Currently TTC number 2 and struggling after getting pregnant fairly easily with number 1 (on cycle 3)!
Thought I'd start a thread so we can all support each other. Anyone else on their TTC journey for number 2? I am currently on cycle 7 and have ruled myself out already as negative pregnancy test at 10DPO. Each month I convince myself that I am pregnant! Experienced a chemical at cycle 3 😩

Aw that’s great news @NattyPeer how far on are you? Hopefully this one sticks, it’s sounding really positive x

AF is due today for me, nowhere to be seen and testing negative on strip tests so not sure whether I should break out the clear blue and see if it picks up anything. Weirdly my Flo app says it might still be too early to test (I have shorter cycles) so I’m really not sure what’s going on. I usually spot for a couple of days before AF and none of that but there’s not even a hint of a line on the tests so I think I might just be late.

Thank you!!! How are you doing? did AF show?

I am now 7 w + 5 days today! xx

It’s lovely that you are still around! I will be the same if this one is a sticky one 🤞! My next scan is on Thursday! Praying for the best xx

Well… update from me. Had an early scan at 6+5 and can definitelY say I’d recommend coq10 as there are currently two heartbeats…. Twins! One is measuring 5 days behind and just says “subtle heartbeat” rather than “heartbeat present” on report so I don’t know if that twin will hang on but they have their own yolk sacs so I guess could have fertilised later and be behind…. Trying to stay positive. Crazy that I think I released two eggs!

This is such wonderful news! And wow TWINS! Praying that they both will be sticky for you! Xxxx

@SkaterChick oh that’s great, which one? I took the zita west coq10 and DHA. I obviously can’t ever prove it was that but it was our 7 month of trying after a mmc and was the only thing that had changed!

I took the proceive conception which has C0Q10 in it! I tried a mix of vitamins before with C0Q10 on its own but didn’t seem to do the trick but could just be luck!!!

Hey ladies sorry I've been off grid a little again. The germs just have not stopped at our house we've all been so sick.
We dtd Thursday (cd 18) and I just this morning got my opk peak(cd21). But we're not going to get anymore in cause I got hit by the nasty chesty cough thing DS brought home on Friday and then yesterday I was bit with what I think was food poisoning (no one else has been sick and I went out for dinner Thursday) and this morning hubby is full of the chesty cough thing.
Oh well such is life.
All bringing up lots of memories though as I got my peak with DS on boxing day and due to us having COVID and things he was conceived 25th or 26th!

@NattyPeer that's wonderful news about your scan, hopefully that's helped Tou feel less anxious? 💜

@Ttcin2021 I started a conception multivitamin with this at the start of the month. Not holding much hope for this month due to life and things but fingers crossed for Jan 🤞🏼🤞🏼

@SkaterChick i have my next scan on Thursday so let’s see what that brings!

I found the proceive conception to be the one that’s help me along with extra vitamin d and omega 3!

Heyyy! So I actually went for a private scan today as I had it booked before the EPU so thought I would still go! Anyway they did an ultrasound (on stomach) and there was the little bean measuring where it should be! The lady did say that the NHS scanners aren’t very good as she works for the NHS and private clinic!!!! Feel much more relieved now. Hoping things will keep looking up.

Sending love and positive vibes. Xx hoping there are some Christmas miracles in this group

Keeping everything crossed for you that this is a sticky bean ♥️♥️♥️♥️ I'm 25 weeks now with our little miracle and the first part was so stressful worrying about whether it would stay etc. But here we are. The weeks roll on and before you know it your past hallway. Can't quite bring myself to leave the thread as I want to see all the positive updates. Really hope this works out for you and sending everyone else lots of baby dust xxx

Update: went to EPU as was still having spotting. Wasn’t actually spotting today mind you. Anyway they have seen a little bean, yolk sac and flicker heart beat but it’s measuring a week behind so I need to go back in two weeks!!!

Anyone have a thermometer they can recommend? Specifically one that doesn't bloody beep!!

Also, anyone have some baby making friendly lube suggestions? Dh has some dermatitis on his penis and the Dr recommended lube before sex to make sure the skin is softened and at least risk of splitting while he waits for specialist referral

Ouch!!!! We use Preseed which I prefer over conceive plus. Hope he gets that sorted soon.

I have the natural cycles thermometer but it does beep. However, I am sure that any accurate thermometer with decimal places will do the trick to be honest!

@SarahB88 I used Premom for the ovulation tests, and then fertility friend for the temping and logging DTD, positive ovulation for a peak etc. I preferred the style of fertility friend and it’s a bit better for charting the temperature. However I used Premom for the ease of uploading the tests and tracking them.

SarahB88 · 04/12/2024 21:24

@Blue2020 ah I’ve not heard of that one, thank you. I’ve been using Flo for a while and used it when I got pregnant with my daughter. Only been using premom to log my OPKs but not sure how good it is for other info so will check this one out.

SarahB88 · 04/12/2024 19:50

Thank you! That sounds easy enough ☺️

I might try it next month if we are successful this time round.

I used a thermometer (to two decimal places- cheap one from Amazon) and then put it into fertility friend app. I just used the free part of the app which worked well.
