Currently TTC number 2 and struggling after getting pregnant fairly easily with number 1 (on cycle 3)!
Thought I'd start a thread so we can all support each other. Anyone else on their TTC journey for number 2? I am currently on cycle 7 and have ruled myself out already as negative pregnancy test at 10DPO. Each month I convince myself that I am pregnant! Experienced a chemical at cycle 3 😩

@Pandamonium04 that makes sense. Id just never thought about it. In about 4dpo so maybe I should wear it again 😂😅

Pandamonium04 · 17/07/2024 18:12

@LemonBitter thank you 😔 it’s just so hard to keep being hopeful! My husband is optimistic though so thank god for him.

@Fairy0708 hugs. I was actually one and done as I had a really traumatic birth and then struggled so much in the first few months postpartum. It was only when my daughter turned two that I thought I’d like another. I am an advocate for a bigger age gap!

@SkaterChick i think that resting heart rate does increase in early pregnancy as there’s increased blood circulation. It was also the first indication for me that I was pregnant in my first pregnancy. But now that I’ve gone back and looked back… it was definitely an upward trajectory but if I had obsessed about it on the day to day I would’ve gone mad. Sorry for the ramble!

@NattyPeer @LemonBitter yes in the tww but to be honest don’t know whereabouts 😂 my period is due (according to Flo) next Wednesday I think? But I had a strange cycle thanks to the horrible cold. I’m now on antibiotics so I think this cycle is a foregone conclusion 😮‍💨 I should also add that I am an avid watcher of the resting heart rate chart on my Garmin and it’s steadily trending down.

Edited

I've been really lazy with wearing my smart watch that tracks my HR....are there signs for HR for pregnancy?

Fairy0708 · 17/07/2024 17:22

@LemonBitter hey! I never expected it to be quick but not still trying 11 months on but that's life! He's 3 😊 I'm trying to look at all the pros of a larger age gap tho I never ever wanted two under 2..not even under 3 on fact.

How many cycles are you on?

LemonBitter · 17/07/2024 16:16

You never know @Pandamonium04 , I'll keep my fingers crossed just in case, but if not I hope AF arrives on time so you can get cracking again when you feel better.

Hey @Fairy0708 ☺️ I think a few of us are in similar boats with #1 happening quickly.. I don't know why I thought it would happen like that again 6 years older and a stone heavier but it's definitely taking more time!! How old is your little one?

Fairy0708 · 17/07/2024 15:21

Hi ladies

On cycle 11 😞 AF due in a few days...

I was very lucky to have concieved number 1 on cycle 1.

Had a load of tests, ultrasound, hycosy, AMH, hubby analysis all good. I was prescribed clomid but too scared to take it as I've had confirmed ovulation.

I'm recently 35 but know so many friends and family who have had babies 35-40. You hear of all the stories of people taking 12-24m with number 1 and then quickly with number 2 so hoping for us ladies it's the other way round (obviously the sooner the better but ultimately want another baby!).

My hubby is so chilled and just says why would be have a problem when we've had a child🫣😞

@SkaterChick welcome! How many cycles have you been ttc?

@beansread haha maybe a littleeee too early! It’s so hard not to though. Good luck for this cycle

Thanks, this actually helped a lot.

A got an abundance of creamy discharge today, nipples still sore but I'm also fully aware that it could be due to the progesterone rising.

I'm going to delete my flo app though because it keeps showing me what would be happening if I was pregnant which is unhelpful 🙃

NattyPeer · 17/07/2024 12:49

@Pandamonium04 so glad someone is here with me! We have to try to stay positive 🤗 are you in the TWW?

LemonBitter · 17/07/2024 09:56

@Mummio92 that's exciting!!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Thanks @hopefullyTTC2x 😊 part of the problem is I'm not 100% sure when I ovulated so I'm hoping I ovulated a bit late so could be 12DPO? Your lines are giving me hope!! AF was due Monday according to the apps.

@HRHXO the waiting is a killer isn't it.. I guess keep testing and watch those lines get darker 😃

@Pandamonium04 where are you in your cycle?

It's so nice to have people to bounce stuff off- my husband does NOT engage with squinting for lines and is much more "what will be will be"

Pandamonium04 · 17/07/2024 09:48

Congrats everyone! @NattyPeer im still here with you in the waiting game. Hanging by a thread but am encouraged by the BFPs!

HRHXO · 17/07/2024 08:57

@Mummio92 looking good, congratulations!

So excited for everyone! I feel a bit anxious having a BFP this early but hoping it sticks around, AF not due until Monday! I don't know what to do with myself lol

hopefullyTTC2x · 17/07/2024 08:02

This is what I mean, only really getting noticeable yesterday x

Morning everyone 😊 how’s it going?

Not looking great my end really, I can see something but no darker than yesterday so thinking chemical maybe?

Can’t do much about it I guess so will have to see what happens!

I can still see a line. I know it's so difficult and you don't want to get your hopes up, maybe give it a couple of days before doing another test to see if there's more noticeable progression? Where do you think you are, how many DPO? I have only just stared getting darker lines at 14 DPO yesterday and only with FMU but it's different for everyone. Some don't even get a positive until days after AF due.

Congrats to all the others who are getting positives, sending lots more baby dust to all xx

Mummio92 · 17/07/2024 07:48

10dpo today and a darker line for me too eee!

@HRHXO that’s definitely a positive! Congratulations!

@LemonBitter I guess you can only keep testing over the next few days and see, it’s entirely possible that you’re actually a few days before af is due still but I understand not wanting to get hopes up

HRHXO · 17/07/2024 06:52

@LemonBitter it's still there, I wouldn't say chemical just yet, just keep testing to see. Fingers crossed for you and sending baby dust!

LemonBitter · 17/07/2024 06:51

Oooooh @HRHXO that's such a good line for 9DPO!!! So exciting, keeping fingers crossed 😃

Morning ladies, up bright and early with my almost 2 year old and decided to test again now 9dpo. Can't quite believe it as its so early and I refuse to update any of my apps or call the GP yet, will keep testing until AF is due. Anyone else tested again this morning, I'm eager to see everyone's results 🤞

LemonBitter · 16/07/2024 22:46

@HRHXO I can see something in the most recent one for sure!! As @Mummio92 says there will be a lot of POAS tomorrow 😂

@beansread it's pretty early I think implantation is from 6DPO? But tbh I have no idea wtf is going on with me so I'm not in the best position to give advice 😂 good luck!

@SkaterChick that sounds so stressful - I'm glad it hasn't done any long term damage. Hope the TWW goes quick for you, it's so horrible not having any control and just that bit!!

SkaterChick · 16/07/2024 21:03

Pre surgery but post baby was when they were bang on 28days.
Pre baby they were alllll over the show after years on multiple coils!
But post surgery (and post breastfeeding) they're really short but I ovulate late... I got my lh peak CD15 this time round. We were only able to dtd on CD14.
So fingers crossed that was enough but hopefully from next month we can dtd more often. We unfortunately had family visiting and it just couldn't happen 😂

Mummio92 · 16/07/2024 20:53

@SkaterChick wow sorry to hear you’ve been through the mill with your coil, glad it hasn’t done any permanent damage. A couple of us here have found that cycles seem to go a bit haywire after a baby. Mine used to be bang on 28 too with 14 days each side and now they’re around 31 with only a 12 day luteal phase. I’ve read a bit online and there’s nothing to suggest it affects fertility, Just a matter of time. Good luck!

SkaterChick · 16/07/2024 20:37

@Mummio92 so, this is the first month we've started properly TTC.
But I had a coil fitted when my little was 4 months old. Thought everything was fine. I was getting light periods and I've never had them on coil in the past but figured everything was different post baby, hormones, breastfeeding etc.
Anyways when he was 2 I wanted it out. Took me 3 months to get seen, they couldn't find it. 3m later I finally got an x-ray and it was there but not in place. Had surgery to remove it, it has perforated my womb and was adhered to my bowels but thankfully no perm damage likely happened on insertion so I was never covered by it. So was either breastfeeding or lack of sex that stopped me getting pregnant 😂😂😂 had to wait for 2 normal cycles before ttc. They've both been short with AF arriving few days early.
Pre surgery my cycles were bang on 28days like clockwork.

Mummio92 · 16/07/2024 20:31

@HRHXO ooh I can definitely see it in that latest pic! And that’s exactly what mine looked like when I was pregnant with baby #1 and tested at 9dpo so I reckon it’s probably a true line

HRHXO · 16/07/2024 20:27

@Mummio92 no worries, thanks for looking. My partner sees it too but isn't sure if there is colour. Oooh exciting, fingers crossed for us both I'll be testing tomorrow am but I'm nervous now!
