TTC for 10 months should we worry

As the title suggests we have been TTC for 10 months, should we be worried there’s something wrong?

I have been tracking BBT for around 14 months since coming off the pill and have also used ovulation tests so know that I’m ovulating.

Do I just need to be more patient as I know it can take up to a year, but with only 2 months left I’m starting to worry it might never happen.

Does anyone have any advice or success stories of conceiving after TTC for similar time?

I wouldn't worry. It's quite normal to take a year, even over a year, so don't let yourself get stressed there's only two months of your year left. Have you tried lifestyle changes like no alcohol/smoking, exercise, balanced diet? Considered acupuncture, this can really help if you're finding it stressful.

Sorry forgot to mention my age, currently 29 soon to be 30.

BMI is 23.7 so normal but to the higher end.

@jenkh91 thank you for the reassurance I think I do need to think it can happen any time and sometimes it does just take longer.

LH peak was yesterday (Monday) we DTD Saturday and Monday so hoping I still have a chance as ovulation day should be today but DH is away so we won’t manage today.

Like PP said if you are over 35 then go see GP, if not then go after the year. We were TTC for 2 years before I fell pregnant with my DD who is now 4 months old. Had all the testing done and they couldn’t find anything wrong. Also had two failed rounds of IUI and then just before the third and final IUI attempt I conceived naturally. I think it just takes longer for some people so wouldn’t be too concerned. But definitely see GP after the aforementioned time periods as it’s best to get the testing done. Good luck 🤞

Hey @Roseberry22 not a success story for myself (currently month 7 ttc with no luck yet!) but I have two close friends who took 12 months and 11 months to conceive, they were around 32 at the time, and their partners a few years older.

so I’m personally constantly trying to remind myself that it’s ok that it takes time, doesn’t mean it won’t happen

It depends on several factors. What age are you? Different areas have different guidance but in my area if you are over 35 and have been TTC for more than 6 months then you should contact GP for testing. Under 35 you have to be TTC for one year.

There are so many factors to take into account. BMI, lifestyle, hormone levels and a plethora of other factors. We have been trying for a year, I'm 35 and have had all the tests which look good, but my BMI is high so that's likely a factor.
