I went to reply and you were right, the thread was full so I couldnt post a link to a new thread, also, because it's a new thread it wont give me a prediction to tag when I type a name, so I have just copied and paste the names off of everyone who posted on the very last page of the thread, I hope anyone else can find it OK. Sorry, maybe there is an easier better way... if anyone else can remember extra names and spellings, please tag 🙂

Thanks @Wise0wl. Defo up for a pub crawl! Wondering about setting up a graduates thread, there are others I know but not quite the same. You lot have been too supportive is the problem, can’t do without you now!

@ThelastRolo20 have a pint for me! I do love a drink. Hope you have a good night

@jellyfish2 feeling mixed to be honest, fewer symptoms than my pregnancy with my son but more than with the miscarriage. Not enough to be reassuring is the problem! I do think I’m hyper vigilant about them all though and I can’t really be sure how far along I am due to irregular cycles. Plus midwives here have a really weird method of working it when they can’t do it by LMP so they’ve knocked at least a week off and probably closer to two which is really stressing me out for if something does go wrong

Wise0wl · 21/03/2024 18:50

@ThelastRolo20 cheers to you! DH has poured himself a celebratory wine and I realised I missed out on my last weekend glass of wine because I’ve been so ill with this stupid flu bug!

I’m not quite ready to move over to another thread so I’d like to lurk on here still, if you’ll still have me.

ThelastRolo20 · 21/03/2024 18:48

@Wise0wl always up for a pub crawl! Currently enjoying a pint whilst waiting for my friend at the local curry house trying to make the most of not being pregnant 😂

Good luck for everyone's scans! It's going to be hard to keep up with everyone so do keep in touch

jellyfish2 · 21/03/2024 18:43

@HerbaceousPerennial good luck for your scan! How have you been feeling?
@Wise0wl love the pub crawl idea 😂

Wise0wl · 21/03/2024 18:04

Thank you @HerbaceousPerennial! that’s good you’ve got a scan booked in, I really hope it goes well 🤞and I know what you mean. I am absolutely willing everyone on every month. Still think we should arrange a pub crawl at some point though!

HerbaceousPerennial · 21/03/2024 18:01

@NphysT congratulations, that’s great news! So pleased to see a fellow PCOSer get their BFP

@Wise0wl also congratulations! I’m so, so pleased for you - feel very invested in everyone on this thread, even though I’ve never met any of you. I’ve been keeping up with where everyone is!

I’ve got an early scan booked for next week and bricking it to be honest. Should be 7-8 weeks by then in theory. Just can’t believe it might turn out ok but a big comfort to know that if it doesn’t I’ll have this thread xx

Wise0wl · 21/03/2024 18:00

Thank you @jellyfish2 & @Bugdem123 ❤️

@Bugdem123 i am so pleased for you that you had a more encouraging GP appointment, and really great too that you’ve relaxed on the testing front but it looks like you’ve timed it well this month. When’s AF due for you?

Bugdem123 · 21/03/2024 17:02

@ThelastRolo20 I am but I'm going to try and hold off a little bit later this cycle until maybe the day or so before I'm due as I get so upset when it's negative that I'm starting to think I'm better off leaving it as late as I can. I've said that literally every cycle and never managed it so we'll see 😂

ThelastRolo20 · 21/03/2024 16:37

@Bugdem123 I need to get all my summer clothes out and sort through them, 4 weeks to go 🤞🏻

So pleased your doctor was more helpful this time, and sounds like you've got your bases covered this month so I have everything crossed for you - are you normally an early tester?

Bugdem123 · 21/03/2024 16:29

@NphysT @Wise0wl congratulations to you both!! That's lovely news to come on to today. I'll keep everything crossed that these are sticky beans.

@CluelessInLondon I hope you're keeping well. I'm also keeping everything crossed for your scan on Saturday 🩷.

@UrsulaSings123 I felt exactly the same when I first tried after my MC. I really internalised all the stuff about how you're much more fertile after and thought it would happen and was so gutted when it didn't. I hope you manage to have a lovely trip.

@Ladyinpink1 hope you're doing okay lovely, the negatives are so hard to see. Especially if you've tested positive early before.

@ThelastRolo20 the days are ticking down nicely for your holiday! Have you got all your holiday bits sorted? I'm in desperate need of a bikini that doesn't make me immediately want to put all my clothes straight back on again 😂

I had my appointment with my GP this afternoon and he was so much more reassuring than the last one. He said that my period sounds normal, and given we know I ovulated last cycle so should presumably be doing it every cycle, he thinks it's just a matter of time. He also said that if we're not pregnant by the end of May I can come back as that will have been a year of trying and he'll do more tests. I feel so much better after it and also knowing that there's a plan of sorts if it doesn't work out.

I wasn't planning on doing OPKs and BBT this cycle but I did one this morning and it was positive so pleased with that as we've been DTD Monday, yesterday, today and planning on doing it tomorrow too. I'm definitely feeling the benefit of not doing the BBT though - I don't think I realised how much time I was spending examining my chart!

jellyfish2 · 21/03/2024 13:55

@Wise0wl that's definitely positive! Congratulations!!🩷

CluelessInLondon · 21/03/2024 13:35

@NphysT Definitely give them a call to ask - there's no universal approach, but the EGU at my hospital were brilliant and gave me two early scans in this pregnancy because of my previous loss. There's nothing at all to lose by asking, and if it enables you to get some reassurance and saves you having to book private scans then so much the better.

NphysT · 21/03/2024 13:28

Thank you all.
I'm not sure if EPU will scan me early or not. Is there a criteria for them too and do I just call them up and ask? My mmc was 2 days after my 12 scan when I had 1 with fetal medicine so not sure if they'd give me an early scan now.

@Wise0wl congratulations that's a definite positive!! Looks like we'll be due around the same time. Hoping we both have sticky babies 🤞🏻

ThelastRolo20 · 21/03/2024 12:25

@Wise0wl this is good to know! I've picked up running, have taken CoQ10 for two months now and won't be doing OPKs so hopefully May's cycle will be the one for me 😂

Wise0wl · 21/03/2024 12:21

Thank you @ThelastRolo20 & @CluelessInLondon ❤️

Not sure if any of this is useful, but this month the only things I did differently was much more exercise, I have no idea when I ovulated, and it was the third month after I started taking CoQ10. So maybe something helped.

CluelessInLondon · 21/03/2024 11:07

@Wise0wl That definitely looks positive to me! Amazing news, sending you all of my spare baby dust for a sticky bean. 💕

ThelastRolo20 · 21/03/2024 10:59

@Wise0wl waheey!! That's a definite positive, congratulations 😍

Wise0wl · 21/03/2024 10:54

I’ve tested, which looks positive ♥️🤞 I’m of course now bulk ordering tests and worrying about the line being slightly to the left of the test…

@UrsulaSings123 the thoughts are so hard, I can’t stop myself from getting miles ahead and planning for things that aren’t now happening, or that I can’t bank on. It doesn’t mean that possibility of conceiving in Paris is lost though! I hope you have a lovely time (I’ve no idea about temping but hoping someone can help with that!

ThelastRolo20 · 21/03/2024 10:19

@UrsulaSings123 thank you, that sounds so tough re your friend ❤️ about the lh surge it's not an exact science and you're right, travel could throw out BBT, enjoy the trip whilst you're there as much as you can (moules frite and white wine is a fave of mine!). I'll be joining you next month if this one isn't the one ❤️

CluelessInLondon · 21/03/2024 09:50

@NphysT Congratulations, that's wonderful news. ❤ Will you be able to access early scans through your EPU to check how things are going and help with reassurance?

@Wise0wl Fingers crossed for your test today!

@UrsulaSings123 The OPKs just measure the LH surge and it is possible to have that and not ovulate. It's really easy to end up putting pressure on yourself to conceive again right after an MC, and it's easy to fall into the trap of believing that it's what "should" happen because the internet is awash with stories of people catching on the first cycle after a loss. I waited a cycle to start trying again and was devastated at not falling pregnant on the first attempt - setting that expectation definitely didn't do me any good emotionally. If you can, try to relax for now and just enjoy your break. ❤

UrsulaSings123 · 21/03/2024 09:39

Hi everyone

@ThelastRolo20 it's so difficult isn't it when you come across a 'trigger'. My friend who we were in hospital together when we had our first babies, was in hospital having her 2nd baby when I had the surgical management. It really hurt and still does when she posts stuff about her baby. This break I'm on I should have been 12 weeks, but instead I'm packing opk's. Sending you much love.

@Wise0wl how are you feeling about the testing? I admire your ability to choose the right time to test, I feel totally compelled to test as soon as (or earlier) I possibly can. I saw someone ask once if they can get ptsd type symptoms from testing though, and I really think that is possible. Ttc carries such extreme feelings with it.

@Ladyinpink1 thank you haha. Yes it makes me feel like a scientist. I was joking with my other half about it being sexy getting a positive opk (haha no it definitely is not!).

@NphysT congratulations and I hope it all works out for you.

I am feeling a bit deflated. I got a positive/peak opk literally the night we got here, which moved ovulation to yesterday (thought it would be tomorrow). Was totally not ready for it and feel we've missed the boat on this one. Also I've been testing bbt and it's not risen today which is making me wonder if I've actually ovulated or not. Is it possible to get positive opk and not ovulate?? It's the first month testing bbt and obviously I'm sleeping in a different country, so could that affect it? I honestly don't know! Anyway, the boat has left now and nothing more I can do, but not feeling particularly positive about it. Just going to try and think of it as a month off (which we were advised to do anyway) and start again next month. I guess I was (not so secretly) hoping this month would work out so it would soften the blow of everything being moved back, but that was a very high bar to set. Also thought oh wouldn't it be so cute if we conceived in Paris. Wish I could turn off those stupid thoughts sometimes, but they come in before I've even realised what's happening.

Sorry for the long post!!

Wise0wl · 21/03/2024 09:08

@ThelastRolo20 that must be hard. I have to admit I sort of underestimated MC before I had one, there are just so many misconceptions and I think a lot of people downplay/don’t understand the various challenges and triggers.

I peed in a cup this morning and am going to test it at lunchtime. I feel so rubbish with this flu bug thing that if I can I want to take some stronger medicines than honey and lemon and paracetamol! I will keep you posted.

@NphysT congratulations! And I’m so pleased you’re feeling calm ☺️

ThelastRolo20 · 21/03/2024 08:52

@Wise0wl thank you ❤️ having this group has really helped as our stance to everyone in real life has been "we haven't decided whether to try again" so they have no clue as to this imaginary countdown! The due date is the weekend we come back from holiday so hoping have a week away will help make it more manageable.

What did you decide today? Have you tested?

@NphysT wonderful news 🥰 congratulations and fingers crossed all goes well

NphysT · 21/03/2024 07:05

Wise0wl · 20/03/2024 20:16

@ThelastRolo20 ah thanks! It went well thank you, I’m totally exhausted now!

@Ladyinpink1 wow your vitamins are comprehensive! If this isn’t my month I think I might try something like this (not sure which brand or amount as I’ve not done all my research) https://www.amazon.co.uk/Free-Soul-Supplement-Myo-Inositol-Chromium/dp/B0BBR5WW47/

AF was possibly due today or tomorrow based on my last couple of cycles, but I’m also conscious I’ve tried hard with vitamins to lengthen my cycles a bit as post MMCs they have been short. I’m not sure what to do about testing, definitely not before mid-day tomorrow (but will ‘save’ my FMU - things I never thought I’d say, or that I’d keep cups of wee around the house but hey ho), but I’m also a bit scared of the result either way tbh.

I used the nature's best myo-inositol powder as I read 4g is the best dose to have when ttc so just check the dosage matches. I also have pcos and it helped with regulating my cycle. Have you read it starts with an egg? I followed the recommended vitamins from there if you're thinking of starting any vitamins.

Got everything crossed that this is your month thougu and AF doesn't arrive 🤞🏻
