Must all try harder this week. And be encouraging and say 'do not eat that cake/clotted cream scone'.

God I hate exercise.

Wheely 10 st 4 lb; 10 st 4 lbs; 0 lb; 9 st 7 lb

Had initial appt at fertility clinic yesterday and was dreading them telling me I needed to lose loads more weight but she just said, it would be good to lose a little but not to worry too much. So, have changed my target to 9.5 stones because I think thats more likely than 9 stone !

ClairePO · 18/04/2008 07:37

My pound went straight back on not a good week two

A terrible food day in the house of wheely. Went to a friend's house for lunch and was forcefed pizza, garlic bread and brownies for lunch. Then my parnets have arrived so I cooked veg lasagne with garlic bread and wine (and cava pre-dinner).
Am doomed.

Official BMI weigh in tomorrow I suspect so that may snap me back into weight loss action. One can hope.

Ready · 16/04/2008 17:42

Thankfully I am away for a couple of days, so won't be able to weigh in. Phew. I have not been very good, despite my promise.

ClairePO · 16/04/2008 14:45

I've eaten two many cream teas whilst in the west country and also come home with some scones and clotted cream maybe I should go leave them in the mc avenger thread!

I reckon I will have put on 2-3lb by weigh in on Friday.

How does everyone else feel they've done this week?

and a small icingless cake ... must.... run..... more.....

Thanks for the good wishes - can't work out if I'm dreading it or relieved its finally here...

Ready · 15/04/2008 18:06

Good luck with your appt Thursday Wheely ... I reckon that all the extra exercise outweighs nicking a few chips.

Wheelybug · 15/04/2008 17:58

PS - may I whisper... I detest celeriac (and I'm not a fussy eater but its about the only thing i don't eat...). Am sure its a lovely recipe though

Wheelybug · 15/04/2008 17:57

Breakfast - porridge, raisins skimmed milk
After run snack () small bun type cake with raisins in, homemade and no icing so could be worse (clutches at straws)
Lunch - 2 poached eggs on 1 piece of toast (wholemeal no butter !)
Nicked from dd's tea - some chips
Dinner - will be pasta with chicken and tomato spicey sauce. NO garlic bread or wine.

My parents are coming up tomorrow evening for 3 nights because they are going to start overhauling our garden so that means I won't be able to resist WINE or nicer lunches... sigh...

At least, running is back on track (3.25 miles today) and I'll be doing lots of gardening (i.e. heavy ripping out and chucking in skip work) so might wear some of it off.

Have first appointment with Assisted Conception unit on Thursday so will be officially weighed... gulp....

Ready · 15/04/2008 17:44

Pmsl, I have seen a celeriac so I getcha! I reckon I will try it with carrot actually - have done the weekly shop already, I find if I stick to a plan then less gets wasted, we spend less, and crucially, eat less but next week might give it a whirl

Lottie, would you use any potato in that recipe? or all celeriac?.. I don't eat blue cheese, so that gratin wouldn't work for me... could I use another cheese do you think? Shamefully, I don't think I have ever had celeriac

B - Cereal and skimmed milk, rooibos tea
L - Toast, yoghurt and a banana
D - Eggs on toast I think

I too want to know how to make a celeriac rostii

LenniEd · 14/04/2008 20:27

Food today..

Breakfast... croissant
Lunch... salad and quiche
Dinner... vegetable enchilada

Dammit.. I've got to start being good.

Upside is my jeans feel looser today, thats the benefit of being on CD8 though...I'm not going to claim weightloss.

Had a look at the couch to 5k link ... thanks Lottie, going to start when I am feeling a bit healthier, joints playing up a bit at the moment. Usually only take a week or so to improve though.

How do you make celeriac/swede rosti? Is it good?

Lottie - don't worry about coming on the thread, everyone is really lovely and I wouldn't have a clue who had what children, it doesn't matter !

Today I had

Breakfast - porridge with raisins
Lunch - 2 poached eggs and 1 piece of wholemeal toast
Went to friends though who had bought choc chip cookies so had 1 of those (and it was big) then my neighbour popped round with some cakes so had 2 of those (would have been rude not to). So, all my good intentions gone to pot.
Dinner - will be thai salmon thing

Will be running tomorrow though.

Ready · 14/04/2008 18:29

I haven't been as good today as I hoped...

B - Cereal w/ skimmed milk, rooibos tea.
L - Croque Monsieur and half a donut (shared with dh so probably 60-40 in his favour)
Snack - Cup of rooibos and half a hot cross bun
D - Chilli with rice and salad

Have had plenty of water, but could not go for walk because of the persistent and torrential rain. Double the distance tomorrow. Promise.
