@Westy22 how many weeks are you now? Would you be classed as full term if baby decides they're ready?
@SnookyPook we're both really nervous, I'm hoping for the best but struggling to imagine it going differently to the last 2 times, i guess trying to protect myself a bit.

SnookyPook · 13/10/2024 16:38

@Westy22 just catching up as not been on here for a few days... Oof! All sounds a bit stressful! Remind me what gestation you're at now? I can't believe you are still going in to work! Don't feel bad about starting Mat Leave a few days early if these last shifts seem unbearable. I don't think anyone would think badly of you!! Hope all is ok. Just take it as easy as possible. Almost at the finish line now 💗

@Paws4thought good luck for tomorrow - how are you feeling about it? Sending big hugs.

@xxcxdonxx all the best for the move! Always something so lovely and exciting about a fresh start in a new place!

@Supertrooper101 @Sez281 hope you and the little ones are doing well 🥰

Westy22 · 13/10/2024 08:13

No nothing @xxcxdonxx @Paws4thought I was back in again yesterday after work due to increasing pain and lower back ache, so they wanted to check babys heart rate...all was well so they said I'm either getting nerve pain or just increasing pregnancy pain with braxton hicks 🙈 picked up some blood in my urine but doctor didnt seem too concerned as im showing no signs of infection, so im like can blood from my cervix go in my urine? Lol can you tell im so ready to give birth. I'm just going to ride it out and hope the real deal kicks in soon. X

House moves are the worst, hope it goes well @xxcxdonxx ive no advice in progesterone as theyve never given it me but definitely worth asking about xx

Good luck with your scan tomorrow @Paws4thought 🙏

Paws4thought · 12/10/2024 20:15

@SnookyPook that's good to know you bled more with Sammy but he's here and healthy, hoping it's actually a good sign for me.
@Supertrooper101 I've got scan booked for Monday, I probably could have gone sooner but wanted to get past the 8 week mark as think I'll feel more confident going forward if it's still OK. Yeah morphology was 2%, wasn't sure if that could contribute to mc as count was a bit low too, I've got a lost of vits lined up if needed tho :) how are you getting on?
@Jadeypie glad to hear you've made your decision and you're content, must have been hard but hopefully you can pop the heartache of ttc behind you.
@xxcxdonxx good luck with your move, are you going far? 3 weeks will fly by! You're good doing opk with that going on, think I'd be too stressed haha. No idea about the progesterone but as our bodies produce it naturally I can't see what harm it could do.
@Westy22 sorry to see you've had a scare, did they say what the tightenings could be? Hopefully they'll give you light duties for your last 5 shifts!!
@Sez281 hope you're settling into mummy life well x

xxcxdonxx · 12/10/2024 12:08

Did they give you any more information on what was causing the pressure/pain? @Westy22 I’m glad you only have 5 shifts left, sounds like you need to put your feet up!

No news here, we move in just under 3 weeks so all focus is on that just now. I’ll start my opks in a few days too.
Random Q, has anyone ever been told about any effects of taking progesterone over a period of time? I’m conscious I’ve been taking it for a while now on and off and questioning if that’s ok? I’ll call the consultant next week and check it out just in case.

Westy22 · 11/10/2024 20:57

How is everyone? X

I'm experiencing lots of niggles, on day 5 of regular tightenings now and feeling lots of pressure and stabby pains aswell as the lower back ache. Went back into work yesterday as I was so bored at home, but regretting that slightly lol only 5 more shifts to do 🙏 x

xxcxdonxx · 08/10/2024 19:01

It’s lovely to hear from you @Jadeypie and I’m glad that you are settled in your decision.

I’m sure that you already know but just incase… you are absolutely not a failure. For some strange reason, the world just had other plans and it’s not meant to be. Whatever is best for you and your family is 100% the right decision.
We’ve given ourselves to the end of the year, that will be two years since we have been trying and realistically I can’t go on anymore. Like you, I’m getting more and more used to our family as it is just now and want to enjoy it and not having this hanging over us xx

xxcxdonxx · 08/10/2024 18:52

Glad to hear you are home and the doctors are happy with what they have seen today @Westy22 . Maybe your midwife tomorrow can explain more when it’s not so frantic in the hospital.
Hope you manage to get some rest, you must be running on nervous energy!

Westy22 · 08/10/2024 18:06

So I failed the first one this morning and the doctor came to see me and basically said they need to see it more stable, she said they were airing on the side of caution and weren't necessarily thinking get baby out but could react if needed so said I had to go for another one, got me my own room etc and started it again after I'd eaten, they come in like 30 mins later and was like you've passed that one and doctor is happy for you go lol said to see my midwife tomorrow about birth plan and she will check again and then they want to see me next Tuesday for another routine check now x it's been the longest two days 😫 still feel like they haven't been entirely clear, doctor talked about the high heart rate whereas midwife said the computer wasn't happy with decelerations and accelerations saying baby was remaining too steady like it was reserving energy 🤔 even tho the heart rate was spiking and baby was moving alot. Anyway I'm home and grateful there not getting baby out just yet xxx

xxcxdonxx · 08/10/2024 17:50

That’s understandably given you a
bit of a fright @Westy22 . How did you get on today?
Hopefully you’ve not had such a long day and everything looks ok xx

Supertrooper101 · 08/10/2024 13:03

@Westy22 i had the same one time. It took an hour for the machine to be happy. Its more advanced than pen and paper and am guessing over the years the midwifes have said yes, thats fine, am happy, when really things wernt ok. So much more caution is in place since 10yrs ago as the midwife said bad things have happened which could have been avoided. Just go with it and see what they say but its better to be monitored more than left to it i think

Westy22 · 08/10/2024 08:10

Morning, yesterday was such a long day they let me come home at 8pm on the understanding i go back this morning I was monitored on a ctg 3 times and baby wasn't meeting their criteria, really confused tho as they said on paper baby looks happy but the system that analyses the data failed it every time. Heart rate has come down but they could see my womb was tightening quite frequently which baby was reacting to...which again they said was a good thing. I think initially they were trying to establish if I was going into labour but obviously I didn't lol even tho the tightenings were quite strong, I kept being asked if I needed pain relief based on what the ctg was measuring but to me it wasn't painful just a sensation..very bizarre. So yeah I'm going back this morning and have been told that if it fails it again they need a plan 🙈 I was so scared they were going to announce yesterday that baby needed to come out 🙈 it's given me some anxiety as I don't really understand what baby isn't meeting on their criteria, but telling myself the doctor wouldn't of let me go home if he thought there was a risk. X

Supertrooper101 · 07/10/2024 13:20

@SnookyPook yeah it was the 35+ one.. maybe made another group or just ffound other ones lol
@Sez281 the newborn phase is scary isnt it. Myne was full of mucus and now with all had a cold, am not sure if its still mucus or a cold. Shes gagging and swolling so am wondering maybe reflux too. She sounds like shes grunting like a pig when laid down too and hurts when she trumps.. so much going on at that age 🙁. It is hard to sleep or relax when your constintly on edge. And choking is my biggest fear, always was with my other two. Has your oh got 2 wks off to help you?
@Westy22 you defo need to take it easy now else youl be giving birth whilst stock taking lol hope hospital goes ok and signs you of work lol
@xxcxdonxx maybe when your settled in your new place properly and relax and enjoy the new surroundings it will just happen for you 🙂. Mite happen at xmas when your mind is taken of it with two excited little ones lol
@Jadeypie its such a shame as you had so much lined up for help 🙁 am pleased your at ease and if you do change your mind i wish you luck x
@Paws4thought did you ring for another scan? I eould have thought they would have you in regular to monitor you anyway. Maybe you could ask if that would help any aniexty? Is that the morphology thats 2%? My oh at the time was 4% and his dr said to try not focus on it. There are alot of supplements to help sperm tho if you did ever need them for him again. Seems easyer than sorting our egg quality out thats for sure lol

xxcxdonxx · 07/10/2024 11:16

Oh @Westy22 sounds like baby might be making moves!
Thinking of you 🥰

Westy22 · 07/10/2024 11:04

So baby is head down but I'm on my to hospital to be monitored as babys heart rate is currently over 170 so midwife isn't happy. Blood pressure was high too but that come down, hopefully all will be OK. She's not even done my birth plan she was like I want you to go now 😱🙈 been getting some strong twinges in my lower back in the last 2 hours but telling myself that's just general pressure xx

SnookyPook · 07/10/2024 08:21

@Jadeypie just seen your update - lovely to hear from you. So glad you are at peace with your decision. I'm sure little James is gorgeous and will thrive from getting all of Mummy and Daddy's attention! 💗 I think sometimes just finally making a decision and not having to be in limbo anymore does the world of good. Sending hugs xx

SnookyPook · 07/10/2024 08:18

@Supertrooper101 hmm... Now you mention it, not seen any updates for a while! Was it the 35+ group?

@Sez281 aw bless you, that sounds tough! Just cos we are so grateful to have our babies after loss, doesn't make the tough times any easier! Just helps to have that gratitude to focus on when you're losing it in the middle of the night!! Hope little Sophie gets less mucousy soon and you can all get some better sleep 🙏🏼 Sammy is 11wks old today!! 😲 Not sure I'd say we've got a routine down exactly. Still winging it mostly and going with the flow 😅 But definitely understand him better and able to read his moods and needs better which helps.

@Paws4thought sorry you're experiencing the ongoing spotting. It's just not what you need in an already anxious pregnancy! I bled more with Sammy then some of my losses and here he is so it really doesn't have to mean anything. Keeping everything crossed for you. Hope they agree to that scan around 8wks too.

@Westy22 hope baby is behaving and in a nice cephalic position! I don't know how you're still doing your job at this stage! Superwoman! Definitely rest as much as you can over the next couple of days. Glad you've only 1 week left to get through then!

@xxcxdonxx sorry about AF - especially given you'd possibly seen a whisper of a line. Hope you're feeling ok, and hope you manage some well timed dtd this month despite Hubby having to go away! X

Jadeypie · 07/10/2024 08:16

Oh wow there's so much to catch up on!!

Congratulations @Supertrooper101 and @Sez281 on the birthday of your sweet little babas ❤️❤️ delighted for use only feels like yesterday use got them bfp xx

@Paws4thought delighted you got your bfp truly deserved and hope everything carries on in the right direction xxx

@Westy22 Take it easy misses!! Retail is no joke when pregnant especially now your replacement is in take your feet off the gas haha hope mat isn't too far away xx

@xxcxdonxx I totally get that feeling I was the same, it becomes so frustrating and undeserving xx

@SnookyPook aww those pesky needles cause havov glad the boys are doing well tho xx

As for me I've been looking after me and getting udt to the Decision we made that our little James is enough for us. It was hard at first because I felt like a failure and giving up (I never give up on things) but it's the right decision for us as a family and I feel content now xxx

xxcxdonxx · 07/10/2024 07:38

Ah @Sez281 lovely to hear from you and glad to hear that you got home. I hope little Sophie’s mucus clears shortly and she is more comfortable in sleeping and you can get some rest too.

How are you? @Paws4thought I know the spotting must be a worry, there just no clear cut answers in this process which makes it so difficult. Hopefully you can get another scan scheduled.

All fine here, AF arrived again though 😫 Thought I might have been in with a chance this month and not sure if I seen a whisper of a line at one point or that I’ve got crazy line eyes. My OHs away for a few days this month and of course its around my fertile week so hopefully we can time it!

Westy22 · 07/10/2024 07:37

Glad to hear your home @Sez281 is there nothing they can do to help clear Sophies mucus? Xx

I'm doing okay, hit a new level of exhaustion the last few days and have cried a fair bit lol my boss is trying to take the pressure off me but with stocktake tomorrow I still feel it, my replacement has started tho so hopefully that should make things better. I'm on day 6 today of my 7 day week and feel like I'm getting a cold again 😫 two days off after tomorrow so I'm just going to rest...then ill only have a week left before i finish. 36 weeks today and see my MW this morning about birth plan etc hopefully baby is in a good position today....it's definitely gone transverse a few times this week 😱 x

Hope everyone else is okay xx

Sez281 · 07/10/2024 05:25

Thanks everyone 🥰 The last few days have been a blur to be honest. Because of the super fast delivery Sophie has a lot of mucus (common in sections and quick births) it's meant that I've had little to no sleep in almost a week (apart from a couple of nights in the hospital when the midwives took her for a couple of hours) it's impossible to sleep in case she is choking 😣 We're home a couple of days now and between the cluster feeds and that we're living on pure adrenaline.. totally besotted though! 💖
@Supertrooper101 I did buy a new born tomee tipee grow bag but haven't had a chance to try it yet. On the rare occasion she's able to lie on her back without puking we've just been using cellular blankets.. Hope you're doing ok? X

@HopeAndStrength great to hear from you, hope all is well x

@Paws4thought So sorry to hear of your bleed but so thrilled to hear your update about the heartbeat 💓 xx

@Westy22 Hope you're doing ok, please tell me you've eased up in work a little? X

@SnookyPook id imagine you're in a lovely little routine with Samuel at this stage? I'm very jealous if so! 😂

@xxcxdonxx hope you're doing ok. I'm sure the house stuff is keeping you busy but I really am hopeful if you do actively ttc again 🤞

@Jadeypie hope you're doing ok lovely xx

Paws4thought · 05/10/2024 16:27

@Supertrooper101 yeah this one was extra cause of bleed, they cancelled the one tomo but said to call if wanted another for reassurance so I'll call Monday to see if they can fit me in the week after as I'll be just over 8 weeks then so should see a big difference if all OK. I'm still spotting brown everyday, hoping it's just normal for me. I've switched progesterone to rectal on their advise but can't say it made much difference to spotting, what will be will be I guess.
My OH has sperm results back and they showed lower than average count, good motility but 2% normal, apparently 4% -14% is the average.... Google says this would make it harder to get pregnant but not necessarily increase mc chance, it's something to look into if things go wrong again tho.
How are you getting ok?
Hope everyone else is doing OK 🙂

Supertrooper101 · 05/10/2024 14:41

@Paws4thought was this scan extra cos of the bleeding then? Has everything settled down now? Is your other one on monday? Hope it goes well.
@SnookyPook remember that other group with that worldwidetravel person or sumat? Have they created a new one do you know? I was curious how there all getting on lol

SnookyPook · 05/10/2024 11:23

@Sez281 aaah congratulations on Baby Sophie!! So glad she is here safely and sound! 🥰 Hope the first few days have gone well! Xx

Supertrooper101 · 03/10/2024 12:47

@Sez281 awww well done and such a nice name. I wanted sophia but my eldest wouldnt let me lol bloody growth scans, how can they be so inaccurate lol i had to go out and buy new smaller stuff lol dont forget if your putting her in a grobag to sleep, minimum weight is 8lb 8 for the standard ones unless you get a smaller one. I forgot all about this!
