Right, so I can't start this thread using anything like..."Here we go ladies!"

So, will have to come up with something completely different....

How about Congratulations Kay!

I agree with NJ you must keep us posted..

NatalieJane · 08/04/2008 18:14

Bugger, don't give up just yet, we all know how crap the cheapies are, and that they don't mean a thing. I want at least hourly updates tomorrow as to what is happening re. period or no show, and I want a test done on Thursday (not Friday please, I won't be here!!) Thankyoumuchly

Diege · 08/04/2008 18:12

I've got the horn . Well, I buckled under the pressure and did a test with my (arrived today) e-bay cheepies. BFN, so no surprise there! Pretty pleased (though a teenny bit disappointed ) as really did want to avoid xmas babe. Still no sign of af, but there again (last month apart) would be due on tomorrow on normal cycle.
My hope now is that af is as late as poss so that if I did get pregnant next month my sickness wouldn't kick in till mid-May. Not ideal with my job, but better than April sickness.
Will have a proper read through later

NatalieJane · 08/04/2008 18:06

LOL LL, "you have to sneak back to see if diege comes on....... SHe hasn't replied to your horn..." that sounds very ahem.... norty

Hiya Cosmo, still no period eh? Have you tested?

Cosmogirl · 08/04/2008 17:56

Hi ladies,

Sorry haven't had time to catch up yet. CD 52 here. Still no sign of AF. I think I've forgotten what a period feels like! Hoping I am like Tink and it turns up on CD55. If not, seems eight years on the pill really has confused the poor old hormones...

lardylumps · 08/04/2008 17:31

you have to sneak back to see if diege comes on....... SHe hasn't replied to your horn...

NatalieJane · 08/04/2008 17:29

Awww bummer about the notice, that I expect is a bit of a shock after the original 3 months he was told

Good about your other little problem though.... see, you never needed to tell us everything after all!!

Will keep fingers crossed for your extra hours

Right I am off to do tea, see you all tomorrow (unless I sneak back in a bit!! xxx

lardylumps · 08/04/2008 17:27

Diege are you there, have you tested yet young lady?????

lardylumps · 08/04/2008 17:13

I am on CD15 today and if my cycle is like last month then I am on the 2 WW... Still going to gof everyday until Friday though just to be on the safe side.

I think I must of imagined the mouth thing yesturday because I woke up fine this morning, mind playing tricks on me I think.

I have just asked work for extra hours so fingers crossed for me as DP has been given two weeks notice

NatalieJane · 08/04/2008 16:24

OK, see you soon

happynappies · 08/04/2008 16:21

Better go get dd up - she's been napping for a long time this pm. Will be back with plenty more questions no doubt! See you soon.

NatalieJane · 08/04/2008 16:18

First month properly off the wagon this month, but only on CD3 or 2 (or is it 4?!!) or something like that! I don't bother counting till I get the EWCM then I know things are hotting up! Means I can spend at least the first half of the month in relatively peaceful ignorance!!

DH's never quite get it, until the baby is born, then it smacks them in the face all at once. Poor things, they don't have the whole build up thing that we get!

happynappies · 08/04/2008 16:15

Yep - dh is completely 'lets just see how it goes' and doesn't understand why I'm neurotically scanning ttc threads, and permanently asking questions. Reading up on childbirth like theres no tomorrow because really want it all to be different this time. Where are you at NJ? Are you testing/waiting/trying...

NatalieJane · 08/04/2008 16:13

I think it is always half exciting half terrifying, and the fear that rips through you when you see that BFP almost over takes the excitment, so many ups and downs, on top of the TTC'ing stresses.

Still, we have MN to moan unload on to, because let's face it the DH's are pretty useless in such circumstances!!

happynappies · 08/04/2008 16:08

Thanks NJ - I know exactly what you mean about more pressure in an already stressful time. Feel stressed already!!! which isn't exactly the way to ttc, I know! Am part excited, and part terrified. Funny how May has come around very quickly!!

NatalieJane · 08/04/2008 16:05

I think OV sticks are one of those things, you either give in and devote your life to, or you fight the urge and go it alone!

I would think really speaking you should give it at least 6 months before you start anything like that, IMO all things like that do is put soooooo much more pressure and strain into an already stressful time. But as I say that is my opinion, and you can do what ever you want.

I have been told though that they are not always correct, you can easily mis-understand them, and then you are in a no better position than not using them.

Welcome back though It has been a while!! 4 weeks to go eh? Exciting!!

happynappies · 08/04/2008 16:01

Hi everyone - haven't posted for ages, but lurk around watching for BFPs... can I ask your advice? Due to start ttc'ing in 4 weeksish, have you been using ovulation sticks? Tbh had never heard of them, but someone mentioned them to me the other day. Fell pg quickly with first, but have no idea when I ov, although seem to have regularish cycle, should I shouldn't I? any views?

NatalieJane · 08/04/2008 16:00

No, she is still putting on a shy face and saying she is expected her period any day, but she is late (by last months standards) and she knows she want's to test....!

Honk her again, quick, DS2 is making a funny noise, think it means he want's me to at least look over in his direction....!

YouCantTeuchThis · 08/04/2008 15:56

ooohhhh, was she meant to be testing today??!!

Has this wagon got a horn? I'll honk 'er...

That should summon her

NatalieJane · 08/04/2008 15:51

Yep me to on the headache front.

I am sure they will bring more colours out by the time any of us are looking to actually buy!

C'mon Teuch, join in the fun, you might need one for the lambs....

Where is Diege, has she done a bloody test yet or what?!! How dare she keep us all in suspence like this?!!

YouCantTeuchThis · 08/04/2008 15:45

still buggies??!!

Kay - very normal, butprobably due to tiredness, hunger or dehydration. I had them and they were always worse if I hadn't eaten enough (or eaten well!) or needed water/a rest.

kayzisexpecting · 08/04/2008 14:45

I dont like the new one. I think it looks horrible and only comes in 2 colours.

Are really bad headaches common in pregnancy? I didn't have them with ds and I have been getting them since Sunday.

NatalieJane · 08/04/2008 14:32

LOL You should do!

I am thinking I am just going to wait and see, if it takes me 6 months to get pregnant, I should deffo get away with not having to get a double in the first place. If I get pregnant sooner than that, then I think I am just going to have to wait and see what DS2 is like with walking closer to the time. DS1 wouldn't go in his buggy after about 20 months, if DS2 is the same I might get away with it.

popcornprincess · 08/04/2008 14:30

ok - i don't really like the P&T but I have to admit that i have used one and it did push nicely. My friend and I used to run with the buggies (when the kids were younger - they are way too heavy now). I ran with my Bugaboo cameleon which was a nightmare as it really isn't designed for that!!! and my friend ran with her P&T. We used to swap buggies and babies half way round to get a good all round work out - IYKWIM

MoosMa · 08/04/2008 14:26

Do you think I'll get commission for this?
