@Splishsplashsplosh93 everything crossed for you! You're making me want an oura ring!

Big temp drop for me this morning and AF due tomorrow so I'm out.

Hopefully some BFPs for everyone else! 🤞🏻

Ah so sorry to hear that. Sending you all the hope that next month is your month (or AF doesn't arrive!).

I'm 8dpo, another BFN! I've never tested every day before not sure what's changed. I think it's because it's been so many cycles and we're doing allll the things to make it happen I feel like it has to be us at some point Easter Hmm

Ah @Splishsplashsplosh93 I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Which app are you using? I've been using natural cycles since Jan but the first month I've used to to plan pregnancy rather than prevent!

I'm using natural cycles as my temps sync automatically with my fitness ring. I was terrible with forgetting thermometer before then and have short cycles between 24-28 days so really needed to pinpoint ovulation.

@MaryMax @DaisyEM Yes, that is what normally happens: when there is a sudden rise in BBT and premom immediately sets the day as the O day. Then my BBT keeps rising and premom still doesn't adjust the O day. However on the day of LH surge, I use the app to take the picture of the LH strip and it is shown as peak then the app resets the O day to the exact day.
It doesn't matter as long as I know I ovulated however I don't like the fact that I cannot change the O day on premom.

Edited

It’s worked for me today- it’s picked up my peak LH test from this morning and changed ovulation to tomorrow now! 😆 I guess I’m about to enter the TTW in a day or two 🤞🏼feels like it’s been a loooong wait, ovulating late in your cycle is not fun!

Yes, there is an app called Health on iPhone. You go to the app , click on "Show All Health Data" then look for Resting Heart Rate. Open it and you will see the chart under D, W, M, 6M and Y.

Thank you, I had a look at that earlier but it just shows me a ‘range’ for the day; so for example today it’s 55-121, instead of showing me just an acreage for RHR. I’m assuming it’s showing me the full range from sleeping to being active. Can’t figure out how to just see the RHR 🤦🏻‍♀️

LucyCL · 21/06/2024 18:20

DaisyEM · 21/06/2024 10:59

RHR is resting heart rate. That's so funny premom is doing that. Do you think perhaps if you ovulate past a certain date it's just like 'nope'?! Mine was predicting ovulation for CD15 for ages and ignoring my negative OPKs, but once input a positive on CD17 it switched to CD18 for ovulation. Saying that, when we were TTC #1 I ovulated CD31 (🙄), and it put that as my ovulation day in line with my OPKs and BBT. Maybe once you get your temp rise it will sort itself out? In the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter as you know when you ovulated, but it's nice to have a nice neat chart isn't it!

Thanks so much :) does your apple watch give you an RHR chart? I can only seem to find today's RHR, or do you have to check it daily and chart it? Ah possibly! Is this your first month checking RHR? I charted BBT when TTC our son, which was very reliable (despite my haywire cycles). I was planning on taking a relaxed approach this time, but if I can easily see my RHR on my Apple Watch I may as well check it 😂

I’m not sure what RHR is sorry but I do track my BBT on natural cycles and the Premom app and I have been doing OPK’s.

In terms of Premom getting your ovulation date wrong it’s done the same to me- I have only just got my peak this morning (and static smiley on clear blue OPK) and I’m CD21- but Premom refuses to believe this and has kept my ovulation date as last week at CD16 😂 natural cycles seems to be better at updating depending on your LH tests and BBT!

In theory, RHR rises when you are getting close to the ovulation day. Then it stays elevated during 2ww until AF shows up then drops. If pregnant, it will keep increasing.
A lot of people have had the same experience however not in my case. Perhaps I am not yet close to ovulate so my RHR stays low?

Has anyone been using RHR and BBT to track ovulation and potential pregnancy?

This new cycle I started to use the apple watch to predict ovulation. I have read some threads talking about RHR increases when it is close to ovulation then keeps rising until AF or stay elevated if pregnant. BBT also does the same thing.
However today is CD11 for me, and my BBT has risen whereas RHR has dropped again.
I can tell I am half way there to my O day (CD20) and my baseline BBT is around 36.4 and now it is around 36.7.
Has anyone had any similar experience? Any thoughts?

Premom just assumes I ovulated which is WRONG. Usually my BBT goes up to around 37 degrees after I ovulate.

I’m not sure what RHR is sorry but I do track my BBT on natural cycles and the Premom app and I have been doing OPK’s.

@LucyCL how do you use heart rate to track ovulation? I might have to look into this as that's something my Apple Watch does track, but not BBT because it's an older model 😅

Lovedatforme · 21/06/2024 08:52

@LucyCL I've only ever used ovulation sticks here too. My BBT & heart rate can be all over the place due to autoimmune issues, I've found ovulation sticks usually fairly accurate.

Kiwiburgh · 20/06/2024 23:00

@LucyCL I only use ovulation tests to check and has been successful for me last 2 pregnancies.
I'd struggle to rely on heart rate as it can vary so much. I think temping wouldn't work for me as I work shifts and also get up to a toddler during the night.

Can I join? Had a MMC last cycle, finally ovulated and will be 1DPO tomorrow so starting the 2WW. Managed to BD day before ovulation and day of so hopefully it's enough.

I would suggest you to BD on 1 dpo and 2 dpo to maximise the chance. I did the same last cycle and didn't get a BFP. However that was the cycle after a CP. Maybe this new cycle will be different for you?

I had another big temp increase this morning at 6DPO so got overexcited and took a test (I know, too early!). BFN of course Easter Blush

How are you?

A big increase at 6 DPO is still good! 😊Are you having any symptoms?
Today is CD11 and I expect to ovulate on CD20 if things go according to plan! My BBT has been rising halfway so I know I am half way there to the O day. Have been BD'ing every day to maximise the chance. I believe there is only 25% chance to get pregnant if I am right.

@LucyCL not much going on here! I’m 5DPO so a way to go yet. I’ve had a tough couple of days with DS as he’s poorly and really struggling, and very clingy to me as a result, so I’ve just poured myself a glass of wine. But now I’m wondering if that’s ok?! Does anyone stop drinking for the TWW? I hardly drink at all, at the most 2-3 glasses of wine a week. When we were TTC #1 I stopped drinking completely. I feel like the odd drink is ok until you get a positive? I don’t know if you share any kind of blood supply until at least implantation?!

I have seen people talking about drinking a small glass of wine is fine during 2WW. But I stopped drinking completely at the beginning of May. Before that, I drank once per month.
When are you going to test?

@Kiwiburgh thanks! This is our first cycle TTC2, but if it takes a while it would be miserable to not be able to have a glass of wine here and there ☺️

Kiwiburgh · 20/06/2024 20:34

@DaisyEM no harm in a glass of wine, Especially at 5dpo when it hasn't implanted yet :)
Tbh even an occasional drink after a positive test is fine. Just no binging sessions 😆
