Ladies… am I going mad? Still no AF today (was due yesterday). Did another test and I swear there’s a faint line? Maybe not, Eugh I don’t know.

@LemonBitter I haven’t really been consistently taking any vitamins and last time I took them for ages and then stopped and got pregnant once I’d stopped so don’t know how much difference it really makes.

Thanks @HRHXO and @Mummio92 - I ran out at lunch and got the CB digital in weeks and it confirmed 1-2 weeks. Early days but tentatively excited 😊

CD 16 last cycle, I should have carried on! Just want AF to show up now so I can get cracking again. Was thinking of starting to take pregnacare supplements or similar, do you take any?

@LemonBitter what CD did you do your last OPK this time round?

Yes me too, makes the days really drag and hard not knowing how many months of this might be ahead

@Mummio92 very strange!! Honestly no idea, I think just keep taking OPKs a bit longer than I did the last few cycles... wish I knew why everything is suddenly all over the place, I was so regular before last cycle.

Oooh ok fingers crossed. I hate waiting and wishing time away!

@LemonBitter sorry that’s rubbish. What do you think you’re going to do going forward for next cycle? Seems quite common for cycles to go a bit haywire after first baby.

Thank you, well I usually don’t test and just wait for temp to drop but I guess this time I’ll see what’s happening on Friday which is when I’d expect af or at least the obvious cramping to start.

Yeah that must be it @Mummio92 ... I don't think my period has ever been late but just did another test and it's stark white, not even a faint line so can't be pregnant. Very strange.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you this cycle ☺️ when are you going to test?

@LemonBitter how annoying. I can only think in that case that you’re just not ovulating when the app is predicting/ when you think you are. If you kept BDing beyond predicted fertile window then you may not necessarily be ‘out’ yet. But it is rubbish not knowing what’s going on.

Ha I am partial to magical thinking like that ‘maybe losing my thermometer means I’m pregnant’ lol but I’ll try and keep my feet on the ground as nothing is suggesting that’s the case so far (8dpo)

@Sevillegarden Definitely see that line! If your cycles vary then you’re probably just less dpo than you think and it’ll get darker over the next few days 🤞🏼

@HRHXO Yeah 8dpo here with no symptoms whatsoever but don’t think I had any last time until the day I got a bfp. Also last time, I gave up on taking vitamins the month I then got pregnant so I wouldn’t worry about that!

@hopefullyTTC2x congratulations! Don't worry about faint lines it's still early!

@Sevillegarden oooh I see the line and a false positive is so rare so I'd be tentatively saying you're pregnant!

@Mummio92 7dpo now and still no reply symptoms, but I didn't with my first either so not too concerned. We managed to DTD around ovulation so I'm hopeful but also I kept forgetting to take my prenatals/conception multivits this month so don't know if that will have effected things...

I'm sorry to hear that @LemonBitter it's truly rotten going through this journey, made even worse when your period doesn't show up when you're expecting it to.

I too dropped off the thread for a bit - I was feeling briefly hopeful but tested with the easy at home tests on 9, 10 and 11 dpo and all stark white and I was feeling a bit meh. I went away this weekend and couldn't test, tried this morning with a Boots early detection test and I have the faintest of pink lines. I do really feel exactly like I do before period arrives though so not getting ahead of myself.

Cycles much longer than they were pre-baby number 1 and vary from 32-34 days long, I'm currently on CD 36 so between 2-4 days "late".

So period due today and nothing, nada. Took a CB digital (all I had at home) and it's negative.

@Mummio92 yeah it's not early and also not a sign of anything red / pink / similar in the last 5 days. I usually spot a bit the day before AF but don't want to get my hopes up too much as everything could just be a bit behind 🤷🏼‍♀️

You're right I could have ovulated later so AF might not even be "due" yet.

Oh no on the thermometer!! Can you get it back or are you going to get another one.. OR maybe a sign this is your cycle?! 😬

@hopefullyTTC2x ah lovely to hear, how exciting! I would try not to worry too much about lines being faint before af is due as that’s the be expected by testing early, not enough hormones in the system yet, just check in a few days that there’s progression.

@HRHXO always disappointing when af comes. I’m 7dpo with af due at 12 (Friday), not feeling particularly hopeful!

@LemonBitter so af didn’t come earlier this month like last time? That’s good and also means that you could be less dpo than you think with regards to the test

I’ve gone and left my BBT thermometer at an Airbnb we were at for the weekend and so I feel like I’ve lost my right arm 😂

Sorry to hear you had a negative but you're not out until AF arrives as they say. I did 2 of the Superdrug early detection tests this afternoon and they were faint but there and had a result on clear blue weeks indicator so told my husband tonight. He cried he was so happy 🥲 it does worry me the lines are so faint but I'm just keep checking with the cheapies and hoping for the best. Baby dust to you all xx

Hi ladies, sorry I dropped off for a bit. AF arrived right on time and then I was feeling a bit grumpy about it so had nothing to contribute to the conversation at the time. I'm 6dpo now and been catching up on your posts, so happy for the bfps here and hoping to see lots more! How's everyone feeling? Anyone else about 6dpo?

Argh it's such an anxious time isn't it, you wait for the BFP then it comes and there's more to worry about. How are you doing today? Have you spoken to your husband?

AF is due for me tomorrow.. did a CB early detection yesterday and stark white so pretty sure I'm out but not testing today as there's still a bit of hope until I see blood I guess 🥴

@beansread Hi & welcome!

Ovulation typically happens about 24hrs after a peak OPK (peak being the darkest reading you get before it starts to go lighter again) but can be up to 48hrs after.
OPKs are more reliable predictors than the apps which are just making guesses based on averages. Once you track for a while they will get better at making those guesses but I find it most helpful to just do an OPK everyday from a few days after period ends until they become positive.
Most fertile days are the few days directly before ovulation so ideally you want to start BD from about 5 days before you think you will ovulate until about 2 days after peak OPK.

@hopefullyTTC2x I’ve always used the easy at home OPKs and test strips, never had a problem with false positives so I’d say that looks good!
Also read in the past about OPKs being positive when pregnant as they pick up on hormones that have a very similar chemical composition that the two strips can’t always differentiate.

We also used it as we would normal lube. I think I won't be able to help myself from testing tomorrow. Going to try and nip out to get a how many weeks test to use later in the week when the line hopefully gets darker. I feel bad not telling my husband yet but I'm just so worried it won't be right. So I think I'll try to test daily with the cheapies to check line progression and use the boots early detection one when AF is due in 3 days and the line is hopefully darker by then. My stomach cramps and backache are just so bad today, I'm trying not to think about it but know I'm so scared this will be a chemical 😢

It's a lubricant that you put inside with an applicator (kind of like a pessary) just before you DTD. I didn't know that some lubes can hinder sperm getting to where it needs to be so thought I'd try it and use this instead. Worth a shot I think if you are willing to try anything in case it helps
