Right, so I can't start this thread using anything like..."Here we go ladies!"

So, will have to come up with something completely different....

How about Congratulations Kay!

OP posts:
kayzisexpecting · 10/04/2008 12:23

Oh when the baby gets here she'll be all over it. She was round nearly every day when I had ds. It was so annoying.

YouCantTeuchThis · 10/04/2008 12:21

If she can't be gracious enough to offer congratulations before criticism then it is only polite of you to farking well ignore her!!!

There will be plenty of happiness around your baby and she will only lose out if she chooses to take this position so early.

Sad woman.

kayzisexpecting · 10/04/2008 12:19

I know I am not J-lo and I cant afford a rolls royce pram but we are selling the old pram to buy the new one. Due to DH's disabilty we get the sure start maternity grant we will use that to buy a new cotbed, a moses basket and clothes. If we have another boy we have all the clothes we need.

tinkerbellbringingsexyback · 10/04/2008 12:16

hi ladies

i was watching lazy town the other morning and said "i have never seen sportacus get that out before" unfortunatly it was just his small space ship lol someone had to lower the tone
k what right does she have to make that comment charming!! who can afford babies!!

kayzisexpecting · 10/04/2008 12:09

Just told MIL and she is very unhappy and says we cant afford another baby! I am very sad not even a sniff of a congratulations.

Why do we need MIL's anyway?

NatalieJane · 10/04/2008 11:54

NatalieJane · 10/04/2008 11:33

Am now thinking even a resounding no would be better than nothing......

NatalieJane · 10/04/2008 11:29

We are only going down to my mums, nothing too exciting!

LOL at filthy minds, we haven't had one of those conversations for a while, what is the matter with me us?

I'll start shall I?

Erm....

Diege · 10/04/2008 11:19

Oh and meant to say hi to POPCORN

Diege · 10/04/2008 11:18

We've been waiting months haven't we!! Was it January the thread started? I also lurked for a while, thinking maybe I was a bit of an oldie, before realising that I was cut from the same cloth as the rest of you, what with my filthy mind etc etc .
Nat, I will need to read back through thread to find out where you are off to this weekend! Sounds exciting anyway!
Well, I must take a break in my active work schedule to leave the computer and get my roots done at the hairdressers. It's a tough life.. Speak later x
ps: Hmmm, a glass of Buck's Fizz would be very nice wouldn't it?

NatalieJane · 10/04/2008 11:07

Diege I am with you with the 'it seems like we have been trying since joining this thread' Can anyone actually remember when the thread was started? How long have we waited already?

So I am getting packed up for the weekend, we want to leave early early tomorrow morning so I am doing the packing today, DS2 is being sick everytime he moves, DS1 is just being his usual PITA self, his attitude is worse than mine ever was even when I was a teen ! I am taking DS2's temp every bloody 5 minutes incase it starts rising and he starts fitting, and it is only 11 o'clock, I have the rest of the day to get through yet!

Please stop talking about alcohol now, else I might just cave and go and get a box in from the garage!!!

popcornprincess · 10/04/2008 10:57

Hello ladies - working hard today but thought I would pop in and give you all a big fat wave!!!!

Speak to you all later.
x

kayzisexpecting · 10/04/2008 10:37

Right I will have the glass of champagne. It will be the only be the only alcoholic drink I will have during my entire pregnancy so I doubt it will do any harm.

Diege · 10/04/2008 10:13

Ok, so day 1 it is!! Have put it on my calender .
Hi Tink and Playing . PMSL Playing at bringng lack of MN time up at work review . I too feel really pissed off if I don't get a chance to go on during the day - like they should compensate me in some way??

YouCantTeuchThis · 10/04/2008 10:09

usually count day 1 as the first day of red flow.

I went totally off alcohol (good 2 or 3 bottles down the sink for being 'off' before I got a +ve hpt ). But then at about 13-14 weeks, I got a craving for it!!

tinkerbellbringingsexyback · 10/04/2008 10:09

hi k one glass is fine trip sounds great!!
d sorry to hear that evil witch got you
yctt loving the name lol not sure about chart assuming that i ovulated cd17

Playingthewaitinggame · 10/04/2008 10:08

Morning all, not had time to post yet this week as I am actually having to do work at work!! I know what you're all thinking, the god damn cheek, actually having to do work at work and not having time to surf on MN, I agree, i think I might bring it up in my review later on in the month.

Not really had time to catch up properly, SORRY!

Kay - I'd go for the glass of champagne personally. I have no plans of giving up alcohol completely during pg, I will savour my one glass a week (unless of course I am too sick and cant drink it)! In fact I am seriously proud of myself, I have gone 3 whole days in a row without a drink this week, thats unheard of in the Playing household, I like my glass or three of wine a night.

Diege · 10/04/2008 10:04

Thanks Teuch . Oh and a 'logistics' question that I know everyone asks but I can;t remember the answer. Started spotting last night, and proper af today - does that mean it's CD1 today, or CD2??

Diege · 10/04/2008 10:02

Hi Nat! Yes, can't believe it's our official 'going live' time . I think it seems like I've been trying since I joined the thread if you see what I mean!
Kay - let's hope the sickness fades after all that! TBH, even the sight of a glass of champagne would have made me heave during my pregnancies - would be sod's law if it were the same for you! Having said that, I do remember having a glass or 2 on my wedding day when I was 24 weeks!

YouCantTeuchThis · 10/04/2008 10:00

Kay, just to echo what these wise women are saying Oh, and take a poly bag with some kitchen roll/napkins in, in case you are sick!!

Diege - I know you are not surprised but sorry anyway, and roll on official TTC!!

Tink - you still haven't told us what your chart means

Cal...fingers crossed.

NatalieJane · 10/04/2008 09:57

Will the champers be on ice in the bucket? Just make sure you empty the ice out at ground level

kayzisexpecting · 10/04/2008 09:56

I will do it. I'm personally more worried that if the morning sickness stays that I'll be sick on there.

NatalieJane · 10/04/2008 09:55

Kay, I think the main problem with drinking alcohol in pregnancy is the whole Infant Alcohlism thingymebob, which only occurs when you are downing bottles of vodka like it's water. One glass of champers is not going to do any harm what so ever.

I have drunk throughout all of my pregnancies, up to a bottle of wine a week, though not every week! (I know that sounds really bad, but bareing in mind you only get 4 glasses in a bottle, that is like 2 glasses on a Saturday night (you have to, it's the law!!! ) a glass on a Tuesday and a glass on a Thursday). Both of mine went full term, and more, to good weights, and were the easiest babies ever, neither of them could even be bothered to cry when they were born, and they haven't changed much since!

Seriously, I really wouldn't worry about having a glass, or even two!

Diege Sorry about your period, but as you say first offical month of TTC'ing, it's exciting isn't it?!! Bloody hell, that horn works though doesn't it?!!!!! LOL

Diege · 10/04/2008 09:53

EXACTLY!!! The last post on the your other thread does exactly what I hate 'yes, there's no medical/scientific advice to avoid it...it's all about making sure hormonal women don't think one unit means 20, yadda yadda, so yes, avoid it in the first trimester???? You are right - a single glass, even a bloomin bottle over a week won't do any harm whatsoever - enjoy!!
