Just turned 47 and got this result on an easy at home test (mid morning, same result mid afternoon)

5 weeks since last period (usually fairly regular at 28 days - been a little less regular over last few months, so assumed perimenopause was starting)

Not actually ttc, but definitely not doing anything to prevent it.

So.... would you believe this result?
Or could I be getting a false result because I'm in/near perimenopause?

I'm 47. Should I believe this?

💐 I'm sorry, it's okay to feel sad. I had a chemical pregnancy the year before last and I felt so upset. Take care of yourself @lizziecat1 ❤️

Thank you so much for all your kind words. I hadn't told anyone apart from my husband, so it really is amazing to have this support on here. Thank you all, and all the best with whatever stage of the ttc journey you are on yourself.

I actually think that’s wise oP if you don’t feel the need to.

Sometimes people need to talk, but equally sometimes putting things behind you can be harder a bit down the road if you’ve made them more “ concrete” as an incident people refer to.
I hope you are feeling healthy and can have a lovely indulgent weekend. X

Oh I’m so very sorry OP.
As a few others have said, if it’s ignited something in you that you want to try, we went abroad with donor eggs and PGTA. Amazingly quick and simply and so cheap compared to the U.K. but their 5* clinic and staff makes the private IVF over here look diabolical.

Mumtobabyhavoc · 20/06/2024 20:03

@lizziecat1 I'm so sorry for you. Reading your latest update brought me back to my own loss last year. I understand the hope, then the sadness.
Sending support from across the pond. 💕
