Ah dunno why u missed you @Sez281 work keep telling me to just do what I can but I like to do a good job so always put alot of pressure on myself 🙈 I'm taking advantage of additional breaks etc now tho and trying to take myself off to chill out. When do you plan to finish? I'm already on countdown lol

I have bloods again next week and I'm also praying the protein in my urine hasn't increased 🙈🙈

Westy22 · 06/08/2024 18:29

Ahh lovely to hear everything is good @SnookyPook can't believe how fast time is going and Samuel is 2 weeks old!! I bet its a massive change for big brother but the gifts are making it more fun 😂 lovely how he's telling everyone though 🥰 hope your well? I've heard alot about how fast the cord can actually turn white recently so I know it doesn't necessarily have to be that long.

Lovely to hear your updates @HopeAndStrength glad your little one is thriving 🥰 I love chunky babies! I can imagine in the moment most people accept the vitamin k injection, will mention to OH see what his thoughts are.

@Supertrooper101 lol at you casually throwing in that your 33 weeks!! I've read alot around measurements being so wrong so wouldn't worry too much, understand its frustrating tho waiting for another scan. My babies belly was measuring in the 80th centile at 20 weeks and nobody batted an eyelid lol don't see my midwife till Monday so will hopefully find out where they think I'm measuring bump wise 🙈

@Jadeypie ahhh 6 dpo, we all liked to pretend we were calm in the tww, I'll happily analyse tests with you tho 😂 keeping everything crossed x

I'm 27+1 today and absolutely shattered, weekend off was lovely but a wedding sober whilst everyone drinks was not fun 😂 feel like I'm getting alot more braxton hicks now 😳 and my bump is definitely aching more, might start wearing one of those support belts 😂

Sez281 · 06/08/2024 17:55

@Jadeypie ugh 6dpo is torture, proper limbo land! Hopefully the next few days fly in! So great that you've all your investigations coming up too but hopefully they won't be necessary 🙏

@Westy22 hope the work stress has eased a bit! I'm literally doing the essential stuff and making sure the new girl is as up to speed as she can be, I think they realise I could have gone already so nobody batting an eyelid at my hours. Can only imagine how tough it is in retail though 😣

@HopeAndStrength so lovely hearing that he's flying it! 💪

@SnookyPook I think older brother presents will definitely be expected from him for a while 😂 he'll probably also automatically gravitate towards your hubby over the next few months as you have to focus on baby a bit more but it willl all even out over time ☺️

@Supertrooper101 I don't think I'm too far off you measurement wise. I'm 30+4 today and baby seems to be measuring 1.9kg so just over 4lbs 🙈 Consultant seems to think it's perfect but my my calculations if she continues on this trajectory she'll be a whopper (I was 10lbs2 so probably shouldn't be surprised! 😂) How are you feeling in general?

The consultant has upped my BP meds, I didn't realise I was on the lowest dose so hopefully they do the trick (and ease my anxiety testing it all the time!). I've had more bloods taken to rule out preeclampsia so hoping it's just hypertension that can be managed 🤞

Hope everybody else is doing ok x

@Supertrooper101 when having my son they was very inaccurate they was saying he was going to be tiny for full term he come out 8.3 so I'm a bit sceptical with it all tbh xx

@SnookyPook aww how cute he sounds like he's doing great with the big change it must be hard for toddlers considering they are still figuring out how to deal with emotions ect. How are you doing? I always wonder what the transition from one to two would be like xx

I'm 6dpo tww crazies has kicked in!! the bloody tests r in the post and I'm like ffs what happened the Mrs Zen 🤣🤣

SnookyPook · 06/08/2024 00:12

@Supertrooper101 oh wow.. so you'll be term by time of next scan?! (Sidenote - can't believe how far along you are!!) Seems crazy if they have concerns! In our case it was very accurate but I guess we'd had so many it painted quite a clear picture! He was 5lbs7oz at 37wks - so 2nd centile. I know for many others they are less accurate - particularly for larger babies it seems. I guess lots of babies must be long boned but less chubby than the algorithm would suggest?!

Big Bro is doing really well with the baby and is proudly announcing he has a baby to anyone who will listen. He has been quite emotionally volatile in other ways though and is currently expecting a present every time he sees people as they've all been giving him things and he's got used to it!! I think he's struggling a bit to process his feelings about baby bro in relation to his more general feelings if that makes sense. But he is happy and singing to him and calling him cute etc so hopefully all heading in the right direction!

Hope everyone else is doing well 🥰

Supertrooper101 · 05/08/2024 18:35

@SnookyPook sounds like everything is good :). Hows his big bro copeing? Lol
How accurate was your growth scans weight wise... had one today at 33 ish and is weighing a whopping 5 12, bellys of the chart too so got to have this g.d test... annoyed tho cos the scan nxt should be in 2 wks but it isnt cos there fully booked and then its bank holiday so i have to wait another 4wks. Seems alot given the circumstances 🤦‍♀️..

HopeAndStrength · 04/08/2024 20:44

We did the vitamin k injection too @Westy22 - not sure what happened with cord clamping as I had an emergency c section so everything went out of my head apart from baby being delivered safely.
He's a big chunky boy now, wearing 9-12 month clothes at 6 months old.
I'm so pleased to hear about Samuel @SnookyPook - it sounds like he's settled in so well.

SnookyPook · 04/08/2024 00:02

Hi all! Lovely to hear your updates! @Westy22 we did vit k and did with my previous pregnancy too. No issues. Also requested delayed cord clamping although this isn't anywhere near as long as you might choose with a home birth etc - especially if you end up with a C-section as obviously the longer they leave it, the increased infection risk. I think the stats regarding how much blood returns even with a delay of just 3 mins is pretty incredible!

Samuel will be 2 weeks old on Monday!! Madness! We ended up staying in hospital for a week as he had quite bad jaundice which required phototherapy but he's on the up and up now, feeding beautifully and gaining weight well. Almost back to birth weight now. The family are all completely in love with him. He is so cute 🥰 I'm just pleased and relieved that everything you're told about your heart expanding and finding more love with a second is indeed true! Can't imagine life without him already. My recovery is going really well too.

Hope you're all well xx

Supertrooper101 · 03/08/2024 10:55

I had the injection and tbh, in the moment, you do want everything out, but ive never read into it tho and am wondering if doing the delayed cord thing, it will all need to be natrual anyway? What reasons did they say not to have it? Thats bullshit about work, its the new strain you have on your body being at work whilst getting bigger, not bloody hormones. If you get sick pay, take a couple weeks off! Well thats a bore from your oh lol they only focus on the face for a 4d scan so would never venture down there anyway tell him.
@Jadeypie arr so theyl be doing the prep work then youl have your apt shortly after the last test 🙂

Jadeypie · 02/08/2024 13:15

@Supertrooper101 still waiting for the fertility consultant ap but I've had the bloods done ready for that and just had my appointment for the scan with the dye at the end of the month so seems like everything is going ahead xx

@Westy22 thank you xx

Westy22 · 02/08/2024 11:40

@Supertrooper101 I was aiming for 2 weeks before but I may go sooner considering how stressed its making me and if one more person says its because hormones and pregnancy ill scream, there finding it easier to blame my hormones than the fact there is literally no support. @Jadeypie retail is literally the worst place to be atm.

No didn't end up booking a scan as OH is convinced he will be able to tell the gender lol my ankles were like elephants yesterday 😂 thankfully back down today but probably swell before I finish work. So Doula said she recommends until cord turns white or plancenta stops pulsing as that's when it's done its job and has pushed the blood through to baby, I'm going to discuss with MW as I would like to go aslong as we can, I thought it was up to an hour but I think sometimes it's quicker. It's my decision either way regardless of what the MW wants lol

Is everyone going with Vitamin K injection? A few have mentioned to me not doing it so need to read more on that.

@Jadeypie don't loose hope, it definitely will happen for you ❤️ atleast the fertility support is coming xx

Supertrooper101 · 02/08/2024 09:38

@Sez281 did they say what could have made her heart rate high in the 1st place... good your not an anxious person, am the opposite lol mines been transverse every time, only recently shifted to a normal position but doubt it will last lol i must be the only one preferring the heat lol
@Westy22 when do you think youl stop work? Did you book a 4d scan? Youve defo got the right mindset about birth, most new mums are scared lol sod wearing heals, trainers all the way. I cant decide if my legs n ankles r swollen or just fat lol been looking at the delayed cord thing, nhs leave for a minute, or you can asked for optimol which is 5 to 10mins. I had in my head it was at least an hour, what did your goula say?
@Jadeypie whens your appointment 🙂 pointless stressing when you have that coming up so you may as well be un phased by it all, especially when your doing all.you can

Jadeypie · 02/08/2024 07:06

@Sez281 sentiment we forget how nice a stay cation is! Sounds like little Missy was doing some cardio getting in her new position haha. Glad everything is fine! Xx

@Westy22 working in retail pregnant is hard!! I remember it well! Your pregnancy may drag for you but it's flying for me haha glad all's OK tho xx

I'm just entering my tww done what I could time will tell. I'm just over it all tbh think I've lost abit of hope or am just like well I will soon be seeing a fertility Dr either way xx

Westy22 · 01/08/2024 19:08

@Sez281 ahh that sounds scary, glad baby girl settled back down ❤️ glad you had a nice break though I'm really debating booking something.

26+3 and the heat is starting to get to me not going to lie and work is also starting to really stress me out 😫 I'm tired tho so maybe my weekend off this weekend will chill me out and we have a wedding party to attend so thats nice. Ankles and feet have swelled today tho so hope i can get my heels on 🤣🙈 baby is getting bigger, nearly lost my belly button now 😂 loves transverse position and still very active but I'm not going to lie I'm alsp starting to wish the weeks away now, OH asked me if I'm scared to give birth and I was like nope I'm excited as this is so longgg. X

Sez281 · 01/08/2024 18:18

@DmcinT you'd think my geography would be a bit better, we were actually in West Cork not the actual west. I forgot Cork was South 😂 Hope all is good with you and Mollaí 🥰

@SnookyPook how are you doing? Can't believe Samuel is 10 days old now! You home and settled ok? X

Hope @Supertrooper101 and @Westy22 that you guys aren't struggling too much in this heat! 🥵

@xxcxdonxx @HopeAndStrength and @Jadeypie Hope you ladies are all doing ok and enjoying the break if on one xx

I had a lovely staycation, it was probably for the best to be honest as I was worried about my BP levels a lot.

On a slightly scary note at my appointment on Monday babies heart rate was too high (180bpm) so the stand in consultant said he said he was sending me up to triage to be put on a trace machine.. he then went to do her measurements and couldn’t properly because she’s turned transverse so now is measuring a week behind (but we’ve to take it with a pinch of salt given her position) Thankfully by the time he’d gotten the awkward measurements her heart rate had gone down to 140bpm which is normal but of course I was convinced she was in distress or something before the second reading 😢. I’m not usually an anxious person but honestly I'm just wishing the weeks away because I'm so worried all the time.. 30 weeks tomorrow 🙏

@SnookyPook awww massive congratulations 🎊 he is absolutely gorgeous 😍 well done Mrs xxx

Supertrooper101 · 25/07/2024 15:27

@Westy22 they are meant to at 25wks lol mine was normal on that one then off the chart at 28 lol (they think she measured it wrong lol) if the scan showed 49centile i wouldnt be too concerned lol are they going to monitor the protein then? Still.dont no what to do about that jab 🤦‍♀️ when did u have yours @Sez281 ? Good that there going to see you weekly too, i bet everything will go smoothly now they are lol no nesting yet lol but i am slowly telling myself off lol

Hankthehonk · 23/07/2024 16:28

@SnookyPook Huge congratulations on his safe arrival! I'm so glad everything went well and surgery was a positive experience.
He is absolutely gorgeous - perfectly formed! Feeling all the feels for you.
Good luck with recovery and the crazy magic of 2 child life ❤️

DmcinT · 23/07/2024 09:44

Paws4thought · 23/07/2024 09:30

@SnookyPook congratulations!! He's absolutely gorgeous 😍 glad you had a good experience too x

Sez281 · 23/07/2024 08:55

@Jadeypie glad to hear all looking well, god love the poor trainee, lucky you knew all was good! 🙈

@Supertrooper101 we're heading away to the west of Ireland for a few nights this morning. Had another consultant appointment yesterday so couldn't go until today. BP was ok (due to meds) but I'm in every week now just to be safe (not that I mind that!) all measurements good, she's a couple of days over at 29+1 and measuring just over 3lbs which I never thought we'd see 🥹 Hope the nesting has finally kicked in your end 😂

Thanks everyone! He's here safe and sound! So in love 🥰 5lbs7oz which is officially 2nd centile! But he seems so strong and not as tiny as I'd feared! I'm doing well. Surgery was really positive and we've been very well looked after. 💙 We think we're going with Samuel Arthur but just feeling it out!!

Awww congratulations @SnookyPook he's gorgeous 🥹💙 Hope you're recovering well. Enjoy the bubble for the next while 🥰 xx

Congratulations @SnookyPook he's gorgeous and a lovely little weight 😍 enjoy your baby bubble 💙 xx

@Supertrooper101 she didn't bloody measure me lol even though my file says she should, said she won't be till I'm 28 weeks so my next appointment. Everything else was fine, had a trace of protein in my urine but don't think that's too unusual and she wasnt concerned. Checked blood pressure etc and babys heartbeat was really strong x had a trainee lady in who was super nervous and could find the heartbeat initially but thankfully I could see and feel baby moving around so wasnt panicked lol

xxcxdonxx · 22/07/2024 21:15

Aww congratulations @SnookyPook , he is just perfection!
Enjoy all of those lovely snuggles and being in the newborn bubble with your handsome new addition xx
