Oh god @Westy22 you poor thing you must have gotten an awful fright! 😢 So glad you're ok and that you can rest now.. Hopefully baby gives you some time to chill before making an arrival! 🙏

@SnookyPook wow it's hard to believe we've almost finished this thread.. I've just made another however I'm very conscious that so many of us are at different stages of our journeys and some may not want to see updates but have tagged everyone just in case x

@Westy22 oh blimey! Hope it heals ok! Page 40 ladies! We may need a new thread soon x

Westy22 · 20/10/2024 08:17

@Paws4thought I'm glad your okay and taking some time off, I went through gp for fertility clinic referral and I'm sure the wait was about 8/9 months so not sure if it's different for recurrent MC x

@Sez281 finally finished work on Friday, but it wasn't without its events 😫 spilt a bit of fresh coffee down me and it dripped on my stomach and took the skin off so ended up in burns whilst they removed skin and cleaned it 😷 I was gutted. Its not so bad though and I think it will heal OK just got to clean it everyday and change dressings before they review on Friday. So I'm just trying to chill out now and wind down. Hope your okay xx

Sez281 · 20/10/2024 02:09

@Paws4thought I'm glad that it went as well as it could and that you have some time off. I know it depends on your area how long you might be waiting but you might be surprised at how quickly you're seen publicly. My friend in Liverpool was referred to recurrent MC clinic in March, she had all tests done by May. It's a lot to think about now though, Maybe take some time to process everything, you've been through the mill lately xx

@Paws4thought Glad it went well. It's a lot to think about isn't it. Sending hugs. You'll get there xx

Paws4thought · 18/10/2024 12:19

@SnookyPook all seemed to go fine and I've got time off work. Trying to get my head around best course of action regarding referrals, whether to stick with current hosp, ask gp to refer to a tommys clinic or go private and hope the costs don't add up too much!

SnookyPook · 18/10/2024 11:07

@Paws4thought hope all went ok yesterday and that you have chance to take some time now to rest and process in whatever way you need. 💕

Supertrooper101 · 17/10/2024 16:31

@Sez281 does she gag or vomit too? Myne does after loads of grunting and weird loud noises. Try recording her when she does it.
@Paws4thought hope your feeling ok as best as you can be

Sez281 · 17/10/2024 10:25

@Supertrooper101 I was half joking asking about cues, this one just likes to play mind games with me 🤯🫠😂 The wheezing/mucus/digestive stuff is so hard isn't it. We were thinking of taking her to doc before 6 week appointment but typically whenever we try to show people how bad it is she's lying there fine not struggling to breathe 🤷‍♀️ Had another nurse visit and she's up 1lb since birth 2 weeks ago so that's something. I will try expressing soon but just putting it off because feeding going well and I'm afraid to mess up supply, plus there's all that faffing around with sterilising pumps abs finding right time to do it 🥴

@Westy22 hope you're doing ok and on the wind down properly now xx

xxcxdonxx · 17/10/2024 05:46

Thinking of you today @Paws4thought

SnookyPook · 16/10/2024 17:18

@Paws4thought oh my darling I'm so so sorry to hear your news. It's just awful and so unfair. I really hope that the wait for recurrent miscarriage clinic is less than you're expecting and that you get some answers and solutions asap. Sending you the most enormous hug. I keep thinking this month that this time last year I was right in the middle of going through my third loss, and just a year on, the whole picture has completely changed. I really hope that in a years time you will be looking at a similar different scenario. 💗

Supertrooper101 · 15/10/2024 19:46

@Paws4thought 🙁. Am not sure on where to start with private, maybe book an appointment with a local one and go from there? My oh had a big deficincy in folic acid, not sure if that was behind the mc but he went on wellmans, omega 3, coq10 black maca and another herb. Worth looking into
@Sez281 the bf must be tough. Could you express so your oh can do a full night one time? Feeding signs r usually head side to side, eating their hands and then crying lol fussy i would say tired or nappy. A different cry or screech and eye rolls then wind. Mines still gagging choking, had her at drs and they say its gastro. She has alot of boggys so may b still abit of mucus but its so hard watching her so know how you feel. If your in doubt take her to drs. Mine tried the gaviscon but didnt do anytbing. Just at this age we have no idea exactly what it is 🤷‍♀️

Westy22 · 15/10/2024 09:27

I'm so so sorry @Paws4thought Im devastated for you 💔 hopefully you get all the help and advice you need, take some time out and be kind to yourself ❤️ xx

Sez281 · 14/10/2024 17:39

Oh @Paws4thought I'm so so sorry 😔 I know there's nothing I can say, it's just utterly shit that you are going through this again and it's not fair 😢 Look after yourself xx

@Paws4thought I'm so sorry xxx

xxcxdonxx · 14/10/2024 16:02

I’m glad you don’t have a long wait for your Mva and hopefully they will be able to do some testing from there.
Just give yourself some time just now, you will be on their list and if you want to look into going privately then I imagine that would be much quicker.
Thinking of you 💜

Paws4thought · 14/10/2024 15:38

@xxcxdonxx no she didn't, it had grown since last time and was prob biggest I've had but still under 7 weeks, got mva booked for Thurs so hoping she might be able to give more insight and they'll refer to recurrent clinic now but might look into private as she said its 12 month wait, just don't know where to start x

xxcxdonxx · 14/10/2024 15:35

I’m so sorry @Paws4thought
Did they give any indication as to what had happened?
My first mmc was after seeing a heartbeat so I know how extra cruel that is to have that initial hope.
I’m so sorry you are going through this again, sending you lots of hugs x

Paws4thought · 14/10/2024 13:47

Bad news again today 😞

Sez281 · 14/10/2024 11:03

@Paws4thought good luck with the scan today hun, everything crossed for you! 🙏

@Westy22 oh I really hope you're finished up now. It really sounds like your body is ready. You'll need all your energy for birth and early days so please rest as much as you can! Xx

@xxcxdonxx Oh the move is happening quickly! So great that you'll be in and settled by Christmas etc 🥰 I don't think there's any negative effects of progesterone from ttc that I'm aware of. A friend of mine has been on them since 3DPO for about a year now. Unfortunately she had a couple of losses but is now around 9 weeks since BFP and puts it down to that completely. Definitely check with your doc if concerned though x

@Jadeypie so great to hear from you.. As others have said you are 100% not a failure. TTC is so bloody stressful! I will never do it again.. don't get me wrong if I had age on my side I might take a wait and see approach but definitely not actively try...You are so blessed to have James, enjoy every minute of him and you never know what life has in plan down the road xx

@SnookyPook how long does it take to learn their cues? I keep thinking I know whether she wants then I'm pulling my hair out again 🫠😂

@Supertrooper101 how you doing? I meant to say I'm sorry to hear the news that you're doing this alone (well I know he's being supportive but you know what I mean) I think you're a bloody legend because I can't even imagine how tough it must be! Xx

Had a bit of a set back last week and ended up back in hospital 3 days after we came home as my blood pressure was through the roof. They kept me in for a couple of days to monitor and get it under control with new meds. Luckily I was able to have Sophie with me but it was tough going 😢 we're home again a couple of days now and still trying to find our feet. Breast feeding is bloody hard! Some nights it's 3 hours between feeds but others only like 1 🫠 between that and the mucus/choking thing I basically have barely slept in 2 weeks 🤯 I'm not complaining though and realise how lucky and grateful we are to have her and it will get easier.. hope everybody else is doing ok xx

OP posts:
Paws4thought · 13/10/2024 18:34

@Westy22 definitely sounds like your body is telling you to slow down! Thanks :)
@xxcxdonxx my scan is midday so not too long to wait x

xxcxdonxx · 13/10/2024 18:31

Thinking of you tomorrow @Paws4thought , the wait between scans is horrible.
Thats understand me trying to protect yourself, I hope you don’t have a long wait before it.

Westy22 · 13/10/2024 18:27

I'm 37 weeks tomorrow @SnookyPook so quite happy with where I'm at if baby comes, even though a MW in hospital was like "oohh no we would prefer 39" I've had similar pains today with the braxton hicks again, think the back pain is definitely a nerve tho as it only kicked in again when I was trying to help the OH hang a radiator 😂🙈

I can imagine the nerves @Paws4thought I remember it well going the second time round, hopefully its an earlier appointment so your not waiting to go all day? Xx good luck
