Welcome everyone!

I have one ds as do others on here so you aren't alone in having kids!

Who wanted the number for a lady who makes blinds??? I have one in Richmond... Deana Craig, 0208 287 6204 - Last used her about 3 yrs ago but she was good. I have another number and an address if no joy with that one.

Welcome Tinkerbell, I've just moved you up the list a bit so we're in cycle day order (makes it easier to know who to pounce on and demand HPT results!)

Well FF thinks I O'd now, but the third high temp is an adjusted one since I woke up late and had two margaritas last night Don't think I'll really be sure until tomorrow now!

PrePG · 10/04/2008 13:09

Okay lottie I changed my temps to reflect getting up an hour early for every day this week by adding .1 degree as you mentioned and it does in fact make for a MUCH prettier chart ie clear O date and coverline with a sustained thermal shift. Hoping it's accurate! Thanks!

rattling hugs to you I am trying very hard to be happy for friends and family and get excited for new neices and nephews (in fact, the more kids they have, the less protective they get and seem to be v. glad to let me cuddle, feed and play with them! I love to be in charge! ) I'm slightly embarrassed by this, but I think I mostly get an urge to tell people we're trying and that we've had a miscarriage, just so they know we were 'first'...Is that really weird? I guess I just feel like we're being left behind in a sense.

rattling · 10/04/2008 13:01

PrePG - I really hope you never develop my technique. It's basically dealing with it for 2 1/2 years - at about 20 months I found I needed to be happy that babies were coming into my life somehow. Not quite the same but have a very close group of friends, I do picture myself celebrating many birthdays, first steps, exam results, graduations, marriages and even more children.

Lottie - forgot to mention that you made me giggle with your plans to complain about the loss of 8 minutes of relaxation CD. Maybe that's a test - when you get in contact they'll know you need some serious work and swap it for the hard-core version

Welcome tink Hairy I hope we didn't give the impression that we were all bitter and unwelcoming towards those that have children. You don't have to be a first time TTCer to be a temp buddy! Although I feel slightly like a fraud saying that as I'm a newbie here too!

Rattling I'd love to learn your secret for handling pregnancy announcements! I have to say, I'm pretty proud of myself as I've not had one breakdown yet in public. It's at home that I'm not the bravest - poor DH is the one who bears the brunt!

HairyToe · 10/04/2008 12:41

I'm not a 'kit your own muesli' hippy by the wa y - far from it. Just really liked the idea of achieving inner peace and calm, as opposed to inner angst and chaos

HairyToe · 10/04/2008 12:40

I tried a hypno CD last year
"Creating Inner Peace and Calm" by Glenn Harrold. Two main problems 1. His voice was ridiculous 2. No matter how hard I try to empty my mind and listen to the cd as soon as I stop concentrating I found myself ignoring what he is saying and thinking about next week's shopping list or whether I can get away with leaving the ironing for another night.

I've actually been to hypnotherapists before as well and had the same problem. My brain won't let me be be 'hyypnotised' - it just jeeps jabbering incessantly. It's like a subconcious version of putting your hands over your ears and going 'la la la'

Hairy - everyone welcome here. The #1ers have a special thread to moan about greedy women taking our share of the children .

Despite my despondancy(sp?) I am proud to say I have got over my fear of pregnancy announcements. Low point was bursting into tears when my best friend told me she was pregnant - which then meant she kept almost apologising about how happy she was all the way through . Baby is now 3 months old and she is too knackered to care at the moment.

There has been a huge black cloud over my building all morning - hopefully I'm just getting negative vibes from it at the moment. Course might be PMT kicking in at 5dpo

HairyToe · 10/04/2008 11:38

Ah now that I am and expert in. Feckless whinging is in fact one of my specialities...its even on my CV along with gratuitous worrying and neurotic pondering

By the way I'm not sure how to say this but is it ok that I'm here given that I have dcs already and have only been trying this time for a very short time. I don't want to be an imposter given that some of you have been struggling for a while.

I'm happy to stay and share support but understand that people may think (quite rightly) that I can't possibly understand other people's situations.

PrePG · 10/04/2008 11:27

Thanks Lottie He actually said to me 'No offense to your mother, I'm sure she was great, but you're going to be even better' He's a good egg and yours sounds it as well!

I've tried changing my temps before plugging them in, but I keep worrying that I'm doing it wrong, so I end up putting them back to the way they were. I thought Toni W said it should be .2 degrees difference per hour?

Hairy know just what you mean about clothing! We have a wedding to go to in July and I have a great dress that I've only worn once as it was the only time it ever fit me (well, in that it looked good when I had it on). Have vowed I'm either going to fit in that dress by July OR be pregnant! Figured I can't lose either way

Hi everyone hope I did that right!

Just spent 2 hours trying on loads of clothes ordered from my catalogue and they all look hideous. I have to get pregnant soon so I can stop trying to hold my belly in all the time. Plus I now have to send them all back which is going to cost an absolute fortune

Sorry you're feeling despondent rattling. Is there anywhere else you can approach re treatment?

Londonlottie - you're not old! Plenty of time yet. Can I ask what happenend with the test on your profile?

By the way I'm a Pisces - not sure what that indicates as I haven't looked at a horoscope for years!

Morning everyone!

Am very with FF today - it moved my O date to CD24 . But I showed it, I moved it back! Actually, I'm not sure what's going on with it - I've started going back to the gym in the mornings this week, so have been waking up an hour earlier - which should mean that my temps should be higher than they have been. Plus FF indicated temp shift last Thursday, so I'm pretty sure that's correct. I suppose we'll see. Kind of annoying though, as I was hoping to get a better idea of my LP and to see if all of the B6 was working...

AHA! I knew there was at least one more Virgo on here Rattling

Hope this sudden gloom doesn't have anything to do with the 'seeing yourself with baby' thread I started We'll all get there eventually! Baby dust for everyone!!!!

Not a great believer in astrology, yet here I am, yes, a virgo, overanalysing everything.

Went to yoga last night. Loosened up my stiff neck but has left everywhere else in agony.

Just checked out a forum for women attending the hospital I am on the waiting list for IVF at. Sounds like the 6 month wait promised is more likely to be closer to a year - and that's with us paying . For some reason it has suddenly hit me that even that may not work - hope it is only temporary, but I feel a gloom descending

Temp shot up because I'm not well. Hope it doesn't mean that I get another anuvulatory cycle.
