Hopefully good old Vita (Zita!!) will sprinkle some babydust on us all...

Sarah I think my last chart on ff was the same for post-O rise. It's better I agree to not have to guess.

Herbie, Lottie and I were bemoaning the fact that the digi opk's, brilliant as they are, are very expensive to use and there re no replacement sticks available. Each month would cost £22.99 for a new kit.

I also use a persona and had to check out the website for a contact number and noticed it's the same company who produce both.

Then I noticed the test sticks looked identical.

Once I got the face on the opk and the persona (peak), I used the next days urine to test the persona sticks in the cb digi opk the next day, got a face.

You can buy replacement persona sticks from Boots for £9.99 per pack of 8 tests. Blushingbuyer sells them for £7.85, I think.

If you have a regular cycle and know roughly when you O, then I think you could make on pack of test sticks last 2-3 months.

That's significantly cheaper than any other OPK's, but far more reliable results, because there is no need to interpret the results.

Hope that makes sense.

Welcome back Nappy, glad you enjoyed your trip.

Hello lovely ladies one and all

Thought I had better report in after our long weekend (last weekend) in the Big Apple.

No idea where i am cyclewise as time difference and jetlag affected my temps and am trying OV sticks this month too, but again hard when you are out and about eating lovely food! Pretty certain I OV'd at the airport before coming home as had bad abdominal planes.

I did LOADS of shopping, especially shoes as they are a lot cheaper. I got DS some little converse boots - only £10 and he looks sooooooooooooooooooooo cute in them. Also jumpers and tank tops 4 me and loads of clothes for DS from Macy's as they had a 1 day sale on.

We went all over the place - Empire State Building (thurs eve), Fri - MoMA and gorgeous lunch at their new restaurant "the Modern" followed by 2hrs of shopping - went to Tequila Flats - which was fab, noisy and a free shot of tequila, and we went to a fab place in Tribeca that u peeps recommended for a Sunday brunch, before catching the overnight flight back. but on the whole we just spent a lot of time in Heartlands breweries (we managed to visit all 4!!)

So a HUGE thank you from all 4 of us who went for your fab recommendations it was fun trying to find places.

I know I have missed loads here and I am sorry that I have not been more supportive and involved recently, I guess I am just starting to feel like DS will be an only child and I will have to deal with that.

Hi all
Been away to france for the weekend (hark at me sounding so jet setty)...but had a great weekend with friends away from the thermometer and thoughts of the 2ww.....weather was gorgeous so am feeling quite rejuvenated...so, haven't temped for 3 days and have decided I prob won't bother now til AF comes along...
Hope everyone ok - Lottie are you feeling a bit better ? Sorry you were miserable.

All am a bit confused re the digital OPK thingies - I have a clearblue one (pink button?) and kept the base but are you saying you can get replacement sticks for it? They're so flipping expensive those things thats why I opted for the cheapy internet ones. Sorry if the ?'s already been asked - I got a bit lost below with what was going on but caught the jist.

Just trying to catch up on my trillion skyplussed telly programs !.....

sarah76 · 27/04/2008 20:16

Holy cow, Squacky that's some temp jump you've got! Wish everyone's was so clear!

Clair, CD22 looks so much more likely.

Tink, looks like you just had a big temp jump, I'd say O was more likely on CD36, but you'd need two more high ones to confirm that.

Temp took a gigantic dive this morning so I reckon AF has packed her bags and is on the road to my house. Trouble is, I have no idea what to expect. I forgot my B6 quite a few days this month, and the sore nips have returned, albeit not nearly as bad as before. So the question is....will my luteal phase be 11, or 12 or 13 this time? Usually my temp drop happens two days before AF, so I might be looking at a short one again.

Nope def cd22 I'd say.

Tink that chart of yours is looking better isn't it? hope you get the lines tomorrow.

I've found my thermometer, so will maybe have lines tomorrow as well, then I'm not temping/testing anymore until either 12dpo or my period is late. Just update my days as usual please.

Squackycake · 27/04/2008 12:25

Get a cb digi opk and there is no guessing, just either a smiley face or not. I'm absolutely converted .

Off to look at your chart

Clairvoyanttoo · 27/04/2008 11:02

Hi Lottie, thank you!! ... I don't really 'feel' like I'm at 10DPO so I'd love to revert ov back to CD22 again. I really got frustrated with my OPKs this cycle so it wouldn't surprise me if one was off. The two dates I'd marked were defintely my darkest lines ... there was a bit of fading to one side of the test lines but about 2/3 to 3/4 of each line was as dark as or darker than the control line. It was the faded part that confused me. Going back to CB digital next cycle so there's no question.

I'll remove the first positive opk ... let's hope that does the trick. Thanks again, Lottie ... you're a big help Now get listening to your CD again ....

Good Morning everyone!

FF just did the strangest thing! I entered my temp for this morning and it changed my date of ovulation from CD22 to CD19!! Don't understand this as the change would put my temps on 2DPO & 3DPO beneath the coverline ... which seems very strange to me.

If I did ov on CD19, then the good thing is it set the intercourse timing score to 'high' rather than 'good' as it was before. BUT, I'm not ready to be so close to the end of my 2WW yet ... I love the first week as you can daydream & hope without obsessing about any symptoms. Thought I had a few days yet before I started to feel AF on her way ...

Has anyone had FF change their ov date before? Did you think it was right? Please feel free to look at my chart.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone!

Looking at your chart this morning, I think you will be looking for a temp over 37.0 to be looking at O, what does everyone else think?

Sarah ... its a good thing you can feel sorry for XH, definitely shows it's his loss. Completely understand the association part ... your DP does sound wonderful!

Squacky ... nice work on the ov sticks. I think I kept a CB digital ov device-thingy in case someone ever made just such a discovery. Must hoke it out. Thank you for sharing your find!

no temp for me today as kids were playing doctors yesterday with my thermometer and now it's missing!
I can't confirm if I've O'd or not. I'll have to buy a new one today.
If I have a leap in temp tomorrow I wonder what ff will say?

I'm adding myself as 1dpo anyway as I'm fairly sure it is.

Have a lovely day everyone

sarah76 · 26/04/2008 05:51

Squacky, nice find with the cheaper OPK sticks!

Clair, I did watch first season of Heroes (downloading from the U.S.), but didn't see the final two. I was splitting up with XH at the time and seem to associate the show with him now, weird eh? I don't want to put too many shows on my viewing plate as it just reminds me of XH and his obsession to keep up with everything (except his wife of course).

Speaking of that. . .for the record can I say that my DP is just wonderful for putting up with me and my slip-ups in mentioning XH? I know he finds it hard to understand, but I do feel sorry for XH. He's moving to a new city completely on his own, no one to explore with, and only his computers, giant TV and 3 video game consoles for company. But I suppose he's happy that way, no wife demanding attention and sex! I don't think I'll ever understand him.
