That’s ok @Westy22 I’m sad for myself but delighted for you guys 🥰 you have all been through so much and deserve to share your happiness!

Supertrooper101 · 30/04/2024 14:35

@Westy22 it will be a boy, youve had it far too easy 🤣.. i remember you saying you wasnt havent the genetic testing etc didnt know you were holding out on that too.. as if your sis said that. Is she trying to imply your devious like that lol she will.proper be uploading your scan pic for a discussion on what it is lol

Westy22 · 30/04/2024 13:31

Thank you guys 🥰 I panicked a bit when I posted the pic, I hope it didn't trigger anything with anyone. I got lost in the moment 🙈

@jt130593 lol I couldn't believe the legs 🤣 definitely taking after dad with those, feel like it looks long in general tho, I have a long body too so totally makes sense lol

@xxcxdonxx I find it bizarre that it looks like that and I can't feel anything yet. Those long legs are definitely going to let me know it's there soon enough 🤣

@SnookyPook it was very comfy, the amount of shaking I had to do because it didn't want to budge was quite funny thought she was gonna make me start star jumping 🤣🙈

@Supertrooper101 do you think? Maybe because its so stretched out lol we're not finding out , however there is another pic where I feel the nub would indicate its a boy 🤣 my sis is trying to make me find out secretly but I can't do that lol

Supertrooper101 · 30/04/2024 13:12

@Westy22 he/she looks so much 'older' than 13wks! Are you going to wait till your 20wk one for the gender or do a private one at 15 🙂 lol

jt130593 · 30/04/2024 12:11

@xxcxdonxx god what a journey you’ve been on! Sorry to hear about your losses.
I think I was quite naive when I fell pregnant first time, it’s only since going through that and joining a few baby loss groups that I’ve now heard about chemical pregnancies! Didn’t know they existed beforehand!

SnookyPook · 30/04/2024 12:02

@Westy22 aw lovely news 🥰 What a great scan pic too! They look super chilled and comfy in there 😄💗

xxcxdonxx · 30/04/2024 11:45

@Sez281 it frustrating, I am angry amongst all the other feelings and can’t stop with the ‘what ifs’. Not that they are helpful in anyway.

Even though I’ve been on this thread for so long, I’ve really enjoyed reading everyone’s updates so thought I’d add mine in @jt130593 .

I’m 38 and have a 5 and just turned 3yo. They were both conceived first go and at a time I didn’t even realise early scans were a thing! We decided to try for no.3 Dec 22 which was a chemical. I then fell pregnant in Jan 23 which was a mmc, I found out end of March. It took me 4 months to then fall pregnant in August which unfortunately also ended in MC end of Sept/early Oct. Had another chemical in Jan this year and found out I was pregnant with this one in March which does looks like it will go the same way unfortunately.

Hope that your first week back at work is going ok xx

xxcxdonxx · 30/04/2024 11:38

@Westy22 that’s amazing news. What a great scan pic too 🥰 So mad to think all that growing and stretching is going right now inside and you can’t feel it!

jt130593 · 30/04/2024 10:26

@SnookyPook your right it makes such a difference! My partners manager has not been as understanding and accommodating and it has massively effected his grieving in my opinion.

@Westy22 ahhh such amazing news!! Congratulations 🌈 bet that was such a relief for you!
They really do look so long on that scan photo 😂

Westy22 · 30/04/2024 09:44

All is well 🥰 baby measuring bang on 13+1 and due 4th November. It was being very awkward and didn't want to move so I was scanned whilst laying on my side and it finally stretched out 🥰 looks super long 🤣

SnookyPook · 30/04/2024 09:02

@Westy22 hope scan goes well this morning! 💗

@jt130593 so glad your boss is being so accommodating. It makes such a difference! I know what you mean too, after that initial intense grieving period you kind of want/need something else to focus on a bit but you can't always manage it. Phased return sounds perfect. Also sounds really hopeful for trying again and great that they will give you extra monitoring etc. You're right, I don't think there'd ever be an easy time to be pregnant again after loss, even if you waited 10 years!

jt130593 · 30/04/2024 08:21

@Supertrooper101 we had cytogenetics done on the baby and there was nothing, so was just one of those things unfortunately. Which is positive for us TTC, but I feel like I’d be able to accept it more if there was a specific reason!
We’ve been told that if (🤞) we fall pregnant again we will be under fetal medicine and have extra scans up until they can be as confident as possible that there is nothing wrong then we will be discharged and follow the normal pathway. So that’s a positive that we’ll have that for some reassurance.
I know being pregnant again will be mentally difficult, but I think whether we waited 2 months, or 7 years it would still be just as tough so thought we’d just give it a go and see what happens!

jt130593 · 30/04/2024 08:15

@Sez281 sounds like you’ve had a rough journey with it! But congratulations 🌈 have you had extra scans for some peace of mind?

Supertrooper101 · 30/04/2024 08:15

@SnookyPook i think superstition has a big role in it all lol plus i dont like ppl fussing so less time equals less fuss lol i rekon your newbie boys gona rule you all 🤣
@Jadeypie if you can get into ur drs i would get a referral anyway. That will no doubt take a few mths for an appt anyway. May aswell get the ball rolling on it. Seed cyclling...knew i had forgot the main bloody one! Yeah think we both did..and pre seed lube... its 2tbs pumpkin seed and flaxseed up till ovulation then 2tsbs sunflower and seasame after that... am sure its that way round. Aldi do the bags of ground flax. Best to keep the flax in fridge too. Thing is your on hormone meds tho and the seeds alter the hormones so for you i would maybe just do the 2nd half for the progesterone boost. It does say 10+ lp phase is healthy tho so i can imagine u getting fobbed off asking for help on that. U may need to blag it dowb to 7 or 8 days lol on another forum ppl rave about it starts with the egg book to give you n your partner a boost. But your only young so not sure thats worth the pennies for you lol
@Sez281 my iron is now. Ferritins still higher than average but manageable... i dont eat much red meat so ges that helps control it. You all packed and ready to go or are you a last minuter lol
@jt130593 good your work place is understanding. True about hiding away it came make things worse. Youve done really well to get back on it. Is what happened just one of those things or will you have extra support/meds to prevent check kind of thing so you have peace of mind this time round?

Sez281 · 30/04/2024 07:44

@xxcxdonxx it must be so frustrating especially as you say you have two already. Something obviously just needs a little tweak but I totally understand your hesitation in trying again, it's heartbreaking.. take some time and enjoy the time with your little ones. Are you still looking at houses? That could be a lovely distracting project 👌x

@Jadeypie I meant to reply about your spotting. It definitely could be a sign of low progesterone. My short LP turned out to be my issue. I on ow yours seems average but definitely might be worth looking into! X

@Paws4thought I'm glad for your sanity that AF has arrived. Also you can get the tests now. Hopefully there's no issues and you get lucky and catch again soon 🙏 x

@Westy22 good luck with the scan today! Another milestone passed 🙌 x

@Supertrooper101 is your high iron under control? I don't think that's the issue for me. I assume I'll find out before I go on hols on Friday 🤷‍♀️

@SnookyPook I can't believe you're 25 weeks. July/August is going to fly in! 🥰

@jt130593 welcome to the thread. You definitely have a lot to catch up on! 😂 I'm so sorry for your loss, I can't even imagine going through that😢. I'm glad that you've had time to process and are now in a place where you can actively try 🌈 xx

I guess I'll add my story to the mix so you know where I'm at! 😂 I'm 41 with no children (only met OH during covid) came off depo injection in summer 2022. We weren't actively trying at that point but not preventing (still tracking but not obsessing). Found out I was pregnant at the end of Jan 2023 but unfortunately in March 2
'23 had MMC at 8+3 which required medical then surgical management. Cycle returned to normal in May 2023 so started really trying then (obsessing in my case 🤯) Had a chemical in July 2023. Towards the end of last year started fertility investigations due to my age. (All our results were ok so unexplained infertility) I Was due to start taking meds in February cycle and then IVF not long after but after giving it "one last shot" naturally in January we managed to catch it and I'm now coming up on 17 weeks 🌈 I'm still terrified that something will go wrong but every day that passes I relax a tiny bit more 🙏

Jadeypie · 30/04/2024 07:32

@SnookyPook you know what they say about second borns 🤣🤣 I crnt believe how quick the times gone since starting this thread none of us even no each others names haha well I think mines quite obvious 😅 xx

@Supertrooper101 yeh the Dr did mention it but I'm getting these tests done out the way al speak to the endocrinologist maybe he will refer me. You and @Westy22 done that cycling seeds didn't use? What seeds did use use? I might give it ago. I'm already taking vitimins ect feel like all the tablets I'm on these days I need a pill box gahah xx

Spotting is taking so so slow to kick in really annoys Me it's like my af doesn't want to start but my body's like 'yep you are' xx

jt130593 · 30/04/2024 06:55

@SnookyPook yeah luckily my manager is very understanding. I’m doing a phased return and just doing what I can each day, some days I quite like the distraction and focus on something else so do quite a few hours and other days I only do a couple and then log off! Just felt like I needed a bit of routine back, I’d laid in bed/on the sofa for 6 weeks and kind of felt like that was starting to make me feel worse!

SnookyPook · 29/04/2024 23:21

@jt130593 I can imagine. And it's still quite early days so go easy on yourself. Has it been ok getting back to work? And thank you, yes, last year was very draining! We're having another little boy 🥰💙

@Supertrooper101 I know! I'm quite curious about this little man! 😄 Aw it's a bit weird when you've been in your own bubble for so long. Do you think you're still a bit superstitious about sharing the news or has it just become a comfortable secret? Haha people are going to be amazed when you get round to telling them and you're already well into 2nd trimester! 😂

jt130593 · 29/04/2024 22:02

@SnookyPook
thank you it’s been absolutely shit if I’m being totally blunt 😔
I can only hope I have some of your willpower 🥲 thinking if I just don’t have any tests in the house then the urge won’t be there as much!
Im so sorry to hear about your losses, that must have been such a tough time! Congratulations on your rainbow 🌈 do you know what you’re having?

Supertrooper101 · 29/04/2024 22:01

@SnookyPook i still like your story, wonder what his like in years to come, cos he had every intention on being here didnt he regardless of you habing a break that cycle haha
@Jadeypie didnt realise it had been over a year for you with nothing inbetween, why dont you ask for a referral to fertility now? Spotting pre period is your progesterone declining to quickly before the esteogen kicks in. Only thing for that drs wise is those lovely pessaries lol active form b6, p5p i think. Probably wrong on that name, but its meant to help too.
@Westy22 i think ive got stuck in my own little bubble and its hard to get out of now 🤦‍♀️... least your scans in the morning so your not nervous all day. I booked the 1st one they had this time round lol

SnookyPook · 29/04/2024 21:20

Evening all! Lots to catch up on today!

I'm good thanks @Westy22 - 25wks today!! 🥳 Oh wow, can't believe it's your dating scan tomorrow! Completely get the Scanxiety but I'm sure all is fine 💗 Looking forward to your update.

@Paws4thought @Jadeypie good to hear you both sounding positive and with tests etc on the horizon. Hopefully some helpful answers which will help the next little bean to stick 🤞🏼

@jt130593 welcome and so sorry to hear of your loss. I always think TFMR must be especially tough to get through mentally. It's good that it's shown you and your DH where you're at though with wanting to start a family and hopefully next time will be your rainbow baby 🙏🏼 No tips for tww.. I was actually one of those crazy people that was quite good at waiting for AF... Not really sure how.. I've always had quite strong willpower 😂

My story very briefly to help you catch up (can't believe how long I've been chatting with these ladies now - it's a really friendly thread!)... I have a 3yr old son. He was conceived 4th cycle and straightforward pregnancy. Super grateful as it was lockdown and can't imagine how hard losses would have been at that time. We wanted to start trying for a second around his 1st birthday, except my periods hadn't come back still after having him. Eventually fully stopped breastfeeding, periods returned straight away, and 3rd cycle fell pregnant. Was so happy as I had thought it would take longer as I was 37 by then. Unfortunately it was a MMC in April last year. Then had a CP early September, then conceived again straight away but had a MC end of October at 7wks. Took a bit of a battering and decided to have a break from it all. Stopped tracking, was waiting on a referral to a fertility consultant... And this little surprise happened. Currently 25wks! 🙏🏼🌈

Jadeypie · 29/04/2024 20:40

@jt130593 no just medically thank God! Flos never been right about my fertile days but I like to track on it still, have been since 2017! Premom has been the best prediction wise for me I use both ha Xx

@Westy22 dating scan wooo!! another mile stone 🙂 will be checking in tomorrow. Yehh I'm like that when I go on the missing list for a few days come back to ten pages by the time I've caught up. I've lost track, hahh xx

jt130593 · 29/04/2024 20:27

@Westy22 im driving myself mad already and im only 2 or 3 DPO 😂

sorry to hear about your MC. And congratulations! Good luck with your scan tomorrow, I’ve got everything crossed for you

jt130593 · 29/04/2024 20:18

@Jadeypie sorry to hear about your ectopic. Did they have to remove your tube as well?

@Paws4thought sorry to hear you’ve had to go through that twice! That must have been tough.

I’m 31 in 2 weeks, first pregnancy, I gave birth on 14/03 at 17 weeks. We both wanted kids but kept putting it off and saying oh next year, after that holiday etc. then fell as a total surprise in December (non fertile day according to flo). But I think it happening like that was the best way it could have and it showed us both that we are actually ready now and absolutely desperate to be parents!

Westy22 · 29/04/2024 20:16

@xxcxdonxx just read your update 💔 I'm so sorry about the way things appear to be going..as others have said I'll keep hoping for a little miracle for you but i think it's right to prepare for the worst outcome x

@Sez281 enjoy your hols and I hope things are much better for you, my friend had a similar issue with her heart during her two pregnancies but not sure why x

@Paws4thought Glad your feeling alot more positive and your body is hopefully getting back into a routine 💓

@Supertrooper101 how you feeling about the 20 week scan? Can't believe you haven't told anyone lol

You seem to be in a much better frame of mind @Jadeypie....hopefully you'll get some more answers in the next few weeks 🤞 hopefully not coeliac...coz you can say bye bye to really nice food 🤣

How are you doing @SnookyPook

@jt130593 welcome! It's a busy little group lol I miss a few days and panic about how much I have to catch up on 🤣 good luck in the tww it's the worst I have no advice as I was a crazy early tester. My story....37, early MC last May with my first pregnancy....have tried ever since and was referred for further investigation due to age but got pregnant in Feb and I'm currently 13 weeks 🤞 major scanxiety and have had 3 scans already (2 epu and 1 private)..with my official dating scan tomorrow morning x
