@Sez281 its hard isnt ot to know what to do for the best. Wont you have your 16week scan soon? And that will be after the course of treatment so at least that will put your mind at ease 🙂
@xxcxdonxx how did the jab go this morning lol think i would rather crack on with them myself tbh lol

xxcxdonxx · 16/04/2024 16:38

I think it’s more of avoidance than willpower at this stage! It would be amazing to get through these early scans like you guys did but just need to see how I get on now.

@Sez281 fingers crossed they do the job and clear the infection up for you.

@Supertrooper101 that’s rotten you’ve not been given anything, hopefully the swab the DR has taken comes back quickly and they can prescribe something for you.

My main gripe today is my OH giving me my injection this morning, he didn’t do it properly and made me bleed. Think I’ll need to be brave and do them myself now 🤣

JM1997 · 16/04/2024 11:08

@Supertrooper101 thank you for checking in! My AF came last week and finished yesterday, so I am just looking forward to going into the next cycle now. Fingers crossed for this one 🤞🏻 I hope you are well and having a lovely day!

Sez281 · 16/04/2024 11:01

Aw @Supertrooper101 don't feel silly for getting checked out. You were right to if you were concerned. My GP likes to refer to it as a "precious" pregnancy. Not that every pregnancy isn't but especially those after loss or that are high risk. Hope your uti clears soon 🙏

My GP said I have an infection and has me on antibiotics and steroids ( I've read mixed things on steroids in pregnancy 😕 but i have to trust her that it's important to clear the infection and it's only a 5 day dose)

@xxcxdonxx You do have serious willpower but are right to stick to the same place so you know exactly what the changes are. I really hope time goes by quickly for you 🙏

Hope everybody else is doing ok xx

@xxcxdonxx you have a good mindset and alot of willpower haha.... did they hell lol they said we will send it off to the lab and let me know. Least the drs give you sumat in the meantime lol
@SnookyPook tbf i was best of going to triage so i ges were lucky we do have that as an option

xxcxdonxx · 16/04/2024 09:21

@Supertrooper101 yeah I’d naively hoped I would get an ‘everything looks great’ which in reality was never going to happen at this early stage. It all just feels similar to the last time when I had to go back multiple times so making me feel nervous. I’m not going to get a private one, I need a decent comparison against yesterdays and regardless of what a private one would show I’d still need to go back to epau so I’ll just wait. If things do progress as hoped I’ll maybe get a private one before the 12 week scan just for that reassurance.

That’s good everything was ok. It’s great when you start to feel movement but then just another thing to have to monitor. Did you get something for the uti?

SnookyPook · 16/04/2024 09:10

@Supertrooper101 it's really wrong how much care varies depending on where you are! Glad you pushed on and got seen though - especially with having an infection. Hope all clears up nicely for you. X

Supertrooper101 · 16/04/2024 08:08

@xxcxdonxx do you think you will get a private one in between? Like you say, your doing all you can.. like the others have said, all depends on when you ovulated etc etc, but i can imagine your a little gutyed regardless. Am your two little ones will keep your mind occupied tho lol
@JM1997 how you getting on, was you in your tww?
@SnookyPook wish mine was that accomadating lol ive been feeling off a few days had started feeling movement last week n half then nothing so asked to have a check over. They were too busy and said i should be going to triage not them anyway..... pretty sure the last m/w said you can see us anytime lol amyway am plsd i went up there anyway. Your there for ages but there very thorough. Showing a uti and dr did a swab too to send off. Listened in and felt the stomach cos thats been tender as hell latley too. Said all ok. This morning, full own nose bleed lol when i was there tho there was two others, 39+ and 38+ worried about movement. Felt abit of an amature at my stage 😅
@Sez281 how you getting on, did you manage to get some meds from the dr?

xxcxdonxx · 15/04/2024 11:53

Thanks ladies, the relief lasts for about 5 minutes doesn’t it?!
I’m just worried that they haven’t seen enough development for where I should be at this stage based on people seeing heartbeats really early on but I guess only time will tell.

I’m stocked up on medication though so im
doing everything that I can to make it work xx

My last mc baby was due on my wee girls bday and that’s coming up in a few weeks so I think it’s all just heavy on my mind.

Sez281 · 15/04/2024 10:49

@SnookyPook Aww I'd imagine the anniversary of finding out has subconsciously triggered your anxiety. I don't think it will ever go away completely will it 😔 I'm so glad that you were able to go get checked out so quickly, sounds like the little lad was just playing peek a boo! 😂 So amazing to hear that you've reached 23 weeks 🙌💖

@xxcxdonxx I completely forgot you had your scan this morning. It's really reassuring to hear that everything is in the right place. I totally get the worry though but as @SnookyPook said she was in a very similar boat so hopefully you're the same 🙏 The main thing is to try and distract yourself as much as possible before the next one. Easier said than done I know!

Thank you guys ❤️ I feel so much calmer now but imagine the nerves will kick in as I approach the NHS scan on the 30th x

@SnookyPook I can imagine how anxious you must've felt, I totally understand though and probably will feel the same as I approach my date next month. So glad they were able to reassure you and all is well. Thinking of you today ❤️ 23 weeks though 🥰

@xxcxdonxx glad they've finally seen you at epu hopefully the next scan will show more progress for you and as @SnookyPook said could just be late ovulation 🙏 I have everything crossed xx

SnookyPook · 15/04/2024 10:13

@xxcxdonxx aw glad the scan was ok. Remember my very first one measured me a whole week behind and I've stayed on that trajectory. Hopefully just a late ovulation/implantation combo for you. Good you've another scan booked in already.

Yes, it's weird. I sometimes think gosh if that one had worked out I'd have a 5 1/2 month old by now and would be through all the pregnancy stuff and the sleepless early days! Instead, here I am still in the middle of it all. But as previously mentioned, I'm sure when this one gets here I won't be able to imagine it being anyone but them in our family. Just odd sliding doors moments isn't it. Even wondered like what if that one had been a girl... How would it have been different etc... all pointless thoughts but sometimes just pop up. Xx

xxcxdonxx · 15/04/2024 10:07

I’m sorry @SnookyPook , I can imagine that regardless of now having another healthy pregnancy growing away that the sting of the previous mc ever leaves. That’s great that you were able to pop into your midwife base to give you that reassurance and that your little one played ball ☺️

I’ve just had a scan at epau, I should be 6+4 according to lmp but measuring about 5.5weeks. She was only able to see a pregnancy sac and yolk sac at this stage but trying not to get too caught up in that as I know it’s early days. Now waiting on the Dr to come and sign off on a blood thinner I’ve to take and I’ll be back in 2 weeks for a follow up scan. Relieved and worried at the same time!

SnookyPook · 15/04/2024 09:36

Morning ladies! Another week begins!

Today is the anniversary of finding out about my MMC last year. For some reason I'd got quite superstitious about the date, even though I'm so much further on this year. It wasn't helped by waking in the night and not feeling little man moving. I was awake for about an hour and went to a bit of a dark place in my head. After dropping my son at nursery this morning I popped into my midwife base which is along the route home. They kindly listened in for me. Little man was hiding a bit but was there and his heart sounded strong. Towards the end he even kicked the Doppler a couple of times for good measure. Feeling relieved.

I've been doing so much better lately that this little anxious moment caught me off guard a bit. Anyway, thankfully had my reassurance now. 23wks today!! Absolute madness!

Hope everyone else is doing ok? Any updates? Xx

Paws4thought · 14/04/2024 21:28

Hope your good x

Supertrooper101 · 14/04/2024 11:00

@Westy22 is it today your scan 🙂

Supertrooper101 · 13/04/2024 14:55

@xxcxdonxx so how would that midwife explain ur loses and sticky bloody results 🤦‍♀️.... keep doing what your doing lol
@Sez281 well thats shit... yours drs good isnt she so am sure she will sort you out. Did you wean off those pessaries or go cold turkey? Wonder if that made a difference. Hope younfeel better soon 🙂

xxcxdonxx · 13/04/2024 13:54

Aww @Sez281 sorry to hear you are feeling so rubbish. Hopefully you can get something at the GP. I didn’t know about the progesterone headaches, another joy to look forward to!

Yes I’m still on them. Interestingly when I spoke to a midwife at the epau, she said it was really unlikely to have had two ‘normal’ pregnancies and now have this sticky blood so wouldn’t suggest the aspirin and heparin. I’m not stopping it until told otherwise though!

Sez281 · 13/04/2024 09:03

Ah I'm glad you've got the scan booked for tomorrow @Westy22 That'll speed the time out nicely before the NHS one. My OH is the same and doesn't see the need. But in fairness he knows what I'm like and has found ultrasound clinics beside where we'll be in Spain "just in case" 😂

@xxcxdonxx that's typical about the sticky blood test! Are you still on progesterone and aspirin? You have enough to cover you till you see somebody?

@Supertrooper101 can't believe you're 17 weeks. I'd say your friends have definitely sussed with you not gyming it or smoking 😂

@SnookyPook how you feeling? Lots of movement these days?

@Paws4thought hope you're out of limbo at this stage one way or another 🙏

@Jadeypie hope fertile week is going ok and you're nearly in the tww!

I'm smothering with this cold/chest infection and have horrendous headaches ever since I came off the progesterone (which is a side affect I didn't know about) I could deal with it just about but the cough is so bad that it's making me physically sick. I can't believe I made it to over 14 weeks with just nausea and now I'm puking 🙈 I'll definitely be hitting the GP on Monday, maybe I can get a safe antibiotic or something 🤞
