Thought I’d make a new thread for those of us Ttc in June 2024. I know some of us will cross over from end of May to June ! Wishing everyone all the luck ✨❤️

In that case, I think you might have ovulated already. Because some women tend to have LH surges before and after ovulation. I used to have just one LH surge which led to LH peak. Then after CP, I had 3 LH rises and that got me so confused. After the ovulation, my LH stayed relatively high but it was slowly decreasing.

I hope so as we worked hard when I got my first peak 😂. Will keep an eye on OPK’s for any more rises. I keep checking my chart from when I got pregnant before and had 3 days of highs after my
peak then, so hopefully it’s nothing too concerning x

Amazing thanks a lot for this, will definitely look into it more.

I’ve just done another opk and it’s substantially lower than before. Accompanied with thick, white cm so I really don’t think I’m ovulating now

Another day... Another bfn 😫 still no period but the cramps continue... I keep willing a 2nd line to appear but I think I'm just having a really long cycle. Like @GreenPickle I just want my period to arrive at this point. So I can get on with this months cycle. I don't know how the ladies who've been trying for so long do it.

Have you ovulated based on the ovulation kit ? I had a 35 day cycle in January and before that I used to have 28 day cycles. So the January cycle was 1 week late and I was feeling really stressed during the month. I also kept testing if I was pregnant however I kept getting negative results. Maybe your current cycle is a bit like my Jan cycle ? I don’t think I ovulated that cycle because I had two BBT rises , one was around CD10 which was super early and another one was 6 days before I got AF (CD29). This Jan cycle was a weird one.

Yes! But Proov Pdg test strips are quite expensive and that is why I decided to buy Mira to monitor my hormone levels closely( expensive investment but it is worth it in the long run)

@LucyCL 18dpo AF was due this Tuesday just gone.

@LucyCL oh wow that’s very interesting! I’ve never seen these tests before.

Is it this one on Amazon?

So I could test between 7-10dpo x4? Definitely seems worthwhile for peace of mind. Thanks so much for recommending!

@BlueberryPoppy123 what dpo are you? I’ve seen a few people on here not get even just a faint BFP until AF is due/late 🤞🏻.

We’ve been ttc for over a year now and I feel like just giving up at this point. If it’s not happened by now I don’t know why I keep trying. Losing the will now. I’m always positive in the lead up and then once my peak hits I become obsessive.

@Irish812 your holiday will definitely keep your mind occupied ☺️. What a great distraction at this time!

@LucyCL I have no idea what’s going on with my body this cycle. If I didn’t have a BBT rise (I think it’s risen enough) then I’d assume I just didn’t ovulate initially. My head is honestly scrambled 🤯

Just to give you a comparison, I have attached two pictures. One is the last cycle (7dpo -10dpo) from the Proov app, and I had pdg 5.5 ug/ml on 8dpo which means I ovulated. The second one is this cycle (2dpp -4dpo) from Mira, my pdg is above 5 ug/ml so that also means I ovulated. I hope this explanation helps. 🙂

There is one way to figure out. It is good to test your pdg level to see if you have ovulated.

I started to use Proov's pdg test one month ago.
This is how it works if you are interested.
There are 6 days to take the tests.
Day 1 (Follicular phase, baseline pdg test): the first day after your period ends or on CD5. Expect this test result to be negative, as this provides an important baseline result to which you can compare your future results.

Here is what I found regarding the importance of the PDG baseline tests.
"To understand what “elevated” means for you, we first need a good idea of what your natural levels look like so that later on we can tell whether or not your PdG levels reached an adequate level in order to allow for the best possible chance at conception.
Additionally, baselines can help us confirm whether or not you ovulated, in the event that your 7-10 DPP tests weren’t quite positive. If there is a significant enough change in intensity between the test line on your baseline test to your 7 DPP test — meaning your 7 DPP test is significantly lighter — then we can confirm that ovulation did in fact occur."

Day 2 (Fertile window): the day when you detect peak fertility
Day 3 -6 (Luteal phase): 7dpo - 10 dpo, 4 days pdg testing. Your levels cam fluctuate from day to day.
Positive: If only a single line shows (the "control line"), your test is positive, indicating elevated PdG.
Negative: When two lines appear, the result is negative, indicating PdG levels are not elevated enough for a positive result.
Note: A baseline reading will typically be negative, although the test line may be faint.

Successful ovulation: Positive results during testing window (sustained PdG levels during the testing window) indicates a successful ovulation this cycle.

You must use FMU and I dip the test strip in the cup for 15 seconds and wait for 10 minutes then I use the Proov app to read the result.

In your case, you can start testing now. Usually your Proov app will tell you the concentration level of pdg. If it is above 5, then it is positive and that means ovulation has occurred.
I hope it will help you to determine if you have ovulated or not.

Hi Ladies,

Can I join in on this thread?
29 and our first month of TTC for baby #1. Currently in my TWW. My 30th is next week & promised myself to only test afterwards.

Is anyone on here using Natural Cycles to track/can share their experience with how accurate it is? I’ve been tracking BBT & using ovulation tests for the last few months to become more familiar with my cycle.

any other apps / tracking to recommend?
x

I only started to use Mira two days ago and I bought it because I want to understand my body and my hormone levels better after a CP. I also use premom and Flo.

@GreenPickle how are you getting on?

I’m getting close to peak again today 😣😣😣

Edited

Perhaps you could be having multiple ovulation? You will release more eggs this cycle ?

Hi all, took a short break from this when AF arrived a few weeks ago as its now month 5 ttc baby #1. I'm now 4dpo and going on holidays Tuesday so I'm not going to test unless I've a missed period. Really hoping to see a BFP soon 🙏 hope everyone in the TTW is doing OK.

I am also 4 dpo, still test LH and my other hormone levels every day. I am not going to look for any potential matching symptoms, right now I just want to understand my body a bit better. I’d also be happy if I get a BFP. Baby dust to you!

Is anyone using Mira to monitor the menstrual cycle ?
I started to use it on 2po. Today is 4 dpo. If it is possible, I’d be interested in seeing people’s mira charts to compare mine.

Hi all, didn’t see there was a June thread, thanks for setting it up @RW269.

i am also in TWW, not even sure what DPO as I’m trying not to think about it. Not holding out too much hope for this month as we were staying with DH’s parents on my peak fertile days 😅

Welcome @ScarlettSloth ! I am also cycle one although TTC baby number two for me 😊 I use LH strips and then the apps I use are Flo and Premom (which reads and stores my LH strip results). I don't really need Flo but like to use it to track. I think the apps are accurate if you have the same cycle every month but I rely on the LH strips more than any apps.

@GreenPickle aww I hope you have the best day! Take it all in and enjoy every moment 🥰.

Oooo that’s great you caught on first try, albeit chemical, but at least you know it’s very possible and hopefully catch on to a healthy bean very soon. It is the most daunting, emotionally exhausting experience ttc 😂.

We got pregnant with DD the first month of using OPK’s, but I’m starting to think she’s my miracle child and won’t happen again lol.

I put in another thread too, but I looked back on my chart when I got pregnant before and I had 3 days of high OPK’s after my peak then so I’ve regained a bit of faith

GreenPickle · 31/05/2024 18:42

@Marie1990x thank you! Will deffo take my mind off things for the next week or so… then back to testing 😂

this is my second cycle, with the first ending in a CP! Also my first child so don’t really know what to expect on this journey! Already fed up 😂😂 so many things to think about and we are mostly not really in control of what happens!

Marie1990x · 31/05/2024 16:50

@GreenPickle yeah definitely feel that about wanting AF to come.

Oh wow congratulations!!!! That’s definitely something to keep you occupied during the wait 😂. So exciting!

I’ve lost count on the cycles 😣 it’s been around a year, a bit longer. How about you? X

GreenPickle · 31/05/2024 15:45

@Marie1990x haha my digital ovulations tests are staying firmly in their drawer! Will do another test before bed hahaha

I would rather my period come at this point because then at least I have an answer!

the Asda tests are 25miu in terms of sensitivity whereas the clearblue early (red light) is 10 I believe? It caught my BFP last cycle at 12dpo! But yeah, I’m like 99% sure it won’t be positive but we’ll see!

im getting married within the next week so will bring some tests with me when I go away afterwards and hopefully get my BFP then! Did not think TTC would be this mentally draining, wish I was that naive now 😂😂

looks like we are on a similarish DPO (I think I’m 1 if I go my peak 2 days ago)! Hopefully we get bfps as the same time ❤️

what cycle is this for you? Xx

Marie1990x · 31/05/2024 15:12

@GreenPickle hahaha a girl after my own heart with the testing 🤣. What the heck is happening with these tests and us!
At this stage I’m testing every time I need to pee! It’s a good job they’re just cheapies.

I’m not sure what the Asda ones are like, I never used them. I like their ovulation sticks though so hopefully they’re as good!
