5 days late, had slight blood the day after I was due when wiping then spend last night in tears as had some brown when I wiped.

woke up this morning and decided to test again as no actual period yet.

i did 3 tests 🙈 husband can see them too but says we should just stay calm and relax 😂 we’ve been ttc for over 10yrs so we’re both extremely cautious

I am so heartbroken for you. I hope wine and nice food is helping you tonight. I am glad to hear you are going to get help from the hospital directly next time and you have now knowledge what to do the moment you get a positive test. Your DH sounds amazing and I am so glad he is there supporting you through all this.
Besides folic acid have you thought about taking Ubiquinol?

GelatoPistacchio · 14/08/2024 19:42

Oh@DoraBella88 it sounds like such a rough day but hopefully you are coming through the other side now.

I had 3 miscarriages and was treated with aspirin and progesterone and had a successful pregnancy. The 3 losses feels like such an arbitrary number so I'm glad you will be getting support for next time.

There is hope but I totally understand it's so hard to believe this when you are going through the worst of it.

DoraBella88 · 14/08/2024 18:53

Thank you as always ladies. Honestly your love and support has been a massive comfort to me and I don’t think I could of got through any of this without you all ❤️

I do feel better now knowing they are there to look after me if and when I need them again. I’m just anxiously waiting on today’s blood results. I’m assuming no phone call yet is good news as the call I got on Sunday was within an hour and a half of having the test. And it had only dropped by 7 in 48 hours.

im curled up on the sofa with a glass of wine, my husband is working still so im drowning my sorrows. Honestly he was amazing today. He held on to my shoulder whilst I was having both scans, helped me out of my jeans when I got stuck, pulled my shoe off my foot when I somehow knotted the laces trying to get them off and just held me hard when I burst in to tears in the final consultation. Hes not perfect but honestly, he’s been amazing with this whole situation. Seeing your husband cry has been so heartbreaking, but he’s been incredible.

My heart is so broken right now, but we still try to look at the positives. We’ve done it at last, we got pregnant. and now if we manage to do it again, we know we’ve got the help there. My husband took his vitamins this morning and I plan on starting the folic acid again in a few days. I will test again maybe tomorrow.

who knows. But I’m so greatful to each and every one of you ❤️

Thank you ladies ❤️

we got to the hospital at 8.30 and I wasn’t called through until 9.10. My anxiety was through the roof. They did an ultrasound and couldn’t see anything so I had to have an internal scan. That was fun 😢 but it wasn’t painful, just a touch uncomfortable. She couldn’t see anything although did note I had a cyst on one of my ovaries but she said these could come and go and as I have no pain she isn’t worried about it. She said my womb lining was thin which was good. She sent me back to the waiting area and said I would be called through soon. We sat there another 45mins before being called back through. Had my blood pressure taken, I warned them it would be through the roof and it was. Then had yet another blood test. Sent back to the waiting area again but called through within 10mins.

they are classing it as a pregnancy of unknown location. They can’t see anything left behind which is the main thing and there isn’t a new pregnancy there (which we already knew) they are going to call me today with the results of the blood test and hopefully my levels have dropped more. If not then I will have to go back again for more bloods and possible scans next week.

The nurse also said if I’d of had 3 miscarriages then she would be able to refer me to recurrent miscarriage but as I’ve only had 2 she can’t. However she did say that when we are ready to go again, the second I find out I’m pregnant I need to call them straight away. She said they would be putting me on progesterone straight away and monitor me closely. She also said that if I do get pregnant again I need to call them with even the tiniest single spot of blood and they will check me over.

I cried a lot today. But they were amazing there. I do feel better that they will look after me if I am fortunate enough to get pregnant again. She told me to bypass the GP and go straight to them the moment I get a positive test. She also said if I get a positive test then bleed the following day to still call them.

im exhausted from all of this. I went to work after the hospital and met my boss. She’s been amazing with me. She sent me home early so now I’m curled up on the sofa. Luckily I have tomorrow off anyway so don’t have to face the world until Friday now.

thank you all again for your love and support ❤️

I am convinced that progesterone is what led to my healthy baby after 3 miscarriages. Im glad you won’t have to fight and it will be there for you when the time comes.

Sending you gentle hugs, I’m so sorry OP x

TheShellBeach · 14/08/2024 18:24

Oh my darling. What a day.
I'm so sorry, but you have some support in place now, for when you get pregnant again.

I'm so glad they're looking after you now, and have told you to bypass your useless GP. That's positive.

Cake and Gintonight.

SirChenjins · 14/08/2024 17:55

You must be exhausted with all that today. I know it was a difficult day but it sounds like they were very supportive and helpful, and at least you now have some answers and a plan in place. I wish you and your DH all the very best if you decide to try again and will keep everything crossed for you. Big glass of wine tonight and hope you can have a rest tomorrow before you go back to work.

Incakewetrust · 14/08/2024 17:42

I'm so sorry you're going through this.

I'm glad you finally have some answers and that they have a plan in place for any future pregnancies. Sending a virtual hand hold xxx

I think it's generally done via transvaginal ultrasound and every time I've been for one I've been requested to empty my bladder. Would you be able to call first thing in the morning to confirm?

Thank you ❤️

she specifically said I need a full bladder so I’m assuming it will be a tummy scan. I’m so terrified. I honestly thought the first time I’d go for a scan it would be to look at my little baby bean 😢 not to look for the left overs 😢

thank you ❤️ im ok.

I really want my mum right now but she’s in Italy having an amazing holiday so I won’t disclose any of this to her whilst she’s away.

my husband works in agriculture so hes working long hours which sucks. He spoke to his manger yesterday about going to the hospital tomorrow with me for a scan. I had to tell him he had to disclose more to him as he’ll be thinking pregnancy scan. Im so anxious about tomorrow. And also worried about them saying I need to have a full bladder for the scan, that’s at 8.30am and we all know you wake in the morning needing a wee.

im feeling like a deer in headlights right now ☹️

Thank you ladies.

today has been ok. The bleeding has really slowed down and the pain is alot less today which has been good.

I’m feeling very apprehensive about tomorrow. Luckily the scan is early at 8.30. So me and my husband can go and then I’ll come home and get ready for work. I’m meeting my boss first as she wants to check up on me, then heading to my shop for a quiet afternoon.

thank you all again for your kind words and support ❤️

Just read through this thread and the ups and downs, cried for you OP, really hope the next time is more successful
The positive is you CAN conceive, maybe bloodtests or advice from a specialist would bring you happiness

2BabyOrNot2Baby · 13/08/2024 11:22

Sorry @DoraBella88, I thought I replied last night.
3.5yrs or 35yrs, your mum is still your mum so it's only natural you'll feel that way. Until she's home (and even after), please do lean on the support system you have around you.
Wednesday will be hard, but you've got all of us cheering you on, you can do it! It'll help give you some closure and can hopefully help you with your future TTC journey and they may be able to offer you some support or tell you what is to come.
I have all faith that you'll get there one day, you absolutely deserve it.

Don't worry about coming back to the thread today if you have other stuff going on to keep your mind off things, but also don't hesitate to come back if you need to. Hope you have a better day today xx
