I just went and listened to the hypno cd... and I fell asleep again who'd have thought I was so relaxed

ClaireLesley... how about you book in for next cycle, it gives you something to look forward to. And you can cancel your appointment if you get your bfp this cycle. You've got to feel comfortable at the place you are going, and if the one near you will make you worry about who might see you.
Although, if you can tell a porkie without blushing, then you could always say you are having reflexology for back pain or something

Am I showing myself up as one who finds it easy to tell a fib?

Did anyone see The One Show today? There was a piece about Thalidomide ... I knew about it, of course, but to see that it still affects women after all these years, the trauma they felt at what they had taken, in good faith, had affected their precious babies.

Hi Everyone! Phoned for my acupuncture appointment today and she's booked up for 3 weeks solid! So ... she must be good if she's so busy, but that means I can't try acupuncture with her this cycle. The only other place that is easily accessible to me is a little chinese place in a local shopping centre ... but the world and his wife goes there and I'd worry about being seen/interrogated by nosy neighbours and friends. Crappity crap.

Claire ... it's not over yet!

Ready · 03/04/2008 17:32

I?ve not got a + (or even a faint line) opk either? and usually get at least a faint line by now will just have to see what happens with my temp. I think that the wee has to be really concentrated to get any kind of line doesn?t it? Not sure if I waited long enough between wees

Lottie? feel free to psychoanalyse me any time you like ? wonder what it says about me that I actually quite like being psychoanalysed? ? reading that back I realised that ?furiously private? probably wasn?t the right thing to say ? apologies for the juxtaposition, I think I was going for ?fiercely??
I agree with what you say about the word ?trying?? I say it, but I also think it sounds pathetic. Still, I continue to say it, because what else is there?
I am [shocked] and at your friend for saying that there must be something wrong to not fall pregnant within 5 months. Disgusting. I am amazed at how people can be so naïve and stupid!
Oh? and I completely agree with that school of thought that the ONLY people who understand what it feels like to try and not succeed fairly quickly are those that have been through it themselves. SO TRUE! Sadly.
Honestly? when I walked home from the dry cleaners today I stopped to look at a beautiful magnolia tree? I would love one.

Herbgarden? Metallic? Any other signs??

Sarah, the rates of most things are more reasonable the further north you go. I lived up that way for a couple of years (went to Ikea in Warrington a few times) and noticed immediately the price differences when we returned down here. I have to say I really miss Manchester? A LOT.
I?ve moved around a fair bit, so I am excited for you at the prospect of moving soon. I love packing boxes though ? love it

PrePG you sound just the right amount of geeky to me

fym, we?ve got a focus, and I love it. Sorry that you are all so poorly? hope that you get it all out of the way early in the year? Good health from here on in?

Nappy have a great trip ? be safe and enjoy yourself.

Sorky, that?s also what I thought ? see how good she is ? the new plan is to see how I get on with the reflexology, for my sinuses, and if she picks anything up with my reproductive area, then I will either come clean ? or look for a non-family friend for fertility reflexology
How long have you been doing Reiki? Is that good for fertility?

Minxi, tell us, are you and your husband non-doms? ? seriously, you are always off on holiday ? you jet setter you

Almost forgot Lottie, get yourself the Saab? you can always sell it on when the time comes

Who is going to start the weight loss thread then? I?ll join, I want to shift about 7 lbs, and it is good to have some encouragement? we had a weightloss after Christmas last year (show?s how long I have been here!)

How?s everyone else doing?

PrePG · 03/04/2008 17:12

How dorky am I - I just made an excel spreadsheet (at work no less!) of the four cycles I've charted to see if I could find any patterns between the appearance of spotting, then EWCM, then O! Although I know it's incredilby weird, it's also kind of interesting...

minxi · 03/04/2008 13:18

No Sarah your chart predicting isn't rubbish... my bodyt is being rubbish anyway just waiting for taxi - not going to think about it now for 11 days - will catch up when I get back...

sarah76 · 03/04/2008 12:43

Sorry about the BFN, ClairePO Fruity, if the constant BDing is getting difficult, maybe focus on watching your cervical mucus and cervical position? That way if you notice they are starting to change, you still have time to BD! I decided this cycle to be really good at charting both because I noticed such a difference last time---it really predicted ovulation well for me.

Herby, regarding losing weight while TTC. . .if you are very overweight it can really help (like me with the PCOS). But it sounds like you don't have too much to lose, so I doubt it would make a difference either way....just focus on eating healthily and don't go on any drastic crash diets--if your body thinks it's starving, you won't get pregnant (according to Marilyn Glenville).

I'm all for starting a weight loss thread in conception--I've got a whopping 7 stone to lose! Everything is such a mess due to the move, we're eating really badly now.

Minxi, I apologise for my meddling, clearly my chart reading/predicting skills are back to being rubbish!

A bit of good news today, I applied for my Decree Absolute. I will be a free woman in 7-10 working days. Unfortunately for him, it will arrive right around XH's birthday.

Morning all - CD20 and no sign of O

Claire It's not over yet! could be implantation spotting! temp back up is a good sign, no?

fruitloops hugs for you. I would drive myself batty in 3 months time. 'O' dust for you and for me!

All this weight loss talk is making me feel extremely guilty RE: my tomato and mozzarella croissant from Pret this morning Was annoyed because I was called into a two hour meeting just as I was about to sit down and eat it. When I came out it was cold naturally and not as good as it should've been, which makes the 'splurge' even worse!

herbgarden · 03/04/2008 12:23

I was also worried whether trying to lose weight might be a minus to also TTC? I could really do with getting rid of about half to three quarters of a stone....but have been trying since having DS - not that hard clearly....

I start every day with that good intention to get rid of my muffin belly and fail miserably - I keep thinking that if I get pregnant then I'll "deal with it" later.....at this rate I'll possibly be a year down the line and a couple of stone heavier. Work is the worst - everyone is always bringing sodding cakes in. I have no no no willpower - it's those mini tub things from M & S which are the worst - every time I pop in the kitchen, I pop one in my mouth. It's hard isn't it.

Temp is still hovering at 36.5/36.6 degrees....I will not give in and POAS...it won't tell me anything - I'm only 9dpo.

fruitl0ops2muchchoc · 03/04/2008 08:53

Morning ladies

This is an extremely boring time in my cycle. I was wondering if having an Progesterone induced AF might have an effect on my cycle. I dont suppose it can get any worse though but I wonder if this is actually a 'real' cycle iyswim? I'm just not very optimistic about ovulating. I cant bare to go three months(or prob more) again without ovulation
It really is knackering BDing 'just in case' for three months solid [sigh emoticon]
