CD 14! Entering the tww in a couple of days. Been feeling so much more laid back this cycle. Hoping this calm continues through the tww! Is anyone else at a similar point in their cycle?

Meee :) hope you’re okay! I’m CD13 now it turns out, no real signs of ovulation yet though. Trying not to overthink it all I’m away this weekend with the in-laws haha so not the best to be DTD haha

AF has officially arrived so I’m now on CD1 of month #2 TTC. I’m thinking of using LH strips throughout my cycle to check that I’m not getting multiple peaks (I did a hertility test before TTC and all came back fine except for AMH which was elevated, apparently could mean cysts on ovaries but I have no symptoms of PCOS). I’m also taking folic acid, vitamin D and omega 3. Last month we BD’d mainly around ovulation but thinking this month we will just go every other day. Any other recommendations at this stage? X

Creamy CM can be normal before your period too unfortunately but if it's different to what you normally get then that could be a sign?

Unfortunately I'm not that diligent at tracking my cm except for fertile window so I'm not really sure if this is normal for me. But thanks for your comment! I'll just have to keep waiting...

priscillamon · 13/06/2024 19:36

Hi, everyone, new girl here :) My husband and I have been TTC #1 since last June, and AF came four days ago, marking a full year without any luck. My husband's tests came back normal, and I just did a blood test yesterday to hopefully get answers about why it hasn't happened yet and what to do next. I'm trying to stay relaxed about it all and so don't want to get overly involved with tracking everything, but I do want to find people in a similar place since all my friends seem to be falling pregnant quickly and don't really get what it's like to try for more than a few cycles.

Quick update from me

CD 26, 9 DPO and a BFN this morning, cannot help but feel low. AF is supposed to arrive on Monday, and kinda expecting it too.

In preparation for cycle 3 TTC I have a question:

Is anyone's partner taking vitamins to help conceive? If yes, which ones please?

My DH is taking Proceive. I got 3 months worth at Holland&Barrett at 3 for 2, and a discount code to make them a bit more affordable. They have good reviews and a nutritionist recommended them on a podcast.

He has been taking them for 6 weeks. no positive pregnancy tests yet, but we suspect he has a low sperm count due to a procedure he had as a child. Waiting for sperm analysis on NHS, but just getting on with it in the meantime and apparently Proceive improves sperm count.

Also, I'm about dpo11, AF due this weekend and I have quite a bit of creamy CM. Anyone knows if this could be a symptom?

@rlar ah that's great to hear.

My husband told me to not test anymore until at least Tuesday, if AF hasn't arrived by then. Gonna try and stick to it 🙈 thank you for sharing

I've been very strict with only testing after AF was late for a few cycles and I think it's better for mental health. Everybody is different of course but this is my experience if it helps. Mine is due any day this weekend and I'm planning on testing Monday. I really hope this month is the one 🙏❤️🌞👶

I was testing stark negative at 9, 10 and I think 11 DPO (not a whiff of a line) for my last pregnancy. Gave up testing before my period after that and then a strong positive when I was 3 days late. So still hope!

There is always LH in your body unless your urine is diluted?

I think I’m drinking too much water (I do drink loads usually)! I’ve thrown out the OPKs I was doing too and ordered a better brand… I thought the same about the LH I wasn’t 100% though so thank you. Sounds like the readings are wrong 😂

LucyCL · 13/06/2024 15:32

MaryMax · 13/06/2024 12:19

CD12 here and still no sign of ovulation, I’ve been doing OPK tests morning and afternoon and they’re completely white. Not even a little bit of LH 😔 just going to keep testing but really hoping I do ovulate this month.

@LucyCL thanks again for all your help! I saw that you're turning 35 in November - me too. I'm also TTC #1. This is my first cycle, though, so I don't know much about what my body is doing, and I do have PCOS. I don't feel super optimistic about my chances tbh, but I can only try! Sorry to hear it's not been straightforward for you, but you're not alone x

To be honest, I was really ignorant when I got my first BFP this Jan and I thought that was it. So, I was very naive. I could have protected the first pregnancy if I didn't run really fast until I was out of breath for 6 mins (MC happened at the same night). I should not look back and blame myself because it is not healthy. Then I had my 2nd BFP, I was so naive once again. I thought that was it but I wasn't aware of the existence of CP. Now I should not look back either and feel bad about it. Of course, I was lost and felt like being trapped in limbo during the first month after each MC. But I have decided to be cautiously hopeful and never look back. This is where I am now.
I am aware of PCOS and I know there are supplements which can help to balance the hormones and regulate the ovulation.
When I was diagnosed with PCOS after my 1st MC at the beginning of March, I started to take CoQ10, N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) , vitamin D, vitamin D, vitamin E, Magnesium, Zinc and Myo-Inositol Chromium & Folate Blend. Then I did the transvaginal ultrasound at the end of the same month and was told that my right ovary contained eight follicles so I didn't have PCOS.
If you have any question of tracking your ovulation, please let me know. Because of MCs, my hormone levels and ovulation were affected so I have bought a lot of technologies to figure out what my body is doing. 😅

Ahhhh 7dpo and struggling waiting!!! I want to test so bad but not had any symptoms at all! I now that can happen but keep watching for any small change!

I’m also 7dpo, and fortunately I’m away from home until Sunday now so makes it easier to wait! I’ve also been symptom spotting, but as I’m so recently off hormonal contraception, I don’t even have baseline of what to expect!

I don't know what's going on had a spike this morning does this mean I'm about to ovulate? Bleeding stopped as quick as it started last night

Just saw this after I posted a response to your previous post. Take a pregnancy test just to make sure your test isn't picking up HCG. I actually had what I thought was a period and then positive ovulation the day after my period and it turned out I was pregnant and had had a bleed and not a period.

pepperminticecream · 13/06/2024 00:28

BlueberryPoppy123 · 11/06/2024 22:00

I'm so confused just gone to the loo and I'm bleeding again... Cd6 stopped bleeding CD 3 just spotting for CD 4 barely anything and then like a whole fresh AF now do I go back to CD1?

hmmm. I would think that its just AF continuing. I would see how long the bleeding last for and as soon as its over I would start testing for ovulation and that should give you an idea of where you are in your cycle by how quickly you ovulate.

I will say that I have never had an irregular cycle but as soon as we started trying a few months ago, everything went haywire.

I did a test today at 8DPO and I could see a shadow there straight away and it’s dried as a line. I’m so so scared it’s a evap and I will be crushed.

It sounds very promising! Keep us posted! x

I've looked into this a lot and basically no - it's really unreliable. Your cervix will rise up if you're pregnant but it might not happen before your missed period. I think CM is even less reliable because you can have lots before your period and you also should get a fair bit if you're pregnant (although I didn't!). I guess the only thing is if you monitor it regularly on yourself, you might one month notice that it feels different and then that could be a clue that you're pregnant.

That is well said. I feel my cervix position just to get an idea about how low/high/average it can be. I had lots of watery CM before AF last cycle then AF arrived. OPKs, BBT, RHR and wrist temperature are more precise.

Hi, does anyone know whether you can use your cm or cervix position to predict if pregnant before the missed period?
