I'm sorry it's all so confusing @BlueberryPoppy123 I do think it's hard for others, even husbands, to understand how it feels to be the one TTC sometimes. We're here to support you whatever you want to do! Have you tested this cycle at all yet?

BlueberryPoppy123 · 03/06/2024 21:47

Another day still no AF but I resisted testing all day just because I'm pretty sure I'm just going to get more BFN's. I'd love to get a bfp but just feel like I missed last cycle so don't think it's going to happen. So I've been willing AF on by wearing white underwear today and new light shorts to humiliate me in public but still a no show. CD 35 now. My tummy cramps have all stopped now though. So it's like I had a period with no bleeding... I just don't know where I am.

My first pregnancy I was on the pill so was a huge surprise but my other 2 pregnancies were planned so I had been trying and you know when you think you might be and you start convincing yourself you've got all these symptoms even before AF is due and then she arrives bang on time and you're so gutted because you were sure that was the month. I'm a week late tomorrow and I can't even try to pretend I have any symptoms because there's just none just no AF.

Sorry I'm just rambling but my husband's just been quite dismissive he's not in a rush and is so casual about it he doesn't get why I can't just wait another week and test again if AF doesn't show. Noone else knows we are trying and just need to get it out of my head. Sorry 🙈

Also forgot to ask has anyone tired proceive? I take a standard multivitamin, folic acid and omega 3/fish oil. Is it worth buying proceive instead or are they all much the same? I have also been looking into talking COQ10

Hello I’m currently going into cycle 6 of TTC. I have a 3 half year old and fell pregnant the first time with her. I think I was nieve in thinking it would happen so easily again :(. Every month I use the Cheepie opks and digitals, so I know my ovulation dates etc but for some reason it’s just not working
for us. I’m 36 soon and just wondering at what point should I go to the doctors, and maybe ask for some tests/even bloods. Does anyone have any experience of doing so? X

@SLLR i would go to them now just to express your concerns worse they can say is wait another x amount of months.

@Marie1990x no but I have been meaning to get an Apple Watch! I don’t want to get into BBT just yet because I think I would obsess over it 🙈 the OPKs are bad enough!

I haven’t tested LH today - how is yours looking?

Yeah totally get you. I’ve never really done the BBT tracking properly but started when my opk was rising. The one good thing about it is that you can’t keep checking it and trying to second guess lines 😂. I’ll probably try it next cycle from as soon as AF arrives and try get a better understanding.

Yeah my OPK’s are low finally 🙌🏼. When I did it earlier I was too weak to refrain from doing a HCG too (don’t judge 😂😂)

How are you feeling?

Hi,

I hope it's okay for me to join! TTC #1 and on cycle #6. Needed a little break from the forums after a chemical in January but ready to be back and hopefully see some lovely BFPs :)

hopeful4us · 03/06/2024 16:55

@adventurer99 I think that’s what’s holding me back from testing. I’ve currently got hope and testing might extinguish that so I’ll just keep waiting. I’ve got my fingers crossed for everyone on this thread x

adventurer99 · 03/06/2024 16:51

Hold off as long as you can!!

I caved today at 7dpo (had some bright red fresh blood but also know nothing would more than likely show up) and have felt crap all day seeing nothing but a stark white gap on 2 tests!

hopeful4us · 03/06/2024 16:49

LucyCL · 03/06/2024 10:48

I started to use the cheap easy at home strips from 1 dpo and I will use first response and CD digital on 10 dpo. What about you?

I’m planning to hold off testing until 10dpo as our first cycle so don’t want to pin everything on it, if AF arrives at least I can track properly. Having said that I’ll probably cave earlier - my partner is much more relaxed than I am!

CoolSummer89 · 03/06/2024 16:25

@LucyCL That is so interesting to see the Mira graphs. As someone who loves a gadget and data I have been so tempted, but I haven't been able to justify the upfront and ongoing cost. Although if I knew at the start that I would be at least 5 cycles, then I might have... Might see if they do another discount code if I am unsuccessful this cycle. Re: resting heart rate I have a fitbit that does it (and will say if it's higher than my normal range), although it doesn't do BBT like apple watch.

@GreenPickle Ah sorry you are finding it draining. Speaking from my own experience I found cycles 2 & 3 the hardest because I did become a bit obsession. I am on cycle 5 of trying now and I am very much able to think about other things which is nice. I also took a break from trying after cycle 4, and that helped a lot. I think you would think it's worst thing to not try, but for me I found it gave me a bit of perspective and I looked forward to trying again.

@Carportforme @Simplespell27 @LeleMR So sorry to read about your losses, wishing you all the best for this cycle and TTC going forward.

@Marie1990x how many dpo are you? BBT drops mid-luteal phase are quite common with a late oestrogen rise. I get a big drop every cycle and then temp goes up again.

My update
I am 7dpo today, had a really fitful sleep last night. Woke up feeling very nauseous and luckily I am working from home because I can't stop burping! I have a rule that don't assume anything before 12dpo is a symptom which I am breaking today!

The good thing about TTC for more than a few months is I remember feeling nauseous at a similar point a couple of months ago, so not going to read into it! 👀

KittyFantastica · 03/06/2024 13:33

@Marie1990x @ScarlettSloth Thank you both!

I also wear it on the inside of my wrist and did find the readings settled down a lot once I started doing that. I do have it set up to send the data straight to Fertility Friend, I think I might have misunderstood that it tracks BBT automatically.

I'll definitely play around with the toggles. Thanks again! :)

Marie1990x · 03/06/2024 12:45

@KittyFantastica mine doesn’t track BBT, it’s just an old basic SE model, but looking at the RHR it could give you an indicator? I just do my BBT manually

ScarlettSloth · 03/06/2024 12:44

KittyFantastica · 03/06/2024 12:33

@Marie1990x and @ScarlettSloth may I ask how up get your watches to automatically track BBT? I've struggled to get mine to do it. I can set a time for it to take my temp via sleep schedule, but it goes in as wrist temp and not BBT. It also doesn't give me a graph or anything for my resting heart rate, just takes snapshots and lists them, but only for the last five minutes.

I have a Series 9 Apple Watch, I'm wondering if it's a model issue. Many thanks!

Hi!

It uses your wrist temperature yes and then I’ve set mine up to import that into natural cycles and fertility friend automatically each morning so that I can compare it to my base with my other symptoms etc. Make sure it’s always in sleep mode and at least 30% charged and I wear it on the inside of my wrist at night (I think sometimes external factors like a fan/disturbed sleep does impact the readings)

I ordered the natural cycles thermometer too & thinking of switching to that at the start of my next cycle if I get a bfn this cycle.

If you go into the health app on your phone and look at “show all health data” then click on “heart rate”, then “show more heart rate data” and then click on resting rate at the bottom and toggle it to a weekly/monthly setting, it will display as a pin pointed graph instead of a range.

I think mine is also the series 9 watch. X

I am interested in the resting heart rate in correlation with ovulation. I would like to buy a watch to monitor RHR however which brand is the best?
If it is possible, could you share your RHR chart ? I am really curious!

Here is mine. My LH peak was on Wednesday.

My hubby got me the Apple Watch specifically because it has a built in bbt tracker.

I have an Apple Watch, I’ve had it years so it’s not the best but does the job. I think any of the tracking watches will do it. The latest Apple Watches track BBT too.

This is my chart starting when I got my peak. I’ve just noticed today’s has also dropped along with my BBT! How funny that it’s coinciding with temping!

I did an OPK today to check (as normally it would be today I’d see my surge in my longer cycles), and stupidly did a HCG too. No helping some people 😂😂

@Carportforme @Simplespell27 @LeleMR sorry to hear you’ve all had a rough time with the mc’s 😔. Such an emotionally draining time and wishing you all sticky beans.

I think I’m out before it’s even properly began, BBT dropped to below the cover line today

Maybe you had interrupted sleep which could cause a drop in BBT?

Hi all, joining you for the first time on here. First time TTC ended early in a chemical last month but my LH seems to be rising since yesterday, so I am hopeful that my cycle is returning to normal.

Nice to have found people to share this journey with, wishing you all the best!

Question: When would you say is the best time in the day to test for an LH surge? Thanks

If you don't drink water from 6 p.m, your pee will be more concentrated so FMU/SMU is good for testing LH. Normally people say SMU is the best. Normally you get LH surges in the afternoon normally so it is advisable to test it in the afternoon.

Carportforme · 02/06/2024 22:33

I would love to join you ladies, wish I didnt have to. Just on the end of bleeding from a chemical, sadly. Second loss so will be starting low dosexaspirin this time. Good luck everyone.

I also had two losses including a CP which happened last month. I hope your hormone levels will return back to normal! It took me 22 days to ovulate. Fingers crossed for yours!

LucyCL · 03/06/2024 11:00

Marie1990x · 02/06/2024 21:51

Famous last words, I’ll no doubt end up packing them in my handbag and doing them 😂. I did that with the OPK’s as I didn’t want to miss the peak 😅.
Yeah should be 8/9dpo on Thursday.
With DD I got my first vvvvfl at 10dpo, but that was very diluted afternoon sample.

Have you (or anyone) ever checked out resting heart rate in correlation with ovulation? I’ve just looked at my stats from my Apple Watch and it started rising with the same pattern as my BBT! Could be a coincidence but it’s interesting

@LucyCL thank you! How long are you ttc? I started using natural cycles to track BBT since sept 2023 when I came off the pill. So technically 9 months ago but didn't start properly TTC until Jan/Feb. I also use the conception plus fertility lube. Tried SMEP method last cycle but this cycle dtd every 2nd day once period ended. I will not be symptom spotting this cycle as it makes seeing BFN harder when you convince yourself.
@hopeful4us yes once BBT is elevated 3 days in a row it's confirmed ovulation!

Fx for everyone this cycle ❤️

I started since last October however didn't test LH daily but did measure BBT daily until I found out I was pregnant this Jan. Then I had a MC in March and a CP in May. So I started properly this Feb...I am also not symptom spotting : ) I used the Conceive Plus Fertility Lubricant and got pregnant each time.

Currently I am feeling calm and don't feel pregnant. Today is 6po and what about you?

LucyCL · 03/06/2024 10:48

hopeful4us · 02/06/2024 08:54

Think I’m in a similar position to @Irish812 and @LucyCL

My BBT are elevated for the 3rd day in a row so I’m assuming I ovulated on the 29/30th. We DTD on 25th & 28th so hopefully within the fertile window.

I know the TWW is torturous for so many but I’m really excited that I have something to aim for (rather than just waiting for AF and not knowing when she must return).

Let me know when you test and I’ll keep you updated!
