Two week wait anyone?

Anyone else currently in TWW? I’m 4dpo and anxiously waiting until I can test.

I am currently trying to conceive my 3rd baby. I have 2 girls who are 6 and 8. And I’m desperately hoping they to see a positive test
My periods have been very irregular for the past year or so. But got a positive ovulation test on Sunday morning and have done BD with hubby last Wed, Saturday night and Monday night.
🤞🤞

Im also anxious because as ridiculous as it sounds I’ve had 2 online readings from 2 different psychics last month, one said I would conceive in November and give birth in August and one said September and December would be important months. Now I can’t get it out of my head that I won’t convince until the end of the year (if that even happens) 🙈🙈

I had no problems conceiving my first two girls 6 and 8 years ago, happen on first try both times so I am desperately hoping it will be the same this time. I am 30 now so still young.

sorry for the long read! X

On the plus side I think those winter birthdays are good in terms of school readiness etc - not so old in the year that they might be bored, but not on the young end either.

Im taking progesterone so you’d think I’d have some symptoms from that but I don’t! For some reason have started to feel depressed and pessimistic about this month.

2BabyOrNot2Baby · 16/04/2024 12:50

Another one with sore boobs 🙋🏻‍♀️ keep trying to tell myself to shut up and I'm only 6dpo so it's unlikely but also can't help but bloody symptom spot 🙈 we're our own worst enemy aren't we 🤣

deliwoman1 · 16/04/2024 11:50

Yeah, there's something about the miserable British weather that makes winter birthdays a bit drab. But I'll take it if it means I conceive a second and can happily stop trying forever! Fingers crossed for you too, @TaliatheBard , and everyone!

I tested at the crack of dawn this morning too, but only because I woke up convinced I was 10dpo, and then realised it is TUESDAY today, NOT THURSDAY!

So I'm really either 7 or 8 dpo. Obviously a BFN. 🙄I also have zero symptoms of anything, so can't even symptom spot!😂Got a feeling it's not my month again.

I always said I'd be okay with not having a baby in Dec, Jan, or Feb because I figured they were kinda shitty months to have a birthday (I'm beginning of Feb and have always hated it!), but I am not okay with it at all!

I’m exactly the same about Dec, Jan & Feb. Me and my DP have our birthdays on Dec & Jan, and there are several family birthdays in those three months too. But now I’m actually TTC, I just want that BFP. Fingers crossed that you will get a BFP soon.

First cycle TTC ever and 6dpo today I think (clearblue put me at peak at CD16 but easy@home strips had me at CD20 which was last Wednesday)! I have been taking (cheap) tests just in case and to just get it out of my system (so far all negative) But I'm swayed to believe the cheap ones a bit more! Think I'll take a FRER on Friday at 9dpo!

Fingers crossed for a bfp for you on Friday.

@Aisling1010 I tested today too and that was also a negative, I tested purely because I could to be honest hahaha, I am also ridiculously tired today and my boobs have been hurting to the touch for about a week now, they are still sore today and my nipples are sensitive. I'm trying not to read into this as it is common around AF, I wish there were more unusual symptoms to determine if you're pregnant haha x

Harveybelle · 16/04/2024 10:33

Hey. I'm on cycle two following a MC in January. Predicted ovulation was Sunday.. we've been trying all weekend, and since then I've not stopped drinking tea and been weeing lots. Too early I know for symptom spotting but it's what's happening lol.
Hoping to get lucky soon. I have a son but our angel baby would have been my OH's first...

moosey89 · 16/04/2024 10:32

6dpo for me, never bother testing until my period is late. I've got 9 months to worry about being pregnant (have had multiple losses and no children yet) so I'd rather not find out any earlier than that 😂 also not someone who gets pregnant easily so it's a waste of money for me lol

Aged from 10-22… i mist be mental to want more haha

Xxfifixx89 · 16/04/2024 10:10

Hi all, 1dpo and not going to think too much sbout this one as i was convinced i was pregnant last month! Heading towards 40 and this will be my last baby (5th) so not very hopeful 🙄

JumpinJellyfish · 16/04/2024 10:04

8dpo is waaaayyy early @Aisling1010! you are definitely not out yet.

I only trust pink dye tests and am also very stingy so I won’t test until 10/11dpo. 10dpo is my son’s birthday so I might wait until the next day as I don’t want to feel down that day if I get a bfn!

Really random sore breasts when you press them or like just anyway? Thinking i'm imagining symptom at this point lol but i am squeezing.

I'm not testing today and my temp dropped a little today at 8dpo.

The last couple of days I’ve been pressing them
to see if they hurt lol they hurt just a little bit the last 2 days but today they definitely hurt only when I press them.
but then again that’s normal for me before AF anyway !

when do you plan to test?

I tested this morning, 8dpo. Totally negative
but I haven’t lost hope yet at all because I know that’s still ridiculously early

symptoms today are just super tired, constant mild cramping, sore boobs, sensitive nipples

how’s everyone else today?

@Revelatio these are the studies I found:

https://amp.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2015/oct/12/will-having-sex-every-day-increase-my-fertility - this one suggests that daily sex has immune benefits for the woman (actual study linked within the article)

https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/06/090630075311.htm - and this one says daily sex improves sperm quality (where no male issues)

Personally I couldn’t manage it every day though so we do something similar to the sperm meets egg plan - every other day from when my period stops and then daily once I see EWCM.

Every other day throughout your cycle is usually recommended when not tracking ovulation as it means you’ll definitely hit the fertile window at some point without exhausting yourself!

Im 6dpo today and no symptoms at all!

Will having sex every day increase my fertility? | Health & wellbeing | The Guardian

A news study suggests that daily sex helps ensure that sperm isn’t attacked as an invader – and that the fertilised egg implants into the uterus

I’m due in a week and have no symptoms. Last few month I have been convinced I was pregnant due to symptoms, but they must have been pre-menstrual as have come in like clockwork. When I’ve been pregnant in the past I’ve not noticed until around day 31 when I’ve felt sick!

Revelatio · 16/04/2024 07:35

@JumpinJellyfish

That’s odd, my husband had good test results but they advised us that every other day was best for conception. It’s such an non-exact science I imagine nobody is completely certain!

SummerSun24 · 16/04/2024 06:38

I'll add to the symptom spotting 😂 telling myself that it's the same hormones as PMS and 'pregnancy symptoms' don't come untill HGC levels are high enough to be spotted on a test but...
Sensitive nipples and bigger than normal al boobs (hard to tell with this one cos still BF DC1 and go all day at work with out doing so, but last night still pretty big after a big feed)
Very bloated with mild cramps
Tireder than usual, physically as well which is what happened with DC1
Experienced a bit of back ache on the weekend too!

As I said all PMS symptoms as well though 😂

Loving how many people are in the same boat!
7dpo here too!
What symptoms are you feeling today and what have you been feeling the last few days?

I’ve had a bit of nausea, cramping and some dizziness which is what’s making me think it’s maybe something else. I’ve also been quite emotional today but I have PNDD, so I don’t know if it’s that or a reaction to a hormone surge. It’s my first cycle properly trying! So I can’t believe it would happen this soon, I’m also 43, but not peri menopausal.

Hi all, can I join? I’m 2 dpo. I’ve got a little girl who’s 2 & a half. We had 4 recurrent miscarriages before her and 1 last year. We’ve decided to try again. I’m so nervous I’ve got to start taking progesterone asap but I’m waiting for my consultant to get back to me x

Hi! Of course. It’s great to speak to so many people in the same boat! I’m so sorry to hear about your previous miscarriages 😢

did the drs recommend you taking progesterone? X
