Right, so I can't start this thread using anything like..."Here we go ladies!"

So, will have to come up with something completely different....

How about Congratulations Kay!

The most annoying thing about mine is that whoever is sitting in the front seat can stand on the footrest which pushes on the front wheel, stopping it going round! The seats look comfier too

I have to take the back seat off to fold it too (only in 2 toddler mode though, baby and toddler mode folds fine).

NatalieJane · 08/04/2008 14:16

OK OK, you have worn me down, it is on the maybe list, the only one on there I might add, although I have just seen the Mutsy duo seat one.....

I am not spending anymore time looking at double buggies, I don't want one, and I will not need one

P.S. the new one is nicer looking, but is that really worth the extra £££'s, having said that it says it is even lighter...... Not that I am thinking about it.......

MoosMa · 08/04/2008 14:09

I have panniers for mine, but the new one has a bigger basket underneath anyway.

MoosMa · 08/04/2008 14:08

This is the new one

NatalieJane · 08/04/2008 14:03

ever even

I think the P&T is growing on me, still not sure, and I don't know where I'd put all the shopping, but then it wouldn't be that long that I need it..... hmmmmmm might go and have a quick look!! LOL

NatalieJane · 08/04/2008 14:01

this, well exactly the same as that, but I got it for £44 brand new in the it's box I feel all excited, not that he can ever use it, at least until the ground defrosts!

MoosMa · 08/04/2008 13:48

Congrats Nat, what was it?

MoosMa · 08/04/2008 13:47

It's very easy to steer as it's really no bigger than most 3 wheelers. It does need a bit of concentration to go up kerbs (like any other 3 wheeler) but it's pretty easy really.

I heart my P&T

NatalieJane · 08/04/2008 13:46

Woooooo hooooooooooooo I won the eBay thing Beat the other bidder as well, god I love this feeling!!!!! LOL

NatalieJane · 08/04/2008 13:43

Is it easy to steer around shops? Doesn't it go to one side when you go up a curb?

MoosMa · 08/04/2008 13:42

Mine also came with (I expect the new style has something similar) a raincover flap thing to put over the opening at the back which keeps old ladies' noses toddlers' fingers out.

MoosMa · 08/04/2008 13:40

Looky here

And here

And here too

NatalieJane · 08/04/2008 13:38

Oooooooh I've got just over 7 mins on my eBay thing, fingers are at the ready to do some serious bidding

I love this bit LOL How sad am I?!!

Moosma, good points about not having people wake the baby up, I might add it on the maybe list after all, not that I have a maybe list for doubles....!

MoosMa · 08/04/2008 13:27

Kays, the baby has to go underneath to start with as that's the lying flat part, but once they can sit up they can go in either seat. DD2 goes in the front now as DD1 chose to go in the back seat - it's easier for her to hop in and out. If you do decide on one, really do wait and get the new model (Vibe) they've changed the things that annoy me about mine.

Also I found it good that DD2 was tucked away in the back, it stopped people breathing over her and poking her (and waking her up) and it's reallt cosy especially in bad weather. And if you look down you can see your new little baby without having to peer

Can you tell I love mine??

NatalieJane · 08/04/2008 12:56

LOL Pop, a girl after my own heart

kayzisexpecting · 08/04/2008 12:56

Thanks Popcorn! I will show dh that.

popcornprincess · 08/04/2008 12:55

I'm so addicted to pushcahirs. I'm on nu,mber 5 and DD is not even 3 yet. I'm slowly getting my mum addicted too. If we go out,she will say 'ooh what buggy is that?' and I can always reel of the answer immediately. She has also been known to comment on the colour clash of the buggy and the childs clothes - I've taught her well!

popcornprincess · 08/04/2008 12:52

Just found this:

Value for money 10/10
Overall value 9/10

Good Points
Easy to manoeuvre
Great colours
Not as expensive as the bugaboo

Bad Points
None. Any double stroller is not easy to lift, fold up and put away. Most people lock it up in their front porch anyway.

General Comments
I love the Firstwheels City Twin stroller. As I had read the previous review, I beg to differ about the difficulty of entering doors. I found that it exceeded my expectations of most doors. I have twins, and it is very practical light and easy to assemble. Most mistake it for a Bugaboo (which I find overrated anyway). I looked into a Bugaboo and would probably be paying 30 - 40% more than a Firstwheels for the same value. I love the adjustments of the handles, and I also love the simplicity of the design. The Bassinets are a little heavier than the original seats, but are very useful. GO get it.

kayzisexpecting · 08/04/2008 12:51

I do it too. Especially as most people here have pink pushchairs. I am 1 of 3 people to have a boy where I work for the last 5 years and we've had a lot of Co-Op babies born!!

NatalieJane · 08/04/2008 12:47

Ooooh I am glad I'm not the only one who buggy spies around town My DH says I can name almost every buggy within a 300m radius, I can't help it, and I do comment on it to DH quietly LOL

kayzisexpecting · 08/04/2008 12:45

Yeah Mothercare has 2 reviews that both say its very good. I think we will definetly go to york this Saturday(despite the weather and go have a look) If we decide on the P&T we might buy it when we sell ds's pram and use it as a single pushchair.

popcornprincess · 08/04/2008 12:42

I've seen a couple of people with this buggy in and around towna nd they seem to have no problems. Is there a website that has reviews?

NatalieJane · 08/04/2008 12:40

LOL Teuch I am the same, I start looking, and have the switch card at the ready before I know it, mind you I am the same with most things really!

It's good you can get different colours!

kayzisexpecting · 08/04/2008 12:38

We're going to go and have a look at it in Mothercare.

Can the baby go on the top of the P&T's?

NatalieJane · 08/04/2008 12:33

How big is your town? I only ask because if it is anything like ours, we have trouble getting our buggy in and around the shops, but if you have a big town (with big doors!) and it will go through your front door, then go for it, if that's what you want.

I would try and get it from somewhere that accepts returns though, I think you will be surprised by how big and heavy it actually is in real life!
