So, I'm CD 4 on cycle 5 TTC after MMC in Jan (which took over a year of TTC) 😞

I'll be testing at the beginning June

Anyone with me?!

🍀 🤞 🌈 ✨

Hey, can I join in on the wait! ☺️

I’m only 4 DPO so won’t be testing until around the 10th.

We’ve been TTC #1 for 18 months now, never had a BFP in that time, we also didn’t time DTD that well this month so I’ll probably be out. I don’t know why I feel so invested again this month though. I’d kind of zoned out of it the last 6 month after so many BFNs but this cycle feels different, I’m probably delusional though 😂

Hope you are doing okay and the two week wait isn't driving you as crazy as it is me! Don't assume you'll be out this month at all, I always see comments of woman who get pregnant in the months they didn't expect. It's good that you feel positive and I think that counts for something ❤️ sending you so much hope & have everything crossed you get your BFP soon! X

Currentlykittymom · 01/06/2024 14:44

@mountainlass thank you!! Thought I had missed it! Last month I only had 1 day flashing and 1 days solid so was shocked when it’s been 3 days lol

mountainlass · 01/06/2024 13:12

@Currentlykittymom yes that's normal! It detects estrogen as well as your lh surge so starts flashing when it detects your estrogen levels rising. I usually have 6/7 days of flashing smiley before getting my solid. It's so annoying and really tests my patience haha but I've never not had a peak so it should come :) wishing you all the luck for this cycle xx

Currentlykittymom · 01/06/2024 11:52

I’ve had flashing face on the clear blue OPK for 3 days… is that usually normal?

emmatcc1 · 31/05/2024 23:04

@MisssMarion I’m waiting for af as it’s just around the corner.

MisssMarion · 31/05/2024 22:07

@spamOFtheDAY haha my partner is out anyway. SMEP was too much he needs a break 😅 We ended up dtd every other day, I hope it's enough. But yes next week we'll take a well deserved break... Will you test at 10 dpo?

@CTak I'm sorry about the bfn, it can feel so disheartening. I understand how you're feeling. You could still get a bfn in a couple of days though, no? Fingers crossed! I'm ok for now, really hopeful but trying to convince myself I'll get a bfn to not get my hopes up... It's not been a fun journey so far.

@emmatcc1 Will you test again or wait for af?

@Cabbie16 I'm so sorry. I understand, we conceived dd the first month too and now we're onto month 6 😔 but we lost 4 months due to the MMC. It can be hard not to worry.

@Fandangodiggers Congrats! That sounds promising!

Just an update: had my scan and it showed nothing.

However, I had a HCG blood test and another one today, and my HCG has gone up 150% in 48 hours so I’m very pleased. Todays HCG result was 560, so they are scanning me again on Tuesday when hopefully we’ll see a sac :)

wow that’s great news, i’m pleased for you! keep us posted

CTak · 31/05/2024 18:38

I'm SO pleased for you. Those HCG numbers! Fingers and toe beans crossed that your GP is eating his hat come February 2025 😂

I know I can’t believe my HCG is good, I’ve NEVER had good news from HCG tests. Even with my son they only increased 58% in 48 hours and it was ‘borderline’ so I thought we would lose him - he stuck though!

AF due tomorrow and I tested today, BFN. So onto another cycle for us. Trying to keep positive as we are only going into third cycle but conceived my first baby on first cycle so it's hard not to compare. Good luck to everyone testing soon 🤞🏼

emmatcc1 · 31/05/2024 14:22

@CTak Af is also due on Sunday for me. I’m 12 dpo and last tested on 10dpo which was bfn.

It's so hard isn't it

Still not out though

🤞

Yup 😣 Fed up. Feel like we did everything right this month too. Prenatal vitamins for us both, SP10 test for DH, Ferti Lily cup, conceive plus, DTD every day of the fertile week, mega LH spike...

I ordered a Hertility kit to do at home and send off so hoping that will allude to any underlying problems on my end.

Wishing you all lots of luck x

@MisssMarion Bleh. 11 dpo and testing negative. Don't think it's our month. Had a teary meltdown on DH yesterday about it all. Due to start AF on Sunday so we'll see.

How are you?

Who's going to be testing first?
Think I will on Wednesday

I'm still only 4DPO but feel like and age!
Went to a party last night and tried to be good and limit the wines, which I did, but I feel SO horrendous today.
Obviously part of me is attributing it to pregnancy, not the wine!
And the other part is mad at myself for drinking and ruining my chances 🙄

How's everyone doing? How's the TWW going for you all? 😣

How are you? Have you set the DTD ban yet?

I wasn't aware of it but now I've just read the below article and I won't be dtd between 5-9 dpo...

www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4074557/

Thank you for sharing! I actually did BD once during this period then I had very very very light spotting when I wiped myself down there. It only happened once. Then I had a CP later on 18dpo. I shall not do that again.

emmatcc1 · 29/05/2024 13:07

I don’t but apparently it’s because our bodies naturally want to get rid of the sperm and that can cause mild inflammation potentially preventing a fertilized egg from implanting.

spamOFtheDAY · 29/05/2024 13:06

Been doing a bit of reading on having sex during the TWW.
There is some evidence to suggest avoiding it (5-9DPO)
(and I'm aware it is recommended to avoid when having IVF)
Anyone else avoid sex at this time?

I had my peak yesterday at CD12, i wasn't expecting it so 'early' as last month (first cycle after surgical management) I had it at CD17! It came late during the day yesterday so I'm glad I used OPK on top of the CB fertility monitor as the monitor only detected it this morning... We would have dtd last night anyway as we're doing the SMEP method this month, but I was happy to see the OPK peak beforehand...

I think Inofolic alpha helped keep my cycle shorter (although I don't have PCOS I saw it recommended when TTC). Anybody with similar experience?

I'm probably reading too much into it but I'm hopeful this month will be the month as both times I got pregnant were short cycles (peak at CD12/13) vs longer cycles (peak at CD 15/17) that didn't work out!

Fingers crossed it works as I'll be testing while on holiday so I'd rather get good news not to ruin the trip ☺️ and what a memory that would make! Now I'm getting my hopes up too much 😥
