5 days late, had slight blood the day after I was due when wiping then spend last night in tears as had some brown when I wiped.

woke up this morning and decided to test again as no actual period yet.

i did 3 tests 🙈 husband can see them too but says we should just stay calm and relax 😂 we’ve been ttc for over 10yrs so we’re both extremely cautious

I’m so sorry, that’s not the news you wanted I know - no wonder you’re exhausted from all this. Have a big glass of wine tonight and try to get some rest before the scan. Hopefully you’ll get your much needed answers then ❤️

Incakewetrust · 11/08/2024 15:12

I'm so sorry 😞 hope you enjoy the wine tonight!

EPU just called. Levels have dropped to 38. So I will be going in either Tuesday or Wednesday for a scan.

Thanks ladies.

Blood test went fine. The lady was amazing. When she took me through she said she had read my file and that we’ve been through a lot. She said that I will get the results today. She said if the levels are dropping slowly then I will be booked in for a scan to check there’s nothing left behind. If they have dropped a lot then they will let me get on with it.
she did say that sometimes the levels can drop then rise again and if that was the case she would also book me a scan for when they know they will see something.

im not holding up much hope for them rising so it’s now a case of have they dropped a lot or a little.

my husband has just brought a nice bottle of white and has that chilling in the fridge so when the call comes we can drown our sorrows.

Would it be easier for you to write everything just so you know you've got it all covered?

I think you've earned a little bit more than just a glass! Hope you have a lovely night x

Yes I’m going to write it down. And I’m going to show them the pictures of the tests too.

ha yes, I have a bottle chilling ready for tomorrow night 🤪

Thank you. That’s good to hear. They were lovely with me yesterday so I’m not feeling anxious about going tomorrow. Just need to think what I want to say before I get there.

I will have a quiet night in with my husband. Then after bloods tomorrow pour a large glass of wine 😂

Oh gosh Dora, those test results must have really thrown you. Hopefully the EPU will be able to offer some guidance and advice on what’s happening. I think you deserve a bottle of wine, not a glass!

DoraBella88 · 10/08/2024 17:19

2BabyOrNot2Baby · 10/08/2024 17:11

Of course, luckily I've had all positive experiences with EPU and they've always listened to my concerns, blubbering and tried to put me at ease. Hopefully this is will be your experience going forward.

It's only natural that you'll test, it's such a strong impulse to do it, it can be really hard to resist so I really don't blame you for doing it. Be kind to yourself tonight

Thank you. I will have a chat with them tomorrow. They were really lovely there so I’m sure they will be ok with my ramblings and concerns.

I wish I’d never done that test. I was convinced it would be a squinter of a line so was super shocked to see it darker.

I’ve thrown it in the bin and forgetting about it!

I need to stop torturing myself 🙈

I don’t know why I do it to myself 🤦🏻‍♀️ decided to do an easy at home test just now as the lines have always been faint on them. I’ve accepted this isn’t a pregnancy. I just actually want to see the line go this time so we don’t end up in this situation again.

so this is at 4.30pm….. why is it darker!!!!!
I’ll post the one I’ve just done (first pic) compared to one I did Thursday morning with fmu, baring in mind my levels were dropping when I did Thursdays test.

I know I know, stop torturing myself. I know this isn’t a thing but was actually hoping to see a fainter line….

I'm so sorry you're having such a difficult time, I can't even begin to imagine how much this is messing with your head.

I completely understand you wanting to see that fainter line, but just hold out a little bit longer until your next appointment. Hopefully they'll be able to give you some better idea of what is going on and what to expect. I do feel like this is a new pregnancy, so fingers crossed what you said is right and that your body is figuring out what to do. I do feel like it may be a good idea to discuss a scan with them so they can check you over fully, but if they agree to that it may not be for another couple of weeks x

honestly I’m dreading the appointment now. But again, at least we will know. These last 6 weeks have been exhausting and I’m looking forward to taking a bit of time for myself.

Actually I would ask them about a scan when you go for blood tests. When I MC I had a scan on my first visit (when bleeding) and then 2 more times to ensure all was out.
