Morning all - I go awol for a couple of days and find a BFP.... well done Hairy

On the subject of lengthening LP's I managed to get to 15 days (up from 12) last month when I o'd early. Not sure if it was all the BD'ing or the vitamins - started on the extra omega 3 capsules. However haven't BD'd so much this month so will report back in a couple of days... I suspect it was the sex

how is everyone? I am determned not to test until officially overdue! but gosh tuesday seems a long time away!

hopefully there are enough of us here to get a few bfps this month! fingers crossed

Hairytoe ... HUGE CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

so very happy for you, you lucky lady!!

hope this is the stickiest wee toe ever

HairyToe · 15/04/2008 20:39

Thank you beanie. Keeping my fingers crossed it stays, although if it does I shall be sorry to leave this thread (although obviously ecstatic to be actually pregnant. That is the point after all ).

By the way I have wondered before what does OH as opposed to DH mean?

sarah - soooo not an expert as I have only recently been tenping but could you be about to ovulate? I have looked at your previous charts and you seem to have a fall in temp just before you ovulate. Could your ovulation have been delayed this month -maybe stress of leaving job? As I said I am a real novice so feel free to ignore me!

beaniesteve · 15/04/2008 20:28

OH HairyToe! CONGRATULATIONS
I've read a lot of your posts. Well done to you and your OH xxx

Temp still going down, now doubting that I ovulated. Anyone want to go the the charts thread and have a nose? Opinions gratefully received. FF is also starting to doubt, I reckon if I have another low temp it will take my O and coverline away!

HT, congrats!

pootleflump · 15/04/2008 19:48

yes Ready - weepootle! Glad you remember me! Hope all you 'old skool' lot will be joining me soon .

HairyToe · 15/04/2008 19:44

I posted too quick - sorry. I meant to say if this works out I really hope some of that luck runs off on you all.

Now stressing out searching MN on 'chemical pregancy' and 'fake positive clearblue results' - obsessed, moi?

Ready · 15/04/2008 19:42

Wow! Congratulations HairyToe

HairyToe · 15/04/2008 19:41

Thanks minxi. I've only been here five minutes and you've all been so nice. It took me a while to get round to temping and then pluck up the courage to 'join in' here - though it looks like it may have brought me some serious luck.

minxi · 15/04/2008 19:35

Hairy fab news - congratulations...

HairyToe · 15/04/2008 19:23

Hi there - cracked this afternoon and did a test....

....BFP!!! .

Very excited but trying hard not to count my chickens after last month (BFP CD28 followed by period and BFN CD29). Although this month I have used a normal Clearblue test - last month when I got the BFP on the Clearblue Digital test I got a negative on a normal Clearblue..

So plan is to wait till tomorrow morning and if no period test again Lots more finger poking (iykwim) in the meantime.

By the way Sorky your period does sound very strange. My period after the CP was not like that at all - pretty normal. And especially odd tied in with your monitor results. Hope it all sorts itself out soon.

Lottie how are you doing? Does your period (see I can use the correct term when I want to ) normally take its time to arrive like this? I usually don't get spotting just 0-60 in one big red rush.

Ready · 15/04/2008 19:18

Tink, have to say, your chart doesn't really suggest you have ovulated. Sorry. There is no EWCM (do you get that normally?) and the temps have not clearly risen to suggest ovulation. Hang in there.

sarah76 · 15/04/2008 19:04

Just trying to catch up!

Clair, our hamster's name is George, as in the Bugs Bunny cartoons where the abominable snowman would grab Bugs and say 'I will love him and squeeze him and call him George'. I've also been doing DP's genealogy and there are tons of Georges, so it's a family name too He is a winter white Russian Dwarf, used to be almost totally white but now that spring is coming he's getting bits of grey on his bottom and head. I really wish we could have a dog. I brought my lab/spaniel cross over from the U.S., but sent him back to live with my friend who has kids when I initially thought XH and I were going to split up 3 years ago. It was the hardest thing ever, but I know it was best for Jack and at least I can see him when I go home. He was such a perfect kids' dog, was wasted on me! I still miss him terribly, but having something furry around makes it easier.

Minxi, sorry you're back at the top but at least AF finally arrived and you're set to try again. Maybe just ovulated late last month? I know what you mean about 'liver'-like clumps, if they are browish supposedly it means its old blood. I tend to get that on cycles where I haven't ovulated, but that certainly might not mean the same for you. Glad my chart-nosing was somewhat useful!

PrePG and rattling, re: short luteal phases, have you tried taking B6 vitamins? I'm on Pregnacare which has 10mg, and taking an additional 50mg tablet from Holland & Barrett. I only had an 11 day LP before, and the first month I took the B6 I had a 13 day LP. Also, as a lovely side effect, my boobs didn't hurt at all during my LP!

Pizza here......posting temp soon, it's gone down again.....

luvingtinkerbell · 15/04/2008 18:33

Hi everyone! On my way out the door to see 27 Dresses with my Mum & wee sis. Still no EWCM although there's mouse-size EWCM here & there ... don't know whether to count that or not. When I say mouse size, don't mean the size of a mouse unfortunately, more like the size of EWCM I would have if I were in fact a mouse ....

Rattling ... sorry to see you at the top again. Like the new plan though & hope you had cream & jam with those scones!!

Lottie & HairyToe ... fingers still crossed for both of you!!

Ready · 15/04/2008 16:42

I went and looked at that acronym thread - couldn't resist - I cannot believe that people get so up in arms about it... does it matter that much?? what a waste of energy

sorkycake · 15/04/2008 16:33

Prepg I'll add myself to your little weird cd1-ish club. I've been to toilet just now feeling ahem, lubricated and there is pink-tinged cm again.

For only being pg for a couple of days my system is certainly playing funny b*ggers with me

It's not blood as such, hasn't been for the previous 2 days.
Is this common for a cp? When is it likely to stop?

I know noone can probably answer these questions I just need to ask them iykwim.

I'm secretly wishing & grinning for you as well, but NO testing until at least a day late!

fym · 15/04/2008 16:20

hi all

feeling very tetchy today (and very fat) - so suspect AF/period on way in the next few days...

What are we going to use then as acronyms????

I like AF and BD as it's short, quick to type and won't show up when people are searching for porn like the real terms might

OP posts:
PrePG · 15/04/2008 12:48

Oh, Lottie Don't get your hopes up if you don't want to but I'll secretly have mine up for you!

I'm not a big fan of BD, AF or preggo (even though that last one's not an acronym) and I hate boobs! and even more t!ts, but if I let my web language be dictated by my preferences I'd never be understood on here! So I just go with the flow (no pun intended! Gosh I hate that word too!) It all serves a purpose!

My period's been really weird, sorry if TMI! But it's way light - I would even consider changing yesterday to 'spotting' instead of light on FF, but I think I'd just be tricking myself into thinking that my LP is longer than it actually is, and then I'd be back to CD1 again...Oh, well, I guess it doesn't really matter in the long run, as I'll just O when I O no matter if it's CD18 or 19 or whatever. We'll just have to BD as much as we can! When I told DH AF arrived he did a big 'YESSSS!' I think he's now officially as lame as I am

xpost with the yellow ready lol.

I don't use af or bd, (don't like hun either) i prefer the actual terms. I'm not going to the thread or i'll post and regret it, just ignore them.

Hoohar! that's a great term, yes I take my temp up the hoohar.

Ooh, that's the reverse of harhoo's of ITNG isn't it? I
wonder if Anne Wood knew that when she named them pmsl.

Good luck to everyone on the brink!
