@Paws4thought totally get that. That's good they will see you though if still positive later in the week. Hopefully means it won't all drag on too much longer for you. 💗

Paws4thought · 12/03/2024 12:49

@SnookyPook I got through to epu and they said if still positive Friday they'll scan and go from there, yeah if I was wanting it to be positive I'd be happy with it, I just want to move on now and can't.

SnookyPook · 12/03/2024 11:54

@Paws4thought oh that's frustrating for you. I remember just wanting the tests back to negative so I could start moving forwards again. They are definitely getting lighter but I do see what you mean - they are very much still positive aren't they. Worst case scenario would be some retained products I guess - hopefully EPU will offer to scan you if still positive by the end of the week just to check it out. They are definitely going in the right direction though so hopefully they might be a lot lighter again over the next few days and properly negative for you soon. It just holds you back mentally doesn't it while you can still see that positive. Sending you lots of love. 💕

Paws4thought · 12/03/2024 11:48

@SnookyPook id definitely ask the midwife to do doppler to put your anxiety at ease, your 20 week scan is coming round quickly.
@Sez281 can't believe you'll be 12 weeks soon too!
@Jadeypie glad AF has been better this time round :)
@xxcxdonxx hopefully you get your peak soon!

I'm feeling pretty down about it all at the moment, want to try again but I'm still testing positive and although its getting lighter I don't think it'll be negative by Friday which is the 3 week mark, ive tried phoning the epu to see what next steps will be and cant get through so stuck in limbo, I'll share the tests see what you think?

Oh @Westy22 what a rollercoaster of a 48 hours or so you have had 🥹 I'm so relieved to hear that about the heart beat 💓 Try and distract yourself for the next 2 weeks now. (That's the day of my 12 week appointment so I'll be a bundle of nerves with you!) Go home and get some rest, I'd say you're shattered xx

Oh this will be a busy week - I'll have my 20wk scan on the 28th!

I'm just feeling a little anxious again the last couple of days. It always seems to ramp up when it's been a couple of weeks since my last confirmation of any sightings/hearings of baby. I think I'm feeling occasional little movements but they're not definitive enough yet to feel conclusive so I'm questioning them. I do have the option to ask midwife for a Doppler listen in so I may do that sometime soon for a bit of reassurance. Think I definitely will before the scan if movements aren't more certain by then as the thought of going in blind with no confirmation since 16wks is a bit daunting.

Hope everyone else is doing ok. @Jadeypie glad AF was kind to you. @xxcxdonxx hope you get that peak opk soon. 💗

xxcxdonxx · 12/03/2024 10:57

That’s good @Jadeypie , sounds like everything is becoming a bit more regular for you.
Thanks @Sez281 no real update from me, no peak opk as yet but hopefully in the next few days.
Can’t believe you are on the countdown to your 12 week scan, where has the time gone?!

DmcinT · 12/03/2024 09:21

@Westy22 oh god what a scare, I’m so glad u got seen and what a lovely reassurance to see/hear the heart beat at this early stage is it over 6 weeks they say u will start to have the heart beat so u might be a few days ahead which would be lovely🥰 lots of plans now for 2 weeks to help th go faster xx

Sez281 · 12/03/2024 08:36

@Jadeypie so glad to hear that it was an easier AF this month. Do you think the pcos meds helped? How long was your cycle? It's great if they are regulating everything 🙌

@xxcxdonxx and @Paws4thought hope you ladies are getting on ok with opks etc 🤞xx

@Westy22 oh what a nightmare you went through!! So so pleased everything was fine and really positive about little baby's heartbeat xx

No update from me ladies seems like af is nearly finished already nice easy one this month compared to last!! Xx

Westy22 · 11/03/2024 15:37

Thank you @Supertrooper101 @Hankthehonk I'm back at work lol need to try and keep normality in my life. I do feel like I'm slowly coming down from such a stressful morning, I'm just going to relax tonight and keep telling myself everything is ok.

ahh we can count down to our appointments together 🤣 @Sez281 Xx

Hankthehonk · 11/03/2024 15:30

@Westy22 so thrilled to see your update, I hope you can hold on to the joy and relief that their wee heart is beating away already, and that the next two weeks go fast for you

Supertrooper101 · 11/03/2024 15:23

@Westy22 all you was asking before was for a little support and reasurrance and no one would help. Then you had to go through that experience to get some help. Really pleased for you and that there seeing you again in 2 wks, but still really annoyed what youve gone through. But anyway, hope your snoozing right now to get some energy back lol

Paws4thought · 11/03/2024 15:17

@Westy22 ah that's fab news and a bonus having a heart beat already too, hopefully you can relax a little now:)

Westy22 · 11/03/2024 13:04

Thanks guys, so pain is possibly my bowels playing up due to coeliac disease and hormones. They didn't seem too interested in that tbh. Doesn't feel real atm x I'll be 7+4 on the 25th @SnookyPook feel happier that I've got a scan date to work towards tho. I'm only 5+4 now but wondering whether I'm slightly further ahead x also got my booking appointment on 3rd April so atleast I'll be checked again before that x

SnookyPook · 11/03/2024 11:44

@Westy22 oh that's wonderful news! And a little heartbeat already! 💗 So glad you've had that reassurance. What gestation will you be by the 25th? Hopefully all will be smooth from now on. Any ideas on the pain? X

Sez281 · 11/03/2024 11:38

Westy22 · 11/03/2024 11:24

So they got a little heartbeat 💓 said its early days but they feel everything looks normal and said they don't want to see me now until the 25th, thought I would cry but I didn't think I'm just drained 🙈 so I'm officially further than last time and we have a little beating heart 💓 x

Westy22 · 11/03/2024 10:12

So after feeling calmer yesterday and feeling happy I got a 3+ on clearblue, I was on the floor at 1am this morning in agony with lower abdominal pain so currently on way to EPU. Feels the exact same as the first time round as I got the pain at 4+2 with that so about 9 days later this time. Not feeling positive at all now x

Oh Westy, so sorry to hear that, that pain sounds horrible. I hope EPU do everything they can for you and that you get some positive news and reassurance. Sending lots of love to you. 💕

Paws4thought · 11/03/2024 10:25

@Westy22 hope all goes well at epu, thinking of you!

Sez281 · 11/03/2024 10:24

Oh @Westy22 I'm so sorry to hear about the pain😢. Honestly it might be totally normal though🙏. My cramps from 4-6 weeks were bad enough that I needed a lot of pain relief and I was convinced AF was coming.. they've moved onto purely digestive now. Have you had any bleeding? I know that you know your own body and are 100% right to go in and get it checked. Crossing everything for you that it will be ok 🙏

@DmcinT love the name! So nice to see you back in this chat and delighted you and Mollaí are doing well.
My wee Rory will be 5 weeks old tomorrow, we're doing really well despite lack of sleep. He seems to be growing and changing so fast already which is lovely but I also want to hit pause!

Hankthehonk · 10/03/2024 10:23

Ah guys I missed the new thread, here was me thinking you'd all been awfully quiet 🙃
Trying to catch up- @Westy22 I really feel for you with your anxiety, I was exactly the same. I am so sorry you're not feeling supported by health professionals, I think I was lucky in this regard. Once my baby was born,my community midwife said she couldn't believe how calm and happy I seemed. She said she'd been worried about me and wanted to check in quickly as I'd been so anxious through the pregnancy. But it's reasonable anxiety when we've been through loss, it's just so sad that it takes some of the joy from pregnancy.

Happy mothers day to all of you (every single one of us, whether we've got living children yet or not, is a mother here in my eyes). Like @SnookyPook I've been thinking quite a lot about this time last year. My miscarriage happened on Thurs 16th and mother's day was that following Sunday. To be sitting here this year with my new baby in my arms is surreal and I wouldn't have believed you last mothers day if you'd told me. Feeling all the emotions, very lucky and complete with my two kids today but still feeling the sadness from last year as well.

Westy22 · 10/03/2024 09:07

Thank you for all your replies ladies I do appreciate you all being angry for me lol x I came home last night and had zero urge to want to go for bloods, I feel calm and like I'm trying to just accept where I'm at in this moment. Realised the OHs bday is the week after next (brain is mush) so I'm gonna hold out as long as pos. That's good to know @Sez281 , I've realised it's only happening after I've eaten and makes sense as sometimes I feel like i can taste sick. Had really bad bloat/gas last night but that's easing now, feeling a bit of nausea and slight boob pain every now and again so hoping it's a good sign x

Hope you all have a lovely mother's day xxx
