Bored of this bollox. Sixth cycle of properly TTC, 11th month since deciding to let it happen. Did the Hertility testing which flagged a few issues, though my AMH is exactly where it should be. Blood and sperm tests for us at the GP next week and a fertility clinic referral is being arranged 💁Anyone else at the 1DPO mark for this cycle? Want to come hang out and moan?

Yeees, since my cycle got into rhythm finding the peak has been pretty easy. Have attached three months of testing so you can see (I find it super useful seeing other people's charts!). Some peaks can be a bit ...pathetic... but as long as the test line is super dark I don't worry.

How are you finding the ClearBlue OPKs? I've never used them and know they can show a different result to the cheapy two line LH tests so I think I'll just continue on with those. Totally agreed on the BBT though - if you don't wake up at a consistent time every day it can be all over the place 😅

Congratulations on your marriage!! We got married in April too (but last year). I'm 31, so looks like we're both at a similar place 🤗

@OchreBird Welcome fellow long cycle friend! Pain the arse isn't it 😂 When did you come off the contraception? And don't get me started about the TWW, it's even worse when you have long cycles and know the next TWW is ageeees away if you don't conceive this time round.

Thank you!! Congratulations to you too. Sounds like we are very similar ☺️

I quite liked the clear blue OPK’s (even though they are expensive) as the static smiley is really easy to follow. And it also confirms 2 hormones rather than one so it’s like another tick in the box!

I did also use just Lh tests to find my peak too. And it lined up perfectly with my static smiley on CB so that gave me more confidence.

how are you getting on? How many DPO are you now x

@MaryMax & @OchreBird How are you both doing?

4DPO here and trying quite successfully to put myself in the mindset of "it's probably not your month, don't stress it". Popped into the health centre for my blood panel this afternoon. The GP will be reviewing those results next week so hopefully we'll have more clarity then. Think the next step is an internal ultrasound, whether private or NHS.

Hope you're both doing well x

Thank you!! I’m using natural cycles (as I wanted the thermometer) and Premom (I like the way it analyses the LH tests!). I’ve attached my chart below.

ah it’s reassuring that it’s not just me who’s taking a while to settle down after coming off! Sounds like you’re doing well tracking, do you usually find your peak? I used clear blue OPK this month and actually got a static smiley I was so happy haha! Feels like you’ve passed the first test 😂

I’m doing BBT monitoring but tbh I wake up anywhere between half 5 and 8 (weekends!) so it’s abit all over the place and not sure if it’s working. Plus it gives me anxiety when it doesn’t rise as it should after ovulation. See you considering it?

Yes first baby, I turned 30 in February and got married in April haha so figured why not!

Jumping on here too!:) My app thinks I ovulated Saturday so similar timing 😊 this is my third cycle TTC but my cycles have been incredibly long (41-43 days) since coming off contraception, I’ve been on it since I was 15 (now 26) and I can’t remember what my cycles used to be like but I think they were pretty irregular so already I’m worrying about possible issues! 😩

Two week wait is torture!

@MaryMax Hello and welcome!! Are you keeping track with an app/chart like Premom or Fertility Friend? Feel free to share your chart, happy to take a look 🤓

Yep - testing here too. I've always had long cycles (35-40 days) and sometimes irregular periods so I use the OPK LH pee sticks and the Premom app. I was also on the pill - came off it last August. I know it's easier said than done but try not to stress too much about your body snapping back to normal cycles, it may take a good few months for them to settle down into a reliable rhythm. Just keep using the OPKs to find the sweet spot! ✊

Are you bothering with the BBT monitoring? I tried it for a month last year and was comically bad at it, so knocked that one on the head!

First baby for you too?

Yess mee! 🤣 my app can’t decide if I ovulated Thursday, Friday or Saturday. So I’m somewhere between DPO 2-4 ha!

Have you been tracking your ovulation each month or being more laid back? I tested like mad this month to narrow down my ovulation (came off the pill in April so wanted a better idea of when I ovulate) but it’s made me abit crazy this month! So stressful.

Fingers crossed we get some luck this month 🤞🏼
