Bored of this bollox. Sixth cycle of properly TTC, 11th month since deciding to let it happen. Did the Hertility testing which flagged a few issues, though my AMH is exactly where it should be. Blood and sperm tests for us at the GP next week and a fertility clinic referral is being arranged 💁Anyone else at the 1DPO mark for this cycle? Want to come hang out and moan?

AF officially started :( I'm out for this month :( this was our first month TTC. On to the next!

Ohhh no! Gutted for you!!! Atleast you can move on to next month now!

CTak · 10/07/2024 16:16

Oh @lily0309 I'm sorry ❤ It's not a nice feeling at all.

Think positive: one month down and so next month's odds are now better, statistically!

Hope AF goes away quickly and wishing you all the luck for cycle 2 x

Ahhh @lily0309 I hope that's not the case. It's so hard to know what it is without taking a test. I had brown discharge on the day my period was supposed to arrive, which turned out to be implantation spotting. Got my fingers and toes crossed that this is the case for you too but try not to be too disappointed if it's not your month. On average it apparently takes first timers nine months to conceive, which is an absolute pain in the arse for us but just the reality of all the biological factors that have to be in sync to make the scientific miracle of conception occur.

Good luck xx

P.S. if you plan on taking the test today, make sure you've held your pee for around 4 hours first, drinking minimal fluids during that hold.

Did you test this morning?

I haven't received them yet they should arrive this afternoon

However Im still cramping right now and when I went to the bathroom earlier there was some brown discharge mixed with my regular discharge.
I think it's my AF starting :( I havent started bleeding properly yet, I only see the brownish discharge when I wipe, but the timing (15 dpo) makes me believe that it's AF arriving 1 day late

thanks babe I have ordered them! I should receive them tomorrow - I went to my local store and they only had the ones you didnt recommend (the clearblue ones with blue dye)

Cramping is back though, I am back to wearing a pad again just in case because it really feels as if AF was right around the corner it's so annoying, the cramping comes and goes!

Did you test this morning?

If you're ordering online go for the First Response ones - these: https://amzn.eu/d/07mmZEhH

They're the best for reliable results!

Yeah the Clearblue digital tests get a bad rep on here among the early testers because they aren't very sensitive, but as you'd be testing at 15dpo-ish, you'd likely be fine!

Also - search for the Premom HCG test strips on Amazon too. They're bright orange. I've been using those and they're very sensitive/cheap!!

Hi just jumping on because I'm 11dpo and yesterday had the same AF cramps all day you described and today I feel fine apart from sore boob's. And can't wait to see how yours plays out!

thanks! I'll see which ones I can find at my local store. Im pretty sure they sell the clearblue digital ones - are they good or bad?

I read several reviews online and a girl had a negative test on a boots test, a positive one on a clearblue digital, so went to get a blood test done and she was not pregnant so the clearblue digital gave her a false positive

Im so lost lolll no idea what to get. If I can't find the pink dye tests at the supermarket I'll just order them on amazon tonight and hopefully receive them tomorrow

This morning I thought it was coming imminently as I felt light cramps, so I wore a pad to go to work, but still nothing so far and now I don't even feel it coming anymore, I don't feel anything not even a cramp.

I'll grab a test on my way back home this evening

Eeeeeee, that's promising! Fingers and toes crossed for you. And remember - stay away from the blue dye tests (Clearblue) for now - pink dye tests are way more reliable in the early days and less likely to give dodgy results.

update: AF due today or tomorrow! if AF not here by EOD tomorrow I'll do a test.

I had light AF cramps last night. A few acne spots have appeared as well in the last few days and last night soooooo..... dont know what to think lol!

@lily0309 Thank you 💕

I'm so impressed - 11DPO! When is your period due? (My luteal phase is really short at 11 days long so today is the day my period is scheduled to arrive, I forget it's more normal to have a luteal phase of 13/14 days!)

Really hope this is your month!

period due on monday or tuesday eeeek!! I ovulated on CD13 or 14, and my luteal phase is usually around 2 weeks yeah (13 to 14 days usually)

thank you so much, fingers crossed! I will keep you posted on here early next week!

@CTak omgggg yay!! congrats again :)

the mild period cramps lasted approximately 1.5 or 2 days

update today (10 or 11 DPO) - symptoms completely gone, I feel completely normal (I do have sore and swollen breasts, but that is something I get all the time before my period anyway so I can't use this as a sign).

I still haven't tested haha! Im so determined to wait till AF is due. I'm so stressed/scared of the outcome so I'm delaying the moment loll.

CTak · 05/07/2024 21:04

@lily0309 Eeeek, I don't want to give you false hope but I've been having those exact pains too and my tests are below! It's so annoying that period pain symptoms and early pregnancy symptoms are identical to one another.

Have you managed to hold off testing? Proud of you if you have 😂I bloody couldn't. And yes, can confirm, it's ludicrously addictive. My bathroom is currently covered in bits of card and plastic I've weed on!!

Got my fingers and toes crossed for you x

Hi @MaryMax @OchreBird - 9DPO here. Sorry I've been quiet, I've been trying desperately not to get my hopes up this month only to end up a teary mess when it all turns out to be another failed go of it.

Have either of your rampant symptom spottings (😂) born any fruit?...

Meanwhile, I caved this morning and tested. Then tested again. Then held my pee for 4.5 hours and tested again. And... we have vvvfls (but pink vvvfls!) on both the cheapies and the FR. Trying not to get our hopes up but it's the first time I've ever shown a line (let alone a pink one) on these things so fingers crossed it's our month. I'll do another test tomorrow AM with FMU and see if there's any line progression...

@lily0309 Welcome!!! How are you getting on? First baby?

@CTak thank you! yes, first one :)
I'm doing OK, I am 8 or 9 dpo today and I feel as if my period is about to arrive. I felt some mild cramps today in my lower uterus, as well as a weird mild stabbing leg pain (the same type of leg pain I sometimes get on first day of my periods)

I promised myself that I will not do any tests unless AF is at least 2 days late lol 😆I heard that once you start you can't stop it becomes an addiction😝

I definitely see a line on your tests!!! Congrats!!!

MaryMax · 03/07/2024 13:55

@CTak Ahhh I’m so pleased for you, very clear positives on all tests! Congrats. 🙌🏻

Unfortunately AF arrived early yesterday, so onto cycle 3. At least it stopped the manic testing early 😂 I only reached 10 DPO (and 7 DPO last cycle) so I’m worried about a short LP After stopping the pill but it has increased so that’s good. Nothing I can do but keep trying!

Thank you ❤Let's see, still trying to manage my expectations! However even if it turns out to be a chemical, at least we can say it is possible for his little guys to entertain my eggs!

I'm really sorry AF has shown her spiteful face. It's such a grim feeling. BUT it's your first month on the TTC train and now you've got a better idea of your cycle and peak timings (and your cycle will find it's post-pill rhythm over the next few months!) so fingers crossed for month two ✊ Hope to see a post from you in a month or two's time asking for line eyes!!!

Hii! I'm new here, and thought I'd join your little group! I believe I ovulated on either tuesday or wednesday this week (I didn't do any ovulation tests at all though so im purely guessing based on discharge and slight cramps I had around those days). However as my partner had a business trip, the last time we dtd was the saturday prior (so 3 or 4 days before ovulation). Not sure if that's good enough but will see! a lot of articles say that sperm can survive up to 5 days so I'm hoping it can still work

sending you all baby dust and positive energy xxx

@MaryMax & @OchreBird How are you both doing?

4DPO here and trying quite successfully to put myself in the mindset of "it's probably not your month, don't stress it". Popped into the health centre for my blood panel this afternoon. The GP will be reviewing those results next week so hopefully we'll have more clarity then. Think the next step is an internal ultrasound, whether private or NHS.

Hope you're both doing well x

I hope the GP gets you the answers you deserve 🤞 Fingers crossed for you xx

I’m 6dpo and fighting the urge to start early testing 🤣 I was really nauseous for the first 3/4 days DPO (too early for it to have been implantation which is odd), hoping the next week goes by fast but trying not to get my hopes too high :)

I’m ok thank you! 6DPO, I’m feeling nauseous and I’m really lethargic and struggling to concentrate. Keep slipping up at work 😂 which is adding to my stress!!! I’m really trying not to convince myself I’m pregnant by taking all these perfectly normal symptoms and making them into pregnancy symptoms but it’s so hard!

it’s good that you’re making progress, sounds really promising, fingers crossed for next week 🤞🏼
