What could be going on?

I'm not actively trying.

Unprotected sex twice around predicted ovulation. My period is now 2 days late but I have all the symptoms of my period - bloated stomach, cramps, tiredness.

But, I've also been super emotional (even woke up from a dream crying for the first time ever!), my nipples have been painful for about two weeks now and I got really dizzy today for no reason.

I hadn't put any of it together until the dizziness today so will be buying a test tomorrow if I dont come on but has anyone had any similar experiences? Did it end up being an odd period or an early pregnancy?

I know 2 days isn't very long but I'm freaking myself out a little now!

Hi @carsty I did do a digital and I was pregnant. Blood test also showed very high HCG but it was diagnosed as a molar pregnancy and so did not continue.

hi @Jigsawa I hope you are well. Those lines look fairly ok though its been nearly 2 mnths now since u posted. I hope u dont mind updating if you did the digital test in the end?

Think there's a line but if there is, it's super faint for a period that's 4 days overdue?

What do you think?

100% positive. Maybe you ovulated later.

Thanks @Twinkletwinklelil - I think I see a line too - it would be great for it to be more obvious one way or another.

I'll try the dipping tomorrow with the digital. I also didn't know about the mid stream thing 😳 trust me to pee on a stick wrong! Thank you

Have you tried peeing into a pot and dipping?
are you peeing mid- stream?

the photos you have posted do look positive

Hi, for the first one I did it first thing but it was really hard to see anything at all.

Today's was late afternoon.

Just did a Google though, and some of the reviews of Superdrugs tests say the lines don't seem to get stronger. Clutching a bit maybe but I do have a digital that I'll try tomorrow.

My DP is home tomorrow evening so wanted to have a clear idea one way or another by then ideally - still no AF but at least that would be definitive at this stage!

i feel ok - not testing until tomorrow or Monday as I’ve only got one test left and want to make sure I don’t waste another one haha. My period is due Monday so I might wait until then.

I’ve been quite grumpy today though, not sure if it’s my period coming or the hormones! Plus I’m very tired in the evenings, but that could just be down to having a toddler! 😅

Fingers crossed for you. The patience is super hard 😅

Ive ordered a digital test to arrive tomorrow so planning to do that on Monday if no period so may be a similar time! Good luck

The cramping has mostly stopped, I'm still really tired but no further dizziness. Sore breasts still.

I have no idea how people cope with this rollarcoaster every month - hat's off!

I think my plan is to try again tonight with the Superdrug ones I already have and then try with a digital on Monday if still no period.

Thanks for sticking with me through all this all, I haven't spoken to my DP about it yet as he's away with work and would like to have a definite answer before I open that convo so it's really nice to have someone here 😊

If you’d like to try a different brand, I really love the waitrose and Sainsbury’s cheap pink dye ones, very reliable tests and I think they are probably the same spec.

theres nothing wrong with cheap pink dye tests - in my opinion the expensive ones are just branding. pink dye tests are very reliable and I have used waitrose own, boots and Sainsbury’s in my previous pregnancy and now we’re currently trying.

I think a faint line at this stage is fine, mine with my son was quite faint on the day my period was due. It may be that you ovulated late too? I would just wait a few days then test again, And maybe in a week’s time if you wanted to you could do a digital test which tells you the weeks?

Thanks @Happybirthdaytotheground it was a cheap one from Superdrug.

I think I probably need to pay out for the more expensive ones to know one way or another - thought I was saving some money.

Today would be 28 days from my last period but I'm reliably a 25 day girl. Not sure if I'm getting ahead of myself testing now.

theres a line there @Jigsawa however it is very faint for being 2 days late. Is this the poundland test by any chance? I took one of these and it was horrible asmy lines were so faint. Good luck

Good chance it’s pregnancy but the symptoms are so similar to pms you just never know!
Hope you get the result you want! First pee in the morning is best🤞🏽
