@ButItHasCheese huge congrats on your BFP amazing news 👏 what dpo are you? How are you feeling? Xx

ButItHasCheese · 19/06/2024 22:37

I just got a BFP after thinking I was out... in absolute shock

ninaballerina12 · 19/06/2024 21:40

@SLLR @Moomoo20 how are you both getting on? I’ve managed to resist testing at 10DPO. My resting heart rate on my Apple Watch was really low today which makes me feel that I’m out. For both my DS1 and MC, my heart rate was kept going up during the TWW which was interesting!

@Marinaautumn i also did a Hertility test and was prolactin was high but on my nhs tests my prolactin was in range. Did you find this too? X

I’ve read on some forums on Flo that the prolactin tests for Hertility are incredibly sensitive.
I also did the tests and prolactin came back fine but my AMH was out of range according to them (levels were 57.93) and there out of range was from 35 and up . I contacted a doctor via NHS app and they said that the range for 25-30 year olds is actually 3.74-61.88 which I found interesting!
going to keep TTC for a few months and then see if I should go look at scans - high AMH is linked to PCOS but I have no other symptoms of it and all other tests were in range so not sure what to make of it

CD 14 and still no sign of ovulation. Premom estimates I am in my fertility window with estimated ovulation on Saturday. When would that show up on an lh strip? I feel like this cycle has lasted forever even though I'm only on cd14. I just want to ovulate 😫

Feeling down not sure if it's just hormones. Just feel like nothing's happening

Oh we are in the same boat! Can’t offer any advice I’m afford as trying to figure it all out myself but at least we’re not alone ☺️

I’m on CD 19 and my LH tests are only just picking up (0.45 on Premom) and I’ve had flashy smiley all week on clear blue. I was the same as you Premom said I’d ovulate CD14 and natural cycles is predicting tomorrow…

all very confusing! I’ve only been off the pill for 2 cycles but I came off a few years ago for a while just for a break and I was super regulate 30 day cycles. So I’m worried I’m ovulating too late 🥲

@priscillamon i have found it quite tricky but at this point I will try anything 😂. It’s the getting it out which I’ve found the worst part, I thought I was going to have to go to A&E at one point, it took me a while to get out.

as I missed my peak this month I’ll give it another go next month if AF arrives!

Hello ladies, those who are pregnant/been pregnant before, did you experience Implantation bleeding? My first pregnancy I had implantation bleeding around about 9/10 DPO, just a few little pinkish spots and I knew as soon as I seen it that I was pregnant. Im roughly 10dpo now and haven't experienced any which makes me think I'm out this month but I'm just curious as to how many people actually experience and Implantation bleeding 🕵️.

I've been pregnant 3 times and never had implantation bleeding with any of those x

Was hoping I wouldn't find myself on this board but unfortunately here I am. After my MMC and surgery in February I'm convinced there's something not right as I conceived so quickly with my successful pregnancy and the MC. Since the surgery I've had really bad cramps a week before my period arrives but I don't think the GP would do anything at this point would they?

@LindyMoe you haven't failed your DS please don't worry about that but I do understand your feelings. I hoped for a 3ish year age gap which I was going to have until I had the MC but now I'll be lucky if it's 4 years. It's so stressful isn't it, I find myself in tears a lot of the time but I don't think anyone would understand so I just keep it to myself.

Omg this is exactly like me. I had to have surgery as his heart stopped at 15 weeks and 14 months on I get horrendous stomach ache and cramps from 7 soo until af. Had a scan last weeks a they said all is fine, in for bloody on Friday as that's when I'm due on so hopefully I'll get some answers. Have you spoke to your go hunni?xx

priscillamon · 19/06/2024 15:12

@Marshmallow99 Sorry it's taking so long for you too :( wishing you all the best for this next cycle and with your testing—hopefully you get some answers and your BFP!

Also, how do you find the fertility cup to use? I'm interested in trying it but am worried it will be a bit of a pain.

@SLLR I can totally relate. My husband and I just moved to the UK and had no idea how to approach a doctor about testing since we are still getting situated in the NHS. We decided to start with at-home testing instead for that reason and to hopefully bypass some of the long wait times there, but I bet we will have to go the NHS route eventually if we're still ttc after a few months. From what I've read, the NHS will start testing after 6 months ttc if you're 36 or older, so they probably would start those for you :)

The test my husband did isn't available anymore, but it was very inexpensive and tested sperm motility and count, and I've seen other similar tests available that are supposed to be pretty accurate. I just did a Hertility test, and so far I would recommend it, but since I don't have my results back yet that should be taken with a grain of salt. And I do have three discount codes if anyone wants one.

Good luck approaching your doctor—sorry I can't give you any advice in that regard!

Keeping my fingers crossed for all of us next cycle!

Hello sorry to hear about your ttc struggles. Just wondering how you went about getting the tests via nhs? I'm 36 and partner is 39, am I right in saying you have to have been ttc for a year before the nhs will carry out tests/bloodwork?

Yes, like @Marshmallow99 said, if you're over 35 it's 6 months+. I am under 35, and after like 2 months ttc I did the Hertility blod test (online, private) and since the prolactin came out high, I told my gp and they agreed to retest. After a few more months (6 of 7, i can't remember) I wanted to do the "day 21" tests and even though we hadn't been ttc over 1 year yet, they agreed to keep testing since I had ready kickstarted it with the prolactin etc. It all came out fine so now they've referred me to scans. I hope this helps.

Marshmallow99 · 19/06/2024 07:41

@Moomoo20 thank you, it’s tough going through the rollercoaster of emotions each month. So if you are under 35 it’s a year but if you are over 35 you are able to get testing after 6 months of ttc.

@Marinaautumn i have had the pelvic and transvaginal scan which came back fine, I think the next step is Hycosy which will be done at the fertility clinic I am being referred to. I had to have a smear and swab test too as they said they need that before accepting my referral, it’s a long process isn’t it, just hoping everything works out. 🫶🏽✨

Lou0811 · 18/06/2024 23:28

Can I join in?

i’m 35 yo

I have a 12.5 DD and a 7 DS

TTC as of 16/06….

AF is due tomorrow - my cycles have been messed up since coming off depo last May.

1st AF after coming off depo was October 23, then 97 day cycle, then a 33 day, then 55 day, then 36 days (only 2 days of a very faint AF) and now I’m due any time from tomorrow, according to the app!

Marshmallow99 · 18/06/2024 20:24

@priscillamon i am in a similar situation, we have been ttc for over a year now. All of my friends have conceived very quickly.

we have started fertility testing on the NHS and so far all seems fine, we are being referred to a fertility clinic for more testing and then will see what our options are.

i’m 33 and my partner is 36, we are trying for our first.

fingers crossed we get our BFPs soon 🫶🏽

this month I started using the fertilily cup but I was away for my peak ovulation so not holding much hope for this month. We dtd days leading up to it so praying some spermies hung in there until my peak day 😅

@Marie1990x I have also been trying to stay off and forget about the ttc life but I am here 😂

Hi, similar situation too! I'm 33and so is my partner and we've been ttc for 8 cycles now. I've done all the blood tests which came fine, and he's about to do sperm test. I have a pelvic ultrasound next Tuesday. Did you do Hycosy test? I really want to do it since I heard that some people get pregnant soon after hycosy test because it unblocks the tubes through testing. Happened to my friend recently so I really want to get it too. Although I don't want to get even more frustrated if it doesn't happen after that! I'm trying Maca root, I'll report on how it goes @MaryMax i was taking it the whole cycle through but might stop after ovulation next cycle.

MaryMax · 18/06/2024 21:36

Marinaautumn · 17/06/2024 20:38

Thanks for asking, I am still in the TWW, AF was due this weekend and it's still not here but tested BFN so far. It's technically my day 28 and my cycles are 26 on average but have been even 29 once recently. I have not really any other symptoms, nor pregnancy symptoms nor period symptoms. This is my first cycle taking Maca root so who knows if it's just messed up the cycle... Sigh! I'll probably wait a couple of days before re-testing, I don't want to see another BFN.

Fingers crossed for you. It’s so disappointing seeing a BFN but you never know until AF arrives I guess… ☺️ let me know if you think the Maca root helps!

Irish812 · 18/06/2024 20:28

@Marinaautumn glad to hear maca didn't mess up your cycle as I've started that this month. Currently cd8, ovulation due next week and will stop taking it after O day.

Sorry to see AF has arrived for a few people 😣 hope you’re all ok and hoping for a BFP for you all next cycle!

I’ve been trying to avoid forums to not obsess so haven’t caught up people.
But here I am already obsessing 😂. I’m only CD8 and had a strong opk just now 🤔. Not positive but getting there. I’m not sure if it’s these supplements I’m taking. So bizarre and will keep testing

pepperminticecream · 18/06/2024 18:58

SLLR · 16/06/2024 18:31

So I'm currently 7 DPO (used opks to track ovulation) and this is cycle 6 for us, been trying to since January 😒. I'm feeling no symptoms really. I'm trying so hard not to have a negative mindset, but it's hard because I've been so used to seeing negative tests the last 6 month's.
I thought I had run out of pregnancy tests, so I thought oh good, I'll just wait for AF instead of wasting tests. But I found 3 cheapies in the back of my wardrobe 🤣 now I'm just trying to hold off as long as possible to test. Anyone else around 7dpo?

I am around the same time as you, I am either 7DO or 8DPO depending on when I exactly ovulated, I will be conservative and stick with 7DPO mentally to keep from testing early. I am actually telling myself that I won't test unless my period is a few days late, I don't want the mental up and downs of getting a BFN and then convincing myself its because I tested too early.

How are you feeling? I had a few cramps/twinges last night and breast tenderness but I have had that before on this journey so not reading too much into it.

ClassicQuill · 18/06/2024 17:14

I am quite confused today.

I'm 34, and TTC #1. This is my first cycle.

I've been temping and taking an OPK test every day since I got the bits of kit I needed (from CD21-ish). I know that's quite late to start logging, but I didn't know about any of this before we started TTC this month. I figured I could just start logging the data so I get some practice and history, in order to get a better understanding of what's happening with my body for future months.

I have PCOS, and my last 5 cycles or so have been 33-37 days long.

The apps all predicted I would ovulate between CD21 and CD24. I'm CD28 today, and I've just had the strongest LH test result I've had so far, and my BBT has gone up today a bit too. Could that mean AF (which I wouldn't expect for another week usually), or a sign I might ovulate very late?
