I'm 2dpo and would love some company to get through the next couple of weeks!

I'm on cycle 6 ttc #2. I keep going between feeling really hopeful and optimistic to feeling really deflated and like it's not going to happen. Hoping to stay positive though!

I'm 8dpo now and might teat today (after saying I'd wait ha ha). I feel surprisingly chilled about it at the moment so hoping I stay that way.

I got into my head the other day that I don't want to spend my little boys toddlerhood being obsessed with ttc #2 and look back and think that's all I thought about. So trying to take the 'whatever will be, will be' approach!

Also this has been the most stressful year of my career (primary school teacher) and I think I've just resigned myself to the fact it's not going to happen while my body is this stressed. My colleague tried from February last year and didn't get pregnant until the August (summer holidays!)

Exactly this !!! I read this and really resonated with it… if it happens it happens but like you need to live the happiest life with my little girl!

they do say stress plays a big factor in trying to conceive so need to be more zen , which is easier said than done in life … did you end up testing ? You are the same DPO as me and I caved and was BFN for me.

@Mumma8538 if you ovulated later your entire cycle will be that little bit longer (so AF will be due 12-14 days after you ovulated even if that makes your cycle length outside your norm).

Thank you, that’s very helpful to know as I wasn’t sure. I won’t expect AF just yet then… thanks again :)

@Daisyrobin123

Let us know how you get on. It's hard not to obsess it takes over doesn't it. I'm on month 1 ttc I tested 6dpo onwards saw a faint something day 7 and definitely 8! I'm now watching it to see if it disappears or I get a period. It's hard to think about anything else! 🙈

Keeping my fingers crossed for you!! 🤞

@ZK1 I caved 8DPO and BFN from me. Just a question how long should the lutheal phase be as I ovulated later than I thought CD19 but my cycles seem to average 26-30 which if you go by AF I should be due any day but Premom because of ovulation has put my AF as 3rd May and I don’t normally go 33 days in a cycle ?!

Favofit · 27/04/2024 07:55

Probably not until Monday , I'm 8dpo today and feel zero symptoms. Can't help but think it's not a good sign 😭

Daisyrobin123 · 27/04/2024 07:48

One of my friends uses OPK's and charts and it really works for her, she said it actually reduces her stress because she knows roughly what's happening and when... I was just a stressy monster 😂I've got everything crossed for you this cycle!

I'd be interested to know if it's an every cycle thing or a one off. I was told I have PCO years ago, but no symptoms except a period every 6 months. I'm not sure if that's the case now or not, I get regular periods since I actually gained weight (I was a UK size 4) and went to the gym, I never got the feeling I ovulated twice in 1 month though!

I had something similar with my 1st, but it was anything milk based, I could taste the milk or anything dairy so strongly in everything! I'm not sure if I registered it before my BFP but definately after. Hope it's a good sign for you!

I've had a few cramps, similar to you though it's pretty normal, boobs feeling a little sore but not unbearable, and I'm tired but we are moving house tomorrow so might just be all the packing! 😅

I suppose it’s each to their own and what works with for them… I’m in it at the minute but don’t know if it’s long term as I imagine I’ll get stressed with it also!

thank you! Hope you also get good news!

when you get the LH surge I don’t think you ovulate twice I’m sure you just get delayed ovulation?! I know someone else who it was short lived PCOS as once she put weight on she feel did she fell pregnant right away. So she still feels it was the wrong diagnosis .

gosh moving house will def make you feel tired , I hope it goes well at least you’ll be busy and the days will fly by to when you test.

Oh no worries

i I get that about stressing you out, it’s only my first month of properly doing OPK’s and I’m just starting to temp now … so if no luck I can do the both together next cycle.

that happened this cycle, as I say it’s my first month of doing OPK’s so before I was just going off my ovulation pains and I thought I was ovulating sooner than it appears I am. I don’t know if this happens every cycle for me or just a one off.

I’m having cramps but that isn’t out of the ordinary , the only one thing I’ve noticed today is my taste, this afternoon/ evening when I’ve eaten something it’s like really overpowering .. I’ve never heard of that being an early pregnancy thing but happening for me today. My smell isn’t heightened just my taste.

how are you getting on?

I have a question. My first pregnancy I had sore boobs a few days before BFP (It was 10DPO). Then last month I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks and 1 day. So this time I have been expecting to have the same symptom. I know it is only 7DPO today for me and I just found out that some people might have no symptoms for the second pregnancy after MC. So, I don't know what to expect anymore. Any comments?

I’ve read it can be different each pregnancy and also depends if it’s a girl or a boy !? Don’t know how true it is.

Firsttimetrier · 25/04/2024 20:10

Anyone else questioning every little twinge and unusual feeling? 7DPO and my boobs are on fire. They feel really tingly and sensitive which I don’t think I normally have, but I never pay that much attention when not TTC!

Think I’ll do a test tomorrow to see as I got a BFP at 8DPO with my DS.

When my DD my first sign was tender boobs , because it didn’t go away when AF was due I kind of knew I was pregnant before I got a BFP!

im 8 DPO tomorrow and I was thinking I would hold out til 10DPO but I think I’ll do one tomorrow as well just because it’s the weekend and I’ll have more time … or I’m just thinking of excuses 😆 one minute I’m like don’t do it, it’s far too early and the next minute I’m like go on do it , won’t do any harm 🙈

Sorry for delayed response!

No they stress me out, as does doing temps & chart, they work so fantastically well for so many women but for me not so much.

Did that happen this cycle for you or a previous?

AF due in 4 days, so I'll be testing then, but if its bfn I'll be testing a week after!

How are you feeling this afternoon? Any new symptoms?

Hello, welcome

do you use OPK’s at all? As this happened to me and when I look at my tests I had a surge around CD9/10 and had ovulation pain with more CM but had my peak at CD18 and the same ovulation pain and CM so looks like I get symptoms when I also surge .
when is your AF due?

@blackberryhill thank you! I got a BFP at 8DPO with my son but will test again on Sunday and see!

blackberryhill · 26/04/2024 16:11

@Firsttimetrier 8PDO is still super early for a positive test, you're not necessarily out yet! I didn't have a positive till 11DPO with my son (was negative at 10DPO). I always found this site helpful when I was tempted to test early: Pregnancy tests on 8 days past ovulation - Countdown to pregnancy

Did a test and a BFN (at 8DPO). Kind of what I was expecting as we missed DPD on my predicted ovulation day but did well the few days leading up.

Not too disappointed but know we need to time things better!

Oh, sorry you did say that in your post. I’m not very knowledgeable about irregular cycles so apologies if I ask a silly question.

could test on cheap ovulation tests - basically everyday to see what you ovulate? I don’t usually have irregular cycles but after I lost my son my periods were a little irregular so I started testing from around 5 days after my period to when I got my next period. I usually did it in the morning and if the line grew stronger I did another that evening.

that helped to pinpoint and it was getting a little tiring having to have sex every other day. Some days we’d miss it and I would fear that was the day we’d missed ovulation.

In any case, I hope this is your cycle!

Thats okay! I used to use the ovulation test strips but apparently theyre always positive... Frustrating! It`s common for PCOS patients like myself as our hormones are confused so give false readings so I stopped!

Im really sorry about your loss, I know how heart breaking it is. I hope you manage to conceive soon and wish you the best of luck <3 And I agree, sex is definitely tiring! Me and hubby both work long hours AND live with in laws so Im sure you can only imagine... Haha

Firsttimetrier · 26/04/2024 13:43

@ZK1 no, not tested yet as I didn’t have time before the toddler woke this morning.

I’ve just drank some water now so will try and do a test this afternoon! Although it’s giving me deja vu as I tested on a Friday afternoon during work with my DS and then had to wait until my husband was home as he’s a teacher and couldn’t answer his phone 😂
