5 days late, had slight blood the day after I was due when wiping then spend last night in tears as had some brown when I wiped.

woke up this morning and decided to test again as no actual period yet.

i did 3 tests 🙈 husband can see them too but says we should just stay calm and relax 😂 we’ve been ttc for over 10yrs so we’re both extremely cautious

Hey there, I've just joined this sight and was reading through you thread and wow what a journey you have been on, I actually felt like I have been through it with you, and I've never read something so much and wanted a happy outcome for you and your partner.
I also was trying for tears went through a few miscarriages did 4years of IVF which my partner at the time I found out he was having an affair got rid and met my current partner, I was only with him 5 months and on the morning of my birthday found out I was pregnant. Went for a scan and I was 8wks with twins, unfortunately I lost one of the twins but my little miracle baby was born day 1 of lockdown, I then found out I was pregnant last year to then loose it and have to have a d&c at 10 wks due to the miscarriage not happening naturally. So for me that was it turn 38 was happy with my little girl to now find out 3 days ago I'm pregnant again, but I'm so scared that the same as last year will happen again. I'm like you have brought so many bloody tests but untill I have my scan which I have to wait two weeks for I won't know if it's all ok. It's all such a worry, but I wanted to message you to say keep positive and I have everything crossed for you. Sorry for the long message lol xxx

Thank you for your kind message ❤️ this thread really is a rollercoaster of emotions.

sorry you’ve been through so much too. Congratulations on your BFP!

it’s a worrying time when you’ve had such bad experiences before. I’ve stepped away from the tests. I got my positive digital on Monday and I haven’t tested since. I realise on reflection that testing so much last time was actually causing me more stress. So I’m not doing it this time. And so far I feel a lot calmer. This pregnancy feels different too. Last time I was just so tired. So far this time I’m tired, constantly hungry, peeing more, my heart rate has risen slightly and my god the night sweats are horrific 😂 so overall feeling quite calm and positive.

I really hope this works out, for both of us ❤️

I called EPU as instructed when I had my positive tests. Basically everything they said was a lie. They won’t help me as I don’t match their criteria. So have basically been told to wait and see what happens 🙄 so far so good though.

I have self referred to the midwife though as that way this pregnancy will show and count, should anything go wrong again. I have also done a econsult request with my GP (although they were useless last time) to see if they will do anything. But if not, I just have to wait and see what happens

@DoraBella88 just seen your Monday update. Have been following the thread since last year.

Oh my goodness, you poor thing with your rollercoasters and now this!

Have you spoken to the EPU / started progesterone?

Incakewetrust · 25/02/2025 23:32

Oh that's amazing news, congratulations! I've often thought of you and wondered how you were getting on - some threads just stick with you for some reason, and yours was one of them. Wishing you all the very best! Smile

That’s sweet. Thank you.

I often come back to this thread to read it. I was only reading it last night actually. When I’m feeling down and sorry for myself I like to read back to remember how I felt in the very beginning before it all went wrong. Like it gives me hope I guess. And now here we are 🥹

Thank you ladies. I’ve spent the past hour going from crying to laughing 😂 I can’t stop shaking. This is just insane

Oh bless you! I had a massive grin on my face reading your post, I really am so happy for you.

Remember it’s normal to be nervous, I don’t think I relaxed for the whole 9 months after my MC, but this is a brand new pregnancy and the odds are that everything will be fine. Please, please keep us updated on your journey!x

Hi lovely ladies. It’s been a while 😂 Hope everyone is ok?

Ive had a hard few months with lots of ups and downs. We took our ttc up a level, I brought the clear blue fertility monitor (not used it yet) and my husband brought a ferti-lily cup, again not used yet. We decided to not really “try” this month as beginning of next month would have been when I was due and I didn’t want to deal with that and BFNs….

but anyway. AF due tomorrow and this month I haven’t tested like a loon for once 😂

woke up this morning and thought why not do a cheap test….. could see a shadow of a line so obviously did another one…. Another shadow appeared. So I decided to do a clear blue. Another faint shadow. These are so faint that the camera won’t pick them up.

but I had 1 ultra early clear blue digital left so thought what the heck 😂

results below….. called my husband in tears! Honestly I’m in shock 😭

Do you see what I see?

It will take time to recover and it's early days still so you are bout to feel down and have a cry at random times. I had my MC 5.5 years ago and I still get randomly emotional. You've been so strong and I love how your DH has been such a great support by the sound of it. Take it day by day and hopefully you will feel better as time goes by. 💔💞

DoraBella88 · 21/08/2024 18:57

@SirChenjins thank you so much. I think I try and convince myself that I’m fine then I get knocked back down again.

the EPU just called. My levels have dropped to 22. So that’s good news as a week ago they were 54 I believe. So I’ve now got to test again in a week and call them to let them know the results, either way.

she reinforced about any future positive tests and calling them straight away as they will prescribe progesterone straight away.

my best friend came to visit today. I’ve not seen her for months as she live 1.5 hours away and she is also my midwife friend.
she came with her 2 boys and I opened the door and they threw themselves at me shouting “hi aunty s”…. I cried.

we have a farm down the road so we went there and I didn’t realise how much I put myself in an uncomfortable situation until it was too late. Obviously children everywhere and I felt so alone. We were playing with the boys on the ride on tractors when a little boy came over to me, having seen me push my friends older boy off with my feet, he lined his little tractor up to my feet and asked for a push too. I gave him a gentle push then sobbed behind my sunglasses.

myself and husband are country bumpkins and we actually own vintage tractors (he brought me one as my wedding gift) and seeing the kids playing on what our own child would play on was so hard.

It’s been a long day. Back at EPU and then all the kids. I should add that myself and my husband are listed as my friends boys legal guardians if anything was to happen to their parents, so these boys are both extremely precious to us. And I would go through the pain of today to see them laughing and having fun.

im exhausted though. But still attempting to see the positive. EPU care and will support and monitor me going forward. So all is good ❤️
