As some of you gals know I use a persona instead of a cb fertility monitor, but they're pretty much the same thing.

Anyhoo, this month with money burning a hole in my pocket I bought a CB digital OV kit (a little device with 5 or 7 test sticks, can't remember exact amount, for £22.99 in Boots.

It's a great bit of kit, uber-precise and when you hit your surge it gives you a symbol. The only drawback is you can't buy replacement sticks and are then stuffed every month for another whole kit, what a waste!

HOWEVER, today I bought a new box of persona sticks and at 5pm I put on in the CB digi, poas and lo and behold a face.

I realised yesterday the 2 types of sticks looked identical and when I rang the helpline over a faulty reading, the website gives info on Persona and CB on the same webpage. They are obv the same bloody things!!

What this means girls is for £23 (or currently £18.38 in Sainsburys) you get a full kit for one month then you can buy replacement opk sticks for about £8-9, which will last you another 2 months.

Sooooooo cheap!!

Good shagging this weekend! I'm not speaking to DH, and haven't seen him pretty much all week to resolve the argument, but I think he's going to have to put out anyway Wanna try the Zita West suggestion as per FYM!

fym · 25/04/2008 10:49

lottie two thoughts for you - don't tell him its a day - it's a well known thing that performance anxiety can be a result of feeling you 'have' to perform....

secondly (if you can persuade him) viagra? works wonders for occasional performance problems...

Hello everyone!

Feeling a little better that my temp was up again this morning and I got to keep my lines. Fingers crossed it stays that way

Squacky ... good luck for your temp rise this weekend!!

Sarah ... we got into Enterprise after it had already been cut. Scott is & always has been adorable! Really enjoyed the episode that introduced the Borg ... v. cool You really should get into SG ... think you would love it. Lots of great references to other sci-fi classics in it ... Also, very you were at Chester zoo yesterday. Well done on the huge walk & gym session!

Got my 15mins in at lunch again today

Squackycake · 24/04/2008 19:55

It is fabulously simple to use isn't it Lottie?

No squinting or comparing flippin' lines, brilliant. Added bonus of a happy face to tell you to go and shag someone.

It does seem a bit wasteful to not be able to buy the sticks, but I noticed they are exactly the same as the persona ones, which if iirc are the same ones as the CBfertility monitor ones so I'm sorely tempted to experiment a bit next month if I need to.
Persona sticks are about £8 for a box of 8 tests, which for me would give me at least 2 months if not 3 months worth of opk for less than half the price.

The cb ones are about the same I think.

Actually the Persona measures Oestrogen not just LH so they may not be of use, but hey, it's worth a shot, no? The cb may be our best bet.

Hi all don't have long - ds gone to granny's I have wet hair and have to leave the house in 20 mins for an infrequent night out !! Anyway, yes, Sarah ff says I'm 5dpo but I'm not so sure. I had a positive OPK on Sat night and ov pain all day Sunday so I suspect it might have been more like SUnday than Sat but we'll see - so I may well be more like 4 dpo???

Have just got the smiley face, worth the money (looks just like that one)

Ovulation cramps are killer so hopefully it won't be long, cramps are both sides too which is odd as I usually only get them on my right side.

No surge detected this morning, so it must be just starting.

Be interesting to see if my persona registers the same tomorrow.

Does anyone know if you can buy the sticks to go in the cb digi OPK. I really like this bit of kit, I highly recommend it

In fact if I can buy the sticks for it, I'll use this instead of the persona next month, be cheaper too.

Might see a temp rise Saturday with any luck

I just can't seem to get into BSG, not sure why. Usually I'm a sucker for that stuff!

Watched Property Ladder last night and Sarah Beeny HAS TO BE pregnant again! The clips they were showing were dated April 08 which is, um, now and she looked like she was going to pop. Anyone, any explanation???
