Currently TTC number 2 and struggling after getting pregnant fairly easily with number 1 (on cycle 3)!
Thought I'd start a thread so we can all support each other. Anyone else on their TTC journey for number 2? I am currently on cycle 7 and have ruled myself out already as negative pregnancy test at 10DPO. Each month I convince myself that I am pregnant! Experienced a chemical at cycle 3 😩

@NattyPeer yes privately. We had part one done a few weeks back (bloods, semen analysis) and now waiting for part two (ultrasound, consultation) at the end of next week. At this point I’m so sick of trying I just want to get on treatment…

@LemonBitter you said your peaks are quite quick right? So I guess it’s not unusual for you to have nothing at this point and then a sudden surge tomorrow hopefully

I will start testing twice a day in the next couple of days, at the moment just once as I can tell from cervical position/fluid that I’m not that fertile yet.

Aw ok so not long til fertile window @NattyPeer .. I don't do BBT so not 100% sure but apart from last months freaky cycle I usually peak CD14. How about you?

I’m at CD14 today which means I’m probably just coming into the fertile window as I tend to Ov around days 18-20.

@LemonBitter really hope you get that peak soon!

@LemonBitter i started bleeding last week and have stopped now so according to my app I’m cycle day 6 now! When do you usually ovulate?!

Hey @Mummio92 sorry totally thought I replied to this!! I think you're right, I must have missed the peak. Nothing yet today and I'm on CD13 so really hoping for something tomorrow. DTD tonight just in case.

Glad you had a good holiday!! It's nice to have a break from thinking about this isn't it. Where in your cycle are you now?

I’m good thanks, had a great holiday and feeling a bit more refreshed for the ttc journey having not thought about it as much over the past couple of weeks.

From what I understand, it’s much less likely to not ovulate than to just get the timing wrong. If you didn’t ovulate then you’d possibly have a bleed but it’d typically be lighter than shorter than a regular period.

Either way I guess all you can do now is look ahead & hopefully things will get back on track this month. If not, then I’d say temping is probably worth a go

Usually it's CD14 on the dot that I get a peak. I'm on CD 9 today and started testing 2 days ago so let's hope I can catch it this cycle 😬

@NattyPeer really sorry to read your news, so hard to have the excitement build only to be disappointed. Hope you are doing ok.

@LemonBitter seems like maybe you actually ovulated earlier than when you started testing with OPKs then? As the luteal phase tends to stay the same length every cycle (only follicular phase is affected by stress and illness typically). What CD do you start testing? I usually go from about 11 and ovulate around 18/19.

CD6 for me today though and I’ve lost count of whether this is cycle 7 or 8 now.

@NattyPeer @LemonBitter i know :( it’s just so hard to stay positive. We have actually started the fertility testing process to see if everything’s fine… tbh I don’t know if this is adding more stress.

doesn’t help either that our toddler is very into babies… and asks to peer at all the babies who come to pick their siblings at nursery…

@Pandamonium04 and @LemonBitter when you are going through each cycle, 8 cycles certainly does feel long doesn’t it! We have to try to be positive and think we have another chance fairly soon 🤗

On day two of cycle 8 now… AF arrived yesterday but I knew it was happening as my resting heart rate has been falling/didn’t increase after ovulation.

I know 8 cycles isn’t long, but it feels like forever and really feels like it’s never going to happen for us. So all in all feeling cranky and negative.

I did test yesterday and was still positive but I have spotting today. I am feeling ok now though and will be on to another month before we know it! So will be joining you again albeit with my cycle will out of whack!
