Wheelybug · 13/04/2008 17:40

Hi All ! Have eaten and drunk FAR too much this weekend so am going to have to be extra good this week... sigh.. Well done everyone on the weight loss last week !

Thanks for sorting out the chart Rattling - yes you're right, I'm not 10lbs .

Lottie - I did the couch to 5k programme - there's a support thread in health for people doing it which is really supportive and helpful so come and join us ! There are podcasts which talk you through the programme too which really helps and means you don't have to clock watch. Its a fantastic programme - I wouldn't have got to 5k without it !

I'm on the sauce again tonight... cor, anyone would think I am an alcy. It's a night in for us tonight - we need to chill out. So I will probably finish the grenache from the fridge - but I can, cos I lost a lb and need to celebrate

Well done you too Lottie on your loss... and everyone else for that matter. So is it Moonlit with the gold star for biggest loss this week?

What's a vanilla vodka? Is it as obvious as it sounds?

Ok... got totally sloshed last night, went to bed with a headache and woke up with it... that'll learn me

I was out all day yesterday, burning off calories whilst walking around the shops

I did lose a lb this week... I thought I would have stalled with the naughtiness in the week - but this walking must be helping

Broodybabywannabe · 12/04/2008 14:09

Can i join too?

AM currently TTC, although periods messed up so am a bit

Hi all here's mine! 1/2lb - bit of a disappointment considering I was hoping for 7!!! seems a bit silly now...

Still it's 1/2 in the right direction. I am reverting to weightwatchers next week and doing the 'sensible' 1-2 lb a week approach!

Haven't lost anything this week but CD3 so really bloated, plus the cake didn't help

I have promised myself I'm going to be more carefu lnext week - need to lose some weight and get fitter, and need to do it before I get pregnant again.

Congratulations on all those pounds lost (And 1/2 pounds Shayera)

Lottie how are your knees after taking up running? I would love to be able to run but have bad knees (arthritis) and am always put off by people telling me it is bad for your knees. You've given me the impetus to try it but am worried about my knees.

LOL rattling at your alter ego!

1/2lb off this week - first time I've lost anything in a long time, so back on track. Just need to take it a bit more seriously next week

rattling · 11/04/2008 13:21

Lottie - Probably not - have cut down a bit on the cake in the evening, but had a couple of takeaways and a few small glasses of wine. Last week when I weighed myself I leapt of the scales in disgust as the dial headed for 13 stone - didn't want to know the exact figure, so may have only been 12-12 then.

Sussex would probably be considered sub-tropical for us Scots - always forget how much warmer it is in that part of the world, always overdress for our visits to Essex - I worry that my niece and nephew will know me as the sweaty aunt

Roseability - have you remembered to apply the -4lb AF correction?

Where's everyone else with the weigh-in results? We'll only assume you have something to hide anyway. At least on-line at the very worst you can lie . I'm thinking of creating a whole new persona on here - I'll drop a couple of stone, gain a couple of kids, go on exotic holidays and possibly surprise myself by doing very well in my first triathlon!

roseability · 11/04/2008 13:01

12st 8lbs. Only lost a pound but did pig out last weekend and drank too much wine. Also AF here

Lottie - are you retreating to somewhere warm? Love that idea. I'd need to take a friend, have certain hippy tendencies but always feel hyper-conservative amongst the yoga crowd. Perhaps should have gone for the council classes rather than the swanky ones

Don't think I've really lost anything - just an accurate measurement rather than a guess. Hope you don't mind me fiddling with the list - wheely I hope I corrected your weights correctly. If you are down to 10 pounds then I think you no longer need any help here . Lottie's stats were the only ones I could read properly - but need a calculator on hand to make any sense of them.

My exercise is mainly horseriding this week - a couple of friends are either on holiday or working too hard so I have their horse's to exercise. No effort is required to ride my own horse, but I am sore all over from the effort of controlling a tiny Arab who has seen very little of the world and I took to see lorries and buses and cars flying down the A1 yesterday (in a field alongside - perfectly safe). Most exciting , pity I don't have time to do the same tonight.

Lottie how long do you do the running for two mins/walking for two minutes thing for (eg how long a session) and how many weeks etc before youw build up?

We're going away to Devon this weekend so not expecting any weight loss next week!

fym · 11/04/2008 09:46

sorry for going missing everyone....

my week started off well and then went downhill rapidly

will post again later
