TTC #2

Currently TTC number 2 and struggling after getting pregnant fairly easily with number 1 (on cycle 3)!
Thought I'd start a thread so we can all support each other. Anyone else on their TTC journey for number 2? I am currently on cycle 7 and have ruled myself out already as negative pregnancy test at 10DPO. Each month I convince myself that I am pregnant! Experienced a chemical at cycle 3 😩

Sorry posted too soon! Currently 8dpo and have no symptoms, so definitely not hopeful this cycle.
Been a crap couple of months with two chemicals and loosing hope slowly, wondering if I may never get there d

Boymum1995 · 25/09/2024 10:40

Hi loves. Anyone else in the TWW

MyGardenDaisies · 24/09/2024 20:57

Starting this cycle’s ovulation digital testing tomorrow. Here we go again! ☺️ I’m trying to feel positive and excited

FirmOtter · 23/09/2024 17:47

We have a 5 year old already but been TTC no. 2 for around 18 months- just had all our tests done and waiting on results x

RoseA89 · 23/09/2024 17:42

@NattyPeer it's so hard. I'm now thinking if I got pregnant when we started trying, the baby would have been born by now. It's tough. It's good you've got some bloods booked though and it's positive that the ultrasound was clear. Fingers crossed it will happen soon 🤞🏼 let this be our month! 🍀

Boymum1995 · 23/09/2024 10:45

@MyGardenDaisies I had tested positive around 11-14dpo and then I had got my period a few days late and the the tests turned negative 😫😔

Which is happened twice now

MyGardenDaisies · 23/09/2024 10:41

@Boymum1995 sorry to hear that. How do you know you had a chemical? Through blood tests or early private ultrasound at 6/7 weeks?

I am on cycle day 6, but tend to ovulate day 17, so still have time till this month’s fertile window.
I’ve started a pre conception multivitamin Pregnacare do, but have read it makes some people’s cycles longer. Will see how it affects mine.

Boymum1995 · 23/09/2024 09:52

Hi ladies, checking back in to see how everyone is. Just had two back to back chemicals and currently in the TWW again! Feeling absolutely 0 symptoms and not hopeful.

Booked to have a private ultrasound the other week and everything looked ok. Also been referred to the recurrent miscarriage unit so waiting for an appointment for that.

loveyababesx · 23/09/2024 08:10

@NattyPeer it's still early! You still have time ❤️

I came on today 2 days early which I'm happy about as I can reset xx

MyGardenDaisies · 23/09/2024 08:04

@NattyPeer just a blood test

@NattyPeer I know exactly how you feel! DH and I have decided we will give it another month and then contact the GP. It's a scary thought, I never thought the road to #2 would look like this.

It’s hard isn’t it! I have already contacted the GP this month, have blood tests booked next month / early November as you need two blood tests. I already had an ultrasound in June as they wanted to rule out an ectopic but all was ok in there!!! I think yeah give it another month and then get the ball rolling.

What are you all doing as part of your TTC other than sex?

ovulation tracking/ supplements / lifestyle changes?

I have the CB digital ovulation kit, supplements, testing my thyroid levels, cutting down coffee and trying to do more things that bring me peace rather than stress.

How do you test your thyroid levels? I am doing the same as you but I need to do more exercise like yoga as I have fallen off doing this now. I am not overweight or anything but exercise is good for everyone isn’t it.

@NattyPeer sorry about your BFN. I hope you're ok, it's tough ❤️ Do you think you could still have a chance this month? I'm onto a new cycle now.

No I don’t 😩😩😩 just all very annoying!

@NattyPeer thank you for sharing!
Instarted a pre conception multivitamin today that contains vitamin E, and will read about the other ingredient

Ttcin2021 · 21/09/2024 20:20

I’m due to ovulate tomorrow or day after I think…. Trying to uk equivalent of the mucinex theory this month! We shall see!

I’m on cycle day 3 and am happy I’ve got either work or other plans for most of this cycle’s 2 week wait, so hopefully will be less obsessed with testing than last cycle.

My luteal phase is also not actually 14 days, but more like 11. Is anyone else like that? I am going to start trying to extend it with supplements and lifestyle choices, as I don’t want it to impact fertility.

Mine was like that and then I started taking L-Arginine and Vitamin E and that has seemed to have lengthened my luteal phase

@NattyPeer you've still got a while yet & I didn't get any symptoms at all with my first so you're definitely in with a chance!

@loveyababesx with my other pregnancies I was very fatigued and tender breasts but I know all pregnancies are different but I just know if that makes sense. I would be very surprised if I was pregnant to be honest!

@RoseA89 I'm 11 dpo today, so I don't have high hopes tbh & I've had really bad cramping which is definitely AF ramping up 🫠

Sending you all the posy vibes for the next cycle ❤️

I am 7dpo today and feel no different! Also my temperature isn’t as high as it has been previously so think I am out already!

@RoseA89 I have only been doing it since June and you are supposed to do it at the same time each morning before getting out of bed and before talking. It can confirm ovulation as your temperature should stay raised three days after ovulation. Apparently is can confirm pregnancy but your temperature would be raised for 18 days after ovulation! I don’t always do it at the same time each morning to be honest!
