Yeah I used them last time but felt like it was dead straightforward in terms of getting positive results. It’s month 2 this time round for us too and I told myself I’d be more chilled but apparently not 🤣 it took us a year the first time round so hoping it’ll be a little quicker this time which is why I’m panicking slightly! Best of luck lovely and thanks for you advice xx

DaisyEM · 22/07/2024 21:34

@MrsB902 did you do OPKs last time? I’m being much more chilled about TTC this time, but then again I’m only on month two, compared to 8 months of trying for #1 😅

DaisyEM · 22/07/2024 20:57

@MrsB902 yes totally normal, some days I might get a reading of 0.17 for example, next day 0.38 etc, those are all low readings and things like how concentrated your urine is etc will make it go up and down, but ultimately, it's not rising, so not at your peak yet x

Thank you, I’ll just keep testing then. I don’t remember it being this stressful last time round 🤣 xx

DaisyEM · 22/07/2024 21:00

@MrsB902 here's mine from this month if it helps x

MrsB902 · 22/07/2024 20:45

Thanks ladies, is it normal to fluctuate like that though? It’s my first month tracking with this app and I was thinking my levels would steadily rise. Maybe I’m testing too much! My cycle tends to be between 25-30 days and I’m currently on CD15. I’m feeling a bit baffled! I think I missed my peak last month too as didn’t get a fully positive reading so I’m paranoid I’m not ovulating.

lavafield · 22/07/2024 20:36

@MrsB902 I agree it is possible you haven't got your peak yet. How long is your cycle typically? This month, my LH levels fluctuated exactly like this, all in the low category, around CD13-15, then I got my peak suddenly on CD16 and it stayed at "high" levels for about 20 hours after that. I would say keep testing? Unlikely you missed it if you test 3 times a day!

DaisyEM · 22/07/2024 20:32

@MrsB902 looking at those levels I would say highly unlikely that you've peaked and missed it. I tend to get readings of around 0.60-0.80 when the rise begins and then above 1 for actual peak. Your lines are still super faint so need to keep testing. FYI I personally only test once a day, and then maybe twice when my OPKs start getting a lot darker (reading above 0.60) x

MrsB902 · 22/07/2024 20:13

First of all a massive congratulations to everyone who has got their BFP this month ❤️

Secondly, I’m not very clued up about ovulation so am very confused by my OPKs! I got the Premom app and ovulation tests as advised previously and have been testing 3 x daily. I started to get a bit of a darker line this morning but then tonight it was much lighter again! I’ve attached a pic for reference. I didn’t bother uploading half of the tests as the line was so faint. Shouldn’t my LH levels rise steadily until peak or can they fluctuate? Have I peaked within the few hours between tests?

I'm trying not to get carried away with myself, but one of my first pregnancy symptoms (that lasted all through the 1st trimester) with my son was extreme hunger, and I've had it all day today, despite eating normally. I'm 8DPO so think I'll test tomorrow. I've convinced myself I'm pregnant now 🙄

lavafield · 22/07/2024 15:09

On teas, heard from a friend who is pregnant and was told to avoid herbal teas including mint and camomile in the first trimester. But I agree there is a lot of conflicting info on Google! Camomile tea has been mentioned among those possibly causing uterine contractions so theoretically (though very unlikely) could mess with implantation. Peppermint tea is only mentioned as best to avoid in large quantities in the first trimester. But I am sure it is just a precaution, and an odd cup or two of peppermint tea or even camomile tea won't harm anyone but I admit I consume much more though, as many as 4-6 cups of herbal teas a day.

The NHS says 1-2 cups of any herbal teas won't make a difference in early pregnancy.

HRHXO · 22/07/2024 15:04

@lavafield I've nit heard that about peppermint tea, I literally live off the stuff 😳 I drank so much wheb I was pregnant last time because it helped so much with my nausea ill be gutted if I can't drink it lol

CoolSummer89 · 22/07/2024 14:36

@Lou0811 I'm OK. My ovulation has been a bit weird this time and I have yet to have a temp rise so wondering if I haven't ovulated yet? Thought I did on Saturday, yet I got some unexpected EWCM last night (Sunday). Oh well, I am willing to write off this month and hopefully be more relaxed in August when most of my company is on leave and work will be a lot calmer.

@souiii sorry to hear that! Onwards and upwards :)

@lavafield where did you see that about peppermint tea? Everything I have read is that it is calming and full of antioxidants so on balance it is good for TTC.

DaisyEM · 22/07/2024 14:15

@lavafield gosh you'd think I'd remember all of this from last time but I haven't! I have the odd chamomile and peppermint tea, so best drop those. I might try and cut back to one cup of tea and one coffee a day for now, as will probably make it easier to cut back again if/when pregnant.

lavafield · 22/07/2024 12:47

@DaisyEM I also limit myself to one cup of coffee in the morning, and maybe two cups of either black or green tea during the day. As I seem to be out this month I wonder if I should try and cut back next cycle...I tried to add more herbal teas to then surprisingly find out that peppermint, camomile, hibiscus and a range of other herbal infusions are a no-no when TTC or in early pregnancy! Rooibos, ginger and fruit teas are apparently fine.

DaisyEM · 22/07/2024 12:39

Does anyone limit caffeine while TTC? I have two cups of tea and an instant coffee a day, and I’ve just quickly looked up the pregnancy limits (currently 8DPO) and I’m over at the mo. When I was pregnant with DS I cut out caffeine completely but I don’t think I could do that this time around with a three year old to run around after 😅

souiii · 22/07/2024 08:15

AF arrived this morning - maybe next month

Wishing everyone luck!

Sorry been a busy couple of weeks and haven't been on here at all!

Many congrats to @LeleMR @teresynums @HRHXO @RKH @CrimsonWitch88 on your BFPs. And extra special congratulations to the birthday girl @Moomoo20.

Oh @Lou0811 I can't believe that you are still in limbo. Are you also doing OPKs/LH tests?

I am 1dpo today (I think) however this month has been plagued with illness and busy work. My temps have been all over the place and not had many ovulation symptoms, so perhaps I haven't even ovulated? Let's just say not holding out too much hope this cycle. Luckily I will be away for CD9-CD11 which is when I tend to go full on symptom spotting crazy 😜

Best of luck to everyone still on their journey for July!

It’s driving me crazy!

im going to test again next weekend possibly, as it will be 2 weeks since we had a weekend of ‘dtd’ and with a relaxed approach…

I’ve stopped with ovulation testing as I’m getting a similar reading all week, month etc!

I do have my bloods on Tuesday for FSH, so hopefully I’ll get some more answers.

it’s becoming incredibly frustrating!

thank you for asking. How are you? Xx

Marshmallow99 · 21/07/2024 14:34

Congratulations to those who have got their BFPs 🥰 @Moomoo20 the best birthday present!!!

@DaisyEM i also had twinges on my right side around 9dpo, convinced myself also that it could be implantation 😂

I am 11dpo today and tests are negative so think I’m out again 😮‍💨

might take a break if not successful this month, I’ve been thinking of changing jobs and have held off thinking I could be pregnant but after a year of negatives I’m not putting my life on hold anymore. Feeling like poop 😔

Aw I'm so sorry lovely, I totally understand how frustrating it is every month and the feeling of putting everything else on hold while ttc. Fingers crossed it happens soon for you x

Moomoo20 · 21/07/2024 20:37

HRHXO · 21/07/2024 17:29

@Moomoo20 oohhhh I love having a due date twin lol although since my son was a preemie ill unlikely make it to my due date BUT the 28th is my late grandma's birthday so that would feel so special. I've just joined in the Due March 2025 thread on here even though it still feels very tentative, have you seen that one or intend to join in at all?

Aw bless, my little nephew was a preemie born at 28 weeks and he was absolutely tiny as you can imagine. He's 7 now and towering over all his classmates 💪
My daughter was 5 days past her due date. My husband said imagine if the baby was born on April fools day 😅. No I haven't joined that group but I will thanks x

SummerSun24 · 21/07/2024 19:27

Congratulations to those with there BFPs. What a lovely birthday gift @Moomoo20 !!

souiii · 21/07/2024 17:53

I'm 12 dpo today, and had some light pink discharge yesterday, and now it is brownish. It isn't heavy or anything

Is this AF telling me she is on her way?

I've been pretty moody and nauseous, with my boobs being real sore
