollie, they're a handful go say the least. Update from me; im out for this cycle, had enough now I might just give up, every single time it's the same disappointing, upsetting, annoying cycle. Working all the time keeps my mind off it though, but wishing for some luck soon. Hope you're not finding the sickness too bad 🙈 Charlie (right) and Rex (left) - thick as thieves!!!

Love the photo - dogs are the best! I have French bulldogs!

im sorry to hear you’re out for this month! It’s hard and I hate the disappointment that comes with it, even when you try to tell yourself you won’t be frustrated.

sending you love xx

Thoughts on this? Does this look positive? This is 12dpo and not FMU. It is absolutely pink but looks thin to me? Thoughts? Took this afternoon.

That looks positive to me, congratulations!

I did a sneaky lunchtime test today as well and it was stark white! No idea how many DPO I am but it's CD 25 over here so likely a BFN this month.

Hi ladies!

I’ve been quiet on here since I got my BFP - I’ve since had bloods taken in my EPU, HCG has risen well and I’m roughly 5 weeks now?

my dog delivered a litter of 6 puppies on Monday (it’s funny as we usually share the same time for a period as such! lol)

so it’s been hectic! I’m also really suffering with nausea as expected - I had HG with my 2 elder children, so no shock there!

Just been very weak with it and also working 9-5.30 on top of newborn puppies feeding, 2 children and a full time job! Phew!

Had a busy past week, taking my children and friends to Legoland and then Tuesday, my daughter and I went to see Taylor Swift at Wembley!

I won’t complain anyway!

I was given cyclizine for my sickness earlier so hopefully they help.

how is everyone doing? Any updates? Going to have a scroll and catch up xx
