@xxcxdonxx really sorry you're in a bit of a dark place with it all. I think @Sez281 has said it perfectly. I really hope you're wrong and will keep hoping on your behalf. We all know how much the fear can take hold during those first weeks. I really do hope it's a different outcome for you this time. Sending big hugs 💗 xxxx

Sez281 · 23/04/2024 17:46

Aww @xxcxdonxx I'm so sorry. God you've been through so much 😔 I know you know your own body and you're probably right to lower your expectations but you really never know. The sickness could be a symptom and the bleeding could be a haematoma or something.🙏 I totally understand where you're coming from though, and I also get you wanting to wait until the epu date. How much longer is it? Really hope you're ok and have good support/distraction xx

I’m going to be a bit of a Debbie downer on here, sorry to bring the good vibes down 😫
After my bit of spotting the other day, yesterday I felt really nauseous which is unusual for me. Then later in the afternoon the spotting returned and was quite a
bit heavier than it had been and looked like it was more red in colour too. I was so convinced I was going to miscarry last night, I hardly slept and kept waking to check. It didn’t really come to much and has
been on/off all day.
Called epau and they suggested to stick to my original appointment next week so they can check growth and be sure of the outcome basically. Although it’s a nervous wait I’m kind of on board as the last thing I want is to have to go back multiple times.
So I just need to wait it out now and if it gets any heavier to call them back.
I’m pretty resigned to the fact I’m going to miscarry again which is sad to admit but I can’t see this going any other way.

xxcxdonxx · 23/04/2024 17:29

That’s brilliant news your scan went well @Sez281 , delighted for you! Now you can really switch off and enjoy all of that glorious sunshine. Hope your last week at work is kind to you.

So glad you are feeling reassured @SnookyPook and that you were treated so kindly. It does sound like your boys are just petite and extra cute. It’s good you will get the extra scans too just to keep on top of things.

Sounds like your appointment went well @Jadeypie and that things are moving in the right direction for you with your medication.

Jadeypie · 23/04/2024 14:04

@SnookyPook yeh I had a good talk with her and she made some good points tbh. Awww that's cute!! Glad your feeling more settled now too 😊 Boys names are so hard I think xx

SnookyPook · 23/04/2024 12:46

@Jadeypie we've got a lost of names but not settled on one yet! All definitely feeling more real now though and he feels like a proper little person now! Can't believe how big he's getting on the scans (even though he's a small baby 🤪) She couldn't do a pic of his whole body this time - its more zoomed in on his upper half 😃 x

SnookyPook · 23/04/2024 12:44

@Jadeypie ooh sounds like she was quite helpful and proactive - are you happy with how you've left things? Keeping everything crossed for you. You are on your way to answers and hopefully your little rainbow baby will be along soon 💗

Jadeypie · 23/04/2024 12:32

So my gp thinks it's good that I'm having af each month. She said the pcos causes hormones fluctuations which can cause the spotting and cycle lengths over the place. She said everything is perfect on my last ultrasound so she's not worried there either. She's upped my metformin. But she thiks ive got a bowel problem and that's what's causing my pains ect so I'm getting tested for all kinds there. And she's also told me to speak to my endocrinologist next month when I'm due to see him about my hormone fluctuations. She thinks it's positive that I'm in the 20 cycles instead of the 40s which is true. Anyway let's see if this higher dose of metformin brings some miracles haha xx

@Sez281 your 5wks is gona fly by.. all that sun and warmth i am SO jelous lol not even turned my heating off, the weather is so pathetic here 😭....
@SnookyPook i think you said it right there..... your little lad was small and wasnt even picked up on, am wondering if theres more caution these days, which is good. You will probably have these extra scans till birth now. And you have triage 24/7 there for you if movements slow down so have that as peace as mind too. Itl be fine 🙂

Sez281 · 22/04/2024 18:39

Awww @SnookyPook she sounds so nice. I guess to us they're just black and white but she must see the extra cute ones when doing so many a day and yours probably stand out ☺️ I'm so glad that you're not too worried as it sounds like they're not...and sounds like you do just make dinky babies 🤷‍♀️🥰 Also its great that they're going to keep scanning every few weeks just to stay on top of it 👌 xx

Isn't the maternity leave thing kind blowing, I'm required in court a lot for my job. Some cases can take months/years to come to fruition. I'm getting dates for the end of this year and I'm having to say I probably won't be able to attend (even though I still feel too early and I can't get my head around it) We got a "save the date" for a wedding in November this year too, very surreal! 🙏😂

SnookyPook · 22/04/2024 18:10

Evening all. so... update on our scan with foetal medicine today... He's still dinky (3rd centile!) but seems very strong and healthy. They want to keep an eye on us though in case of fetal growth restriction so another scan in 3 weeks. No evidence of placental or viral cause for size - all looked healthy (placenta, amniotic fluid levels, blood flow to baby etc all great). Still leaves a possibility of genetic cause but she didn't seem to think this overly likely and wouldn't advise amniocentesis at this stage anyway due to risk of preterm labour. Most likely, especially given my first son's birth size, is that I just make dinky baby boys. In fact, tracking his trajectory on the growth chart, he would be very similar birth weight to my first son - it just wasn't picked up for him as nothing flagged at 20wk scan! So... I'm reassured overall. Still got a bit emotional and she was really sweet and said "I know after recurring loss you just want to hear that everything is absolutely fine and this throws you a bit as it's something else to worry about... But I'm not worried. He seems like a really happy baby in there" She was so lovely and kept saying how cute he looked (which made me laugh as it was just black and white images of bones... Haha) She was basically as reassuring as she could be. 🙏🏼💙

SnookyPook · 22/04/2024 12:41

Brilliant news @Sez281 - that's wonderful to hear 🥰 With you on the checking out of work front! I've got a countdown calendar to my Mat Leave now and it's suddenly looking quite close! 😮 Was also in a massive 2hr meeting on Friday about one of our big projects and it was all stuff that will be happening while I'll be off and they're having to cover my parts - I felt momentarily guilty and then just completely relieved 😂

Sez281 · 22/04/2024 12:34

Thanks all, everything is looking well thank god!☺️That's it now until my big scan at 20+3 when I get back from holidays towards the end of May 🙏. I'm actually not going away for another 10 days but I feel like I've checked out of work mentally already as it's been so stressful there lately that I've decided that I'm on the wind down from today 🤷‍♀️😂

@Jadeypie and @Paws4thought hope the tww is going by quickly for you ladies🤞

Paws4thought · 22/04/2024 10:09

@Sez281 @SnookyPook good luck with scans today 😊

Westy22 · 22/04/2024 09:30

Thanks guys, yeah I'd say the last 3 weeks it's felt like it's gone a bit quicker, it will drag this week though just so I start over worrying 🤣 so bizarre last night OH said "whens the Baby's next scan" and I literally had to get him to repeat it lol felt so strange hearing him acknowledge it 🤣

Ahh good luck with your scan too @SnookyPook so hard to keep up 🤣

@xxcxdonxx my mum and sis know and a few close colleagues in work, can't wait for it to be out there and not hide it anymore 🙈

@Supertrooper101 ah I have all them lol my nose has been congested since day one 🤣 bleeding gums only kicked in about 2 weeks ago.

Keep going faint today, think it's coz it didn't have my usual crunchy nut which is full of sugar 🤣

SnookyPook · 22/04/2024 08:35

Thanks guys!

Aw @Sez281 I'm sure all will be absolutely fine! Enjoy seeing little lady again 🥰 The n holidaaaay.... So jealous! 😩😂 Sending us some photos of sunshine!!

@Westy22 aw congrats on 12wks!! Agree with the others, that feels fast! Bet it doesn't to you though!! Not long until official scan time now! 🥰🙏🏼☺️

Sez281 · 22/04/2024 08:27

Wow @Westy22 12 weeks, that's after flying in! Such an amazing milestone. Hopefully the few days before your scan goes quickly 🤞

@SnookyPook good luck with yours today, hopefully everything has caught up now, I'm sure you'll get some reassurance either way x

@xxcxdonxx how are you feeling? No more spotting or anything? Is it this week or next for you?

@Supertrooper101 if the heartburn gets bad I can't recommend omeprazole enough. I've been on a small dose since about 7 weeks and it worked wonders 👌

Have scan at 11am. This is the most nervous I've been in a while. I know logically that feeling so great the last few days is completely normal at this stage but it's just so unsettling not feeling pregnant any more 😣 Hopefully it goes well then I can go off and enjoy the next few weeks in the knowledge that it's all ok 🙏

xxcxdonxx · 22/04/2024 08:17

Good luck with you scans today @Sez281 and @SnookyPook

Congratulations @Westy22 on 12 weeks! Have you told anyone or waiting until your next scan?

Supertrooper101 · 22/04/2024 07:49

@Sez281 hope today goes ok. Am not on anything prescribed for heartburn, just rennie...for now....lol
@Westy22 12 wks, for some reason yours seems to be going so quick lol yeah headaches, bleeding gums, bunged up lol
@SnookyPook your back today arnt you? Heres hoping his caught up a little 🙂

Westy22 · 22/04/2024 07:09

Good luck with your scan today @Sez281 💓

Just hit 12 weeks, never ever thought I'd get here 🙏 feels surreal, scan next Tuesday so another week to go for some more reassurance.

Glad you mentioned headaches @Supertrooper101 lol I seem to be getting a few of them 💤

Good luck in the TWW @Jadeypie @JM1997 🤞

Hope everyone else is doing okay 🙏 just on my way to work.....already wishing the day away 💤🙄

Jadeypie · 20/04/2024 11:02

@JM1997 definitely recommend premom ap to log your ovulation sticks I use the easy@home ones so much easier to see. Once you start seeing a rise text twice a day to catch your peak. Xx

JM1997 · 20/04/2024 10:21

@Sez281 thank you for those tips. I am using Flo to track my ovulation and fertile window, and doing an ovulation test every other day leading up to my fertile window, so fingers crossed I don’t miss the ovulation day! I’ll try the lubricant as well!
