Thought it was time we had a new home, seeing as we've almost outgrown the old one. So in honour to Scorpio, Sybil, BB and toomuch (hope I didn't forget anyone ) here we are - in the company of pregnant (and cheerful) ladies

new pics on profile!!

the loola was too square for me, literally the shape square. bug is very sexy.

i have had money comments about it; it often stands out here, because we live in a low wage place, if you earn more it sticks out. I never tell them how much it was, just mention it was a gift from dh and change the subject.

bug is fine for shops, cafes. only thing is i cannot unfold it yet

dh hates it. he is a loola fan. also already mimi wants to sit up and look around but lseat isnt ready for 6 months on the bug. My bug is denim, i adore it, always feel very smart.

i told dh i have to use it everyday; if he had to use something everyday he would want a good one too.

yes am broody but not silly enough to actively ttc yet...couldnt hack 2 under 18mths really. plus dh says no but keeps mentioning it

toomuchtimeonline · 17/07/2008 10:32

Scorps - you are sooooooo broody again aren't you!!?? [naughty face]

Is there anything you don't like about the bug? You had the loola didn't you? Is the bug not really bulky? Does it fit in shop doorways and stuff? Do you feel a bit weird when people look at it knowing it cost so much? I really like the bug I'm just not sure I can convince dh that's it £300 nicer than other pushchairs..

hobnobs - on ivf letter

toomuch - i love my bug. ask away if any Q's

well sorry if TMI but we tried being good last night and the sodding thing split. We are going to just wait & see, we would be happy

hobnobs · 16/07/2008 15:43

Mistlethrush So sorry to hear about threat of job losses at DH's workplace - one extra piece of stress you don't need. . Hope your plans with DH later this week come to fruition

Gilly Thank you so much for your email with all the IUI information. I will reply properly soon. Sorry that selling your house is proving such hard work - it must be frustrating, having to sort it all out from a distance as well.

I've just had a referral letter to Queen Charlotte's & Chelsea Hospital for our NHS IVF attempt which was a bit earlier than expected although it's only an initial assessment (and I realise it could be months after that for treatment). Was a bit confused as I thought it would be the Hammersmith but they seem to be the same trust (Imperial College). The date they've suggested is probably a few days before I finish this cycle of IUI so I might see if I can postpone it to the following week, just in case...

Big wave to Toomuch (afraid I'm not good at fantasy shopping), Sybil and Scorpio (and Ready if you're lurking).

toomuchtimeonline · 16/07/2008 14:46

p.p.s Scorps - can't believe you're already risking number 4

toomuchtimeonline · 16/07/2008 14:45

p.s. just tell me to s*d off if my pregnant state is depressing you at the moment.. I know that this is supposed to be a sanctuary from all that!

toomuchtimeonline · 16/07/2008 14:44

Oh girls.. so sorry about AFs arriving and dodgy potential house buyers and work trouble - sounds like you're all down in the dump at the moment

Very excited about baby toomuchs knitted items!! Only 13 weeks to go [scared face]

How about some online shopping to cheer us up? I am still having the buggy dilema - I know I'm useless! Now how do you do links again.... mmmm...

I'm debating between the Loola.. Maxi Cosi Mura .. or [toomuch whispers] the Bugaboo Cameleon....

[toomuch runs away before the bug argument begins ]

toomuchtimeonline · 16/07/2008 14:34

Hi girls - sorry haven't been at a computer for aaaaaaaaaages!! Hope you are all well.. off to catch up now!

mistlethrush · 15/07/2008 21:22

Ds slept from about 8 months !!!! I was still regularly getting up once or twice a night when I was back at work.

I think I will have another go at jumping dh later on this week.... and, if sucessful, perhaps again at the weekend....

scorpio1 · 15/07/2008 14:15

Mimi is 13 weeks on Friday. i told dh off, im going to get a coil when i have my smear test. Its ok though, it would not be the end of the world at all

Wow i cannot believe Jamie is 5 weeks!! Mimi slept properly from about 7 weeks.

PiggyPenguin · 15/07/2008 14:12

Scorpio, that is a very risky strategy! How old is Millie? Jamie is nearly 5 weeks but sleeps really badly - no worries about new babies in the Vimes household

MT sorry to hear about your worries, hopefully everything will come good.

Exhausted but happy here. Hope to catch up soon when ds2 finally understands the concept of sleepinp!

scorpio1 · 15/07/2008 13:33

MT - sounds like you have had a difficult week

NM - about AF.

Millie is doing just fine; really growing away. I think i want another.....not yet though, lol. DH has his days; i am a bit concerned though - i came off my pill, it was making me really strange and depressed. I am fine now though. anyway i totally forgot that i wasnt on pill and dh just went ahead anyway - and said he remembered but didnt want to use condom! We both know what we are doing however, and of course a new one would be welcomed if we have been so silly.

How are all of you??

Gilly - sorry that house sale causing angst - its really difficult isn't it. I think everyone is feeling a bit concerned at the moment and people might be wanting to wait and see how things go before plunging in with such a big commitment at the moment.

Dh thinks that his job's on the line - firm losing lots of people. So not all contentment in the thrush household.

Good friend at work has just announced that she's 15wks... She has 1.9 yo.

Oh, and the secretary at work has had her baby - very close to my edd....

Gilly I have my scan on 22nd as well (11.30) I was going to email you and see if you wanted to meet up but guess it might not be possible if you're out at a scan as well.

Have spent 7 hours in the car today although nearly an hour of that was stationary on the M4 which was closed because of an accident . Just glad to be home now!

nomoremagnolia · 14/07/2008 16:32

CD2 here as well - we're all in sync!
Toomuch (if you're lurking) babytoomuch has some booties made and I'm working on a small toy too. Am having doubts about the jumper I showed you as pattern isn't all that clear, but I might try to work it out if I'm feeling brave!

Well, CD1 for me. Both excited and a bit scared about the IUI (more about how I'll feel if it fails than the actual treatment). Gilly Was going to email you with some questions and then realised you've answered them all already .

hobnobs · 11/07/2008 17:33

Well done Gilly Roll on 5th August then! Glad you've managed to fit in a few days off in between the two jobs.

MT - all the allergy stuff sounds like a right nightmare! Hope that you get some answers soon.

Everyone else - hope you have a good weekend and that the weather stays dry Can't believe that whilst it rained nearly every day on holiday for us, it clearly didn't rain in our garden while we were away and the few plants that I'd put in a few weeks before are either dead or looking very dried up. Suppose I should have thought of that before I planted them.
