How is everyone?

I'm approaching the 14 week mark on Monday and feeling massive, my stomach bloats up the second I eat. Someone actually approached me in work and asked if i was pregnant because they could tell...imagine if I wasn't 😱 when does the bloat subside? Don't get me wrong I have no core muscle so may well be that there's literally nothing holding anything in and I've always had bloat issues due to my sensitive stomach. Also have an issue with a varicose vein behind my knee 😱 I've had it for years from always working in retail but it's definitely playing up now lol gp has basically told me then in a few months I'm going to need extra time sat down in work 🤣 that's gonna go down like a lead balloon with my boss. For now I've got to wear a compression band over my knee and thigh and elevate as much as possible 🙈 considering I've had a fairly straight forward first trimester I feel like my old body is falling apart 🤣🤣

@SnookyPook that must be such a relieve knowing viability is a high %, hopefully a good few more weeks to get everything ready, have you got names in mind?
@xxcxdonxx glad you're getting to have a little break, it's so tough to deal with. I'm about 6dpo, so just trying to stay chilled about it haha

Great news that he is coming along nicely and you are starting to get ready for his arrival xx

@Paws4thought thanks for checking in, I’m doing ok thanks. Feeling a bit bleurgh but that’s to be expected. My mum and dad have the kids for a few days so it’s nice to have some quiet time!

Morning all! Sorry forgot to update yesterday. Still solo-parenting and it's been intense! Haha. Little man is doing well still. Still keeping more-or-less to his centile (possible very slight increase). Amniotic fluid still perfect levels and blood flow etc looking good so that's a relief. Hubby won't be getting home to a newborn on NICU 😂 Next scan in a couple of weeks. Third trimester now imminent! Can't believe it!! Viability stats from 28wks are around 80% I think so feeling lots more positive! Think we're at the point where he's just plumping out and getting his lungs stronger now which is a great feeling. I've actually ordered some furniture and started sorting moving my son to his new room so I can work on the nursery now. Eek!

@xxcxdonxx How are you feeling? Hopefully they won't take too long to give results!

@Paws4thought no they didn’t mention how long it would take and I forgot to ask. I’m sure epau will be in touch soon asking me to take pregnancy tests so I’ll ask them.

@Westy22 that made me laugh, I’d no idea you could even do that. A little boy is lovely. I didn’t find out with either of mine. I was so sure my wee boy was going to be a girl though, people actually thought I already knew and I was completely wrong. Second time round I didn’t even guess as my instinct was obviously rubbish! I’ve never used a pillow either so can’t recommend one I’m afraid.

@Sez281 glad all was well on your scan. Hope you are enjoying your last week away, lap up all that lovey sunshine.

@Westy22 I never had a special pillow when pregnant with my son and I've not had one this time either! I think I'm pretty lucky in terms of sleep though as I don't seem to get the discomfort lots of women talk about. I'm usually a side sleeper anyway so maybe that helps.

@Paws4thought my Mum is going to come with me 😊 I had a slight freak out about movements this morning but had a big snack and a cup of tea and lay on the sofa for a bit and suddenly he was bodging all over the place so that was a relief!! I'm mostly ok at the moment but occasionally freaking out in case at one of my checks they announce that they want him out asap and I've not got anything ready 😩😂 Highly unlikely I think but hey 🙃

@xxcxdonxx thats good to hear, you can move on now and just see what the results say and go from there
@Jadeypie you jusy need a fertility one now to add to it lol .. domt know about these special pillows lol keep looking at them but telling myself pillows and the quilt acheive the same thing lol always habe back acje when i get up tho so clearly not lol
@Westy22 lmao....so.was it ur oh who actually didnt want to know the sex or anything and you just went along with it lol do you rekon youl be able to keep that secret now amd after then haha

@SnookyPook will you take someone with you to scan or doing this one alone? :) doesn't feel that long ago that you got your positive test either, funny how time can go so slowly but so quickly at the same time.

All went well today and was in and out within the hour. I started to bleed in the waiting room and had a bit of a panic they would send me home to wait it out but it was all fine and maybe made it a bit easier that it was starting on its own anyway.
Just glad to have it done now and not have the worry hanging over me of something happening when the kids were around x

Hi everyone we have all been quiet haha I've been enjoying the sun well untill the rain started been doing the gardens painting fences ect.

Gearing up for ovulation soon @Sez281 not abit well tho and dtd is the last thing on my mind right now ha.

I've got all kinds of aps coming up endocrinologist next month and the gynaecologist too so I'm happy they have come through. Bloods have been done for the crohns and celiac. Basically feel like I'm getting a good check with the three departments ha.

@Westy22 would 100% recommend the pillow especially for later on too when your all uncomfortable and crnt find a comfy spot in bed haha. 15 weeks wow that's gone so quick!! Xx

@Sez281 haha I can't believe I'm 15 weeks either 🙈 I'd say since the 12 week mark it's flying. Lovely that you got to see baby and everything is good 😍

@Supertrooper101 sooo I have a confession...I sent my scan pics to early glimpse to see what they come back with gender wise 🙈🤣 not said anything to anyone inc OH and sis 🙈 and It's obvs no guarantee but they come back with 99% confidence it's a boy lol I've said from day one tho it would be a boy so it's just made me more confident I'm right 🤣 it makes no difference tho as I'm still buying neutral clothing x

I'm convinced I'm starting to feel some movement at night lol is it too early? More so when I turn over, it's a bizarre feeling. I know everything's getting squished in there so it could be gas etc but just seems a bizarre feeling.

Also when would you guys recommend a pregnancy pillow? X

@xxcxdonxx thinking of you. And good they are testing. As Sez said, just to rule things out at least!

@Sez281 great news on the scan! And lovely you can now relax a bit ahead of the 20wk one. Haha I know what you mean, those scans always freak me out a bit too. Hope yours was cute though 🥰

@Supertrooper101 yeah third trimester is from 28wks. I was 27 yesterday 👍🏼 Just got to get through today at work and then I've taken the rest of the week off. Really feeling the urge to nest now so want to get some sorting done of the bedrooms etc! Got to get a report finished before that though and struggling to concentrate 😩😂

@Westy22 definatley gets bigger as the day goes on dosent it lol am around 21-22 now
@SnookyPook it was a relief they kinda new lol i was thinking you were 27wks this wk? Or does the 3rd start from 28wks 🤔..
@xxcxdonxx even if the test results come back normal at least there paying more attention to whats been happening and may have a solution, suggestion at some point. Just strange why all that now.
@Sez281 5d 🤯 didnt even know that was a thing! Did you get a pic from that one lol have you still not felt any movement? She must be booting your back instead lol

Aw 15 weeks @Westy22 , it seems like everyone’s pregnancies fly by once they hit 12 weeks. I’m sure your bump is coming along nicely 😊

I knew I’d get everyone’s dates mixed up @Supertrooper101 . You must have a proper bump by now so there would have been no surprises for them!

Can imagine your exhaustion @SnookyPook , your MIL sounds amazing! I’m always falling asleep in beside the kids too with my dh waking me up. Hope all goes well with your scan this week.

Thanks everyone, I’m sure it will be fine. They’ve said that they will do genetic testing this time and hopefully because it’s a more controlled environment they should be able to collect enough to do that. Might not make any difference but might give some indication if there are any abnormalities.

Ah nice to hear from everyone! I'm solo parenting since Friday night until early next Monday as my DH is off in Morocco on the final excursion for a postgraduate diploma he's doing!! So I've been a bit distracted/exhausted 😂 Thankfully I've got a great support network around me. My MiL picked my son up from nursery today then cooked us dinner and bathed him before driving us home at bedtime and I fell asleep while I was putting him to bed 😂 One week left of 2nd trimester! 😲 Next scan is Friday morning so will get to see how little man is doing and if he's podged up at all!

@xxcxdonxx hope all goes well today. Will be thinking of you. Definitely remember that feeling of just wanting the physical side of things over and done with. Hope it all settles quickly for you and that you're as ok as can be.

@Supertrooper101 it's ment to be my 16 week appointment 🤣 but for some reason has been scheduled late due to bank holiday etc. I was going to ask for it to be moved but figured there's not much happening at it so don't think it makes a difference.

Ahh you've finally told people lol how far are you now? I've started to develop a bloat/bump 🤣 its not so big when I wake up but the minute I eat its huge 🤣

@Westy22 your set up is different to ours ours is at 16wks lol your not finding out the sex are you?
@xxcxdonxx mine was a cuple of wks ago lol
@Paws4thought told my parents and eldest.....there were no suprises there 🤦‍♀️ haha although my eldest did wonder if i had just got fat lol

@Westy22 your pregnancy seems to be going by so quickly!!
@xxcxdonxx hope the procedure goes OK tomorrow and is a straight forward recovery for you, hopefully your hormones will settle quickly too 🤞

I'm back in the tww, hopefully will get blood results soon and keeping everything crossed for a positive test!

I'm fine, 15 weeks now feel like my energy levels have returned a little bit and I'm able to focus on work etc more. We've told most people now so it's nice that it's not a secret anymore, don't see my midwife till I'm 18 weeks and 20 week scan date has come through so its starting to feel like it's moving much quicker x
