Guys

Fyi - if any of you meet all the below - contact your gynae - theyll help after 6 months

If your over 35
Have had a miscarriage in last 6 - 9 months
Havent ever had a child

^ theyll get your gp to prescribe stuff.

Also to anyone that meets the above - other than miscarriage - if u ever very sadly do have a miscarriage - no matter how early - make sure it goes on your nhs record.

Also.
Regarding anyone with pcos
Or anyone who thinks they might have it - if you had a transvaginal scan 8 - 9 -,12 -18 months ago
And your ovaries didnt look polycystic then..
Do get checked again - - things can change

Baby dust to all

If / when i get my next period - il be starting some meds prescribed via gp via gynae

Apart from my last early Pregnancy scan 5 years ago. My last TV scan to check my ovaries must've been about 7-8 years ago. I did mention it the Dr when I went in for my health check back in January and he just said unless my blood results showed a change in hormonal levels I didn't need to have another scan done. The one I had when Pregnant showed my ovaries were pretty much clear but my right one was rather enlarged. No idea what it meant because other than the sonographer mentioning it nothing else was said.

@Lalaland13 that negative chart was a bit of an odd one in terms of the sharp spike up post-ovulation, usually my rise was more gradual like on the positive chart. I definitely found it useful, particularly towards the end of my cycle - usually my temperatures would start to drop a day or two before my period started so useful for managing expectations and not being too disappointed when my period started.

I'm currently back on temping and tracking again now that my implant is out in the hopes that I can figure out where my cycle is and if I've started ovulating...

Lalaland13 · 10/04/2024 10:41

Looks like was a more gradual but mostly increasing - oh I had not idea about bbt when I had my son! Still blows my mind, first month trying he was convieved! We must have been so lucky!

Lalaland13 · 10/04/2024 10:39

Ahh thanks @blackberryhill - strange how when not pregnant your temp shot right up after ovulation but took longer when pregnant? From way I am reading it!

blackberryhill · 10/04/2024 09:34

There's definitely an art to BBT and interpreting your chart, it takes a while to get used to your 'normal' and to start to put everything together. I always like Fertility Friend for charting as their charts were easy to read and their predictions were also usually accurate for me. I've attached two of my charts from first time round - a negative cycle and my positive cycle from DS1.

Probably is okay - went down 0.03 last night.. but yeah I think in general the trend is okay and hopefully increases more! I felt hot last night !!

hope everyone is okay today x

InWithPeaceOutWithStress · 10/04/2024 07:04

I can see a clear difference already though between the temps before and the temps after ovulation so I expect you’re fine. Agree it can be a bit maddening, my app doesn’t “confirm” ovulation until it’s had a few days of raised temperatures, usually 5 or 6 days after ovulation, leaving you in limbo till then.

Lalaland13 · 09/04/2024 20:25

Interesting to track these things if not a little frustrating!

Lalaland13 · 09/04/2024 20:25

Mine is nowhere near as defined as yours - I did have a virus over Easter on 31st and raised temp so that has made it look a bit odd this month. Sunday when I think ovulated was 36.39 and this morning was 36.64… I think in last month it started similar and got to 37.01 by 4 days past ovulation.

thanks for sharing your chart @InWithPeaceOutWithStress

And good luck @blackberryhill hope you can stay with the joy and excitement side of things!

InWithPeaceOutWithStress · 09/04/2024 19:52

@Lalaland13 This is an example of my temp rise. The day I ovulated was 35.43 (the last point in the green). The next night was 35.52; then 35.81; eventually rising to 36.49 7 days after I ovulated. So small gradual rises for me. Does yours look similar?

Ohh that is good to hear @InWithPeaceOutWithStress thank you - I’ve been wanting someone to say that. It sorted of looked like from my history and Google but thank you ! Made me feel a bit better!

the TWW is just torture and waiting for AF when negative tests 😢😢 I always feel like I just want to crack on and know destiny

Good to be prepared eh @blackberryhill !!

blackberryhill · 09/04/2024 16:22

Today's the day - getting my implant out this evening! Got my OPKs ready, Tempdrop armband battery changed ready for BBT tracking, been back on the supplements for a few weeks to start building up...I know in about six weeks I'll be completely over the whole thing and just want to be pregnant straight away, but at the moment I'm briefly excited to be trying again so just going to take a moment to enjoy it 😂

InWithPeaceOutWithStress · 09/04/2024 15:38

@Lalaland13 yes true there is always next month. I find the tww and then getting AF most difficult, then hope’s and optimism can rise again during the fertile window. Re temping - I haven’t temped recently but when I was temping, I found that my temps would rise gradually over a few days following ovulation, rather than necessarily seeing a huge spike at ovulation. I believe it is different for different people.

Lalaland13 · 09/04/2024 13:36

@Daniki Did have ECWM but prob like tues to Fri/sat. When the ovulation tests showed a line.. but since Sunday which I though was when would ovulate not much at all ! I’m still pretty new to tracking temp and I do it on my Apple Watch on wrist some say aren’t that accurate. I don’t know..: it’s sort of showed before a increase, I don’t know when it should rise exactly!

ohh @flowersinthecloud what a plonker! I thought there was a diet for TTC was missing.

oh sorry you’re feeling like that @InWithPeaceOutWithStress - I WFH most of the time and constantly testing stuff. You never know, might not be out yet but if you are there will be next month

flowersinthecloud · 09/04/2024 12:52

AF arrived this morning. My cycles since coming off the pill have been on the shorter side (28, 24 and 25 days). Any advice on lengthening the leutal phase?

@Lalaland13 By pregnancy diet, I meant no alcohol, cutting out certain cheese etc.

Daniki · 09/04/2024 12:15

@Lalaland13 I have to say I'm not familiar with the temping. Did you have any EWCM?

InWithPeaceOutWithStress · 09/04/2024 11:55

AF due tomorrow. Haven’t taken a test yet as feels like a waste and I feel so disappointed when it’s negative. All signs pointing towards AF - I slept poorly last night as too hot which usually happens the night before AF starts. I had a headache yesterday and was hoping that was a sign of pregnancy 🙄 I’m in the office today, if I was at home I’d probs be testing.

Lalaland13 · 09/04/2024 11:26

Ohhh might give the myo thing a try too! Ohh and maybe get procieve too! Will also be rattling soon!

My temp still not really risen this month; higher than it was 2 days ago but only at the line. But I did google and said temp rises a couple of days after ovulation? What do you guys think?! I’m hoping I did ovulate!

Daniki · 09/04/2024 10:44

No I don't but I'm reading you can take it without having PCOS as it has great effects for egg health etc!

worldwidetravel2017 · 09/04/2024 10:42

Im guna start pilaties this month and swim once a week

worldwidetravel2017 · 09/04/2024 10:41

Daniki · 09/04/2024 10:39

@worldwidetravel2017 ah I see, defo better to be safe than sorry! Think I might add it to my collection to try this month 😂

Dya have pcos? They told me low gi foods , and reduce sugar further

Daniki · 09/04/2024 10:39

@worldwidetravel2017 did you say you were newly diagnosed with PCOS or did you already know? If so do you take myo -inisotl? Just reading about it in a group I'm in and it has great reviews

I have a liver condition
So all meds have to be run by liver consultant

Yes i had my suspicions re pcos but cycles are mainly quite regular and i do ovulate & did concieve naturally last yr but early miscarriage

If period arrives - Gynae want me on metformin and inofolic..

I bought a pcos product last summer with myo inostol in but hadnt used it but its 4 tablets daily - gynae say inofolic etc

Thanks though
