I went to reply and you were right, the thread was full so I couldnt post a link to a new thread, also, because it's a new thread it wont give me a prediction to tag when I type a name, so I have just copied and paste the names off of everyone who posted on the very last page of the thread, I hope anyone else can find it OK. Sorry, maybe there is an easier better way... if anyone else can remember extra names and spellings, please tag 🙂

Hi everyone - busy week so just catching up!

@ThelastRolo20 my cycles were irregular before the miscarriage, around 28-35 days, although the cycle I conceived on was over CD100!

@UrsulaSings123 thank you - the due date is this weekend so I'm trying not to think about it too much but it's there in the back of my mind. How different my life would have been right now... I think I don't even know what's normal anymore and it's driving me a bit crazy, but I do feel like my periods have changed, for example this cycle it stopped for a whole day and then had light bleeding again on the next day! My luteal phase was also shorter for the first time in ages - it was 14 days last month and 11 this month. Good to know that shorter periods can be normal though. Luckily my GP has been brilliant and she's had an ectopic before so has had a similar experience. She said if I don't conceive in the next couple of months to have another appointment so I'm feeling well supported.

@samilicious it's such a tough decision to make isn't it. I think for me it was all about being able to move on mentally and I wanted to get back to TTC as soon as possible. I didn't think we'd still be trying 6 months later! Any ideas how to thicken the lining?! I saw that under 8mm isn't ideal, so I have a way to go yet! My lining was 14mm when I was scanned before the miscarriage, but I assume it builds up during pregnancy?

@Ladyinpink1 you'll be proud of the fact I woke up the other day and completely forgot to take my temperature! That's the first time I've forgotten since I started doing it last year. Feeling a bit less obsessed but still really struggle in the 2WW and during AF each month.

moosey89 · 11/04/2024 20:29

@UrsulaSings123 ah cool! Best of luck for this month for us both x

UrsulaSings123 · 11/04/2024 17:49

Seems like we are on similar times in our cycle @moosey89

moosey89 · 11/04/2024 16:56

@UrsulaSings123 yup literally last night and a tiny bit this morning, that's it! Coincides 100% with when my opks show I would be ovulating. So strange 😂 I guess I'm going to take it as a good sign because I need something to keep me going for the 2ww now lol

UrsulaSings123 · 11/04/2024 15:42

I've not had that either @moosey89 (that I've noticed in the past) has it stopped now?

Thanks @Ladyinpink1 I've had the biggest lh peak I've ever had today, over 1.2 which is really high for me. Hopefully that is a good sign. Does mean ovulation is tomorrow probably on CD12 which seems pretty early to me. I had a look and it says that prior to day 11 is considered early and can be a problem, so hopefully day 12 is OK like you say!

Ladyinpink1 · 10/04/2024 21:43

I haven't had it before @moosey89 but I have read on here ladies getting it. I know it's tough when something is different in a cycle, maybe take it as a good sign of high hormone levels of ovulation? x

Ladyinpink1 · 10/04/2024 21:39

I'm Glad you got dtd at the right time @UrsulaSings123 I have been getting a positive opk the past few cycles when I tracked on cd12 and when I looked it up, it said it's not too early to concieve x

moosey89 · 10/04/2024 21:27

Anyone here get ovulation bleeding/spotting? Today is O day and I've not had it before but today I've just had lots of eggwhite cm mixed with streaks of fresh red blood 🧐 Dr Google tells me it's nothing to be concerned about but find it strange that I've had periods for over 20 years now and this is the first time I can remember having spotting at this time in my cycle!

UrsulaSings123 · 10/04/2024 19:11

Well my lh has doubled during the day so looking more likely to be a surge tonight or tomorrow. We did end up DTD today anyway so at least I'm not feeling disappointed about that, but I am quite worried about what's going on with my cycle as that would be day 11 or 12. We shall see.

ThelastRolo20 · 10/04/2024 10:44

@UrsulaSings123 it's so difficult when TTC becomes overly regimented, and it can become difficult on the poor chaps sometimes 😂 definitely worth checking out of it isn't normal for you but lh can fluctuate before a surge so it may be normal timing in the end x

UrsulaSings123 · 10/04/2024 10:08

@samilicious I totally get those feelings of wishing it never happened as you'd be in a better position, especially if your cycles are different post MC, which mine seem to be at the moment. Hopefully now you're having blood tests etc they will be able to start supporting you more, I don't know if it's possible to prescribe things to help with cycle length etc. I know its shit thinking of that possibility though when things were maybe more regular/longer length before.

@Ladyinpink1 yes I know what you mean, it is hard to not worry about DTD enough. That's good that overall you felt more relaxed, and you're trying to work out the best way for doing things next month to make it even better.

Im in a bit of that panic at the moment. My LH is going up sooner than I thought it would and I'm worrying that I will ovulate even earlier than last month and we'll miss the boat. I just spoke to my other half and said I thought it'd be good to DTD today as well and he said he was feeling the pressure a bit. I said it doesn't matter if we don't there's always tomorrow/the next day, but inside I was like noooo! Then I'm thinking well maybe it is too soon and DP will get worn out before 'the big night' 😂 so don't want that to happen. It's so awkward trying to time things if it's different to normal. I'm worrying about my cycle length as pre MC I would ovulate day 15 on average but now it might even be less than day 13. I was hoping this cycle would be more normal. I guess we shall see and if its not right then I think I might see the GP as no harm in doing that although I'm guessing they'll probably just tell me to wait it out as its early days.

ThelastRolo20 · 10/04/2024 09:39

@UrsulaSings123 Glad to know I'm not the only one that gets annoyed at things that like :D I know, I'm splitting my washing out between friends and family at the moment. My MIL is going to get a bag full on Friday!

@samilicious they're normally a pretty steady 28-29 days, ovulate around day 15. Obviously I had surgery late Jan, period came 4 weeks later and was fairly normal, cycle after that was 26 days which isn't unusual to happen occasionally (I remember before even trying to conceive I'd think "oh! It's a couple days early" and move on. Funny how now we over analyse these things). TBH I think I was just raging at the world yesterday! If it comes anytime from Saturday, which would be a 26 day cycle then I'm happy as it's within normal range and consistent. If it came now it would be very early and probably concerning, but no sign of it this morning.

@Ladyinpink1 Horror-moans is amazing! haha, I also like the imagery of very polite sperm waiting to woo an egg....will get my husband to tell his sperm to be on their very best behaviour....

Ladyinpink1 · 10/04/2024 07:40

@ThelastRolo20 hoping it's washing machine frustration and not pre AF hormones or "HORROR-MOANS" as a family member calls them x

@UrsulaSings123 definitely been more relaxed, although there has been alot of counting on fingers to figure out roughly where I am lol. I think if I do this relaxed approach next cycle I will try to dtd every other day throughout my cycle instead as I found when I thought ovulation might be roughly I kind of cheated and dtd more often and it was less relaxing. It's hard to let go of that sort of panic at the fertile time wondering have you done it enough. Where are you right now in your cycle? Sorry if you have already said, it's hard to keep track of all the cycles... wish there was an app we could chat on that displayed everyones cycles on a graph so we could all know lol. x

I'm really so sorry about af arriving @samilicious and I can kind of imagine how you felt with the baby grows arriving too, sending a hug.
Everything you typed is how I feel (how I assume all of us on here feel) and it's so true, the not knowing is so hard, and every month it's hard not to put everything on hold and not to put all of your hopes into it. What cycle number is this? I have been feeling very nervous about the length of time with no bfp and I'm not sure if this helps you at all but sometimes I do feel a tiny bit better to remember that I have concieved before, not that long ago, so even though it ended, it did happen, which means we definitely have some cooperative and willing eggs in us, and our dh's definitely have some 'handsome egg wooing' sperm, so the chances of it happening again are very high. x

samilicious · 09/04/2024 23:33

@Ladyinpink1 deffo AF :( too heavy and hardcore crampy now. Worst timing as I'd just picked up a package that was my friend's baby shower present - two tiny newborn baby grows.

Had a cry, feel pretty fed up tbh. I just wish we could know the future. Like is this ever going to happen? I just want to know so I can give up forever or relax knowing it does at some point. Is my DD going to be an only child? Can I get rid of all our baby stuff?

I'm so angry at myself for conceiving when we had that TFMR. It was unplanned. If it had never happened, I'm sure I would have conceived just fine in the time since and would be happily living life not a care in the world. I know it's stupid and pointless thinking about. And nothing I could have done. But feelings / thoughts just don't make sense sometimes do they

@ThelastRolo20 ahh my favourite line 'I wish I was this angry because I'm on my period!!!' when my DH even hints I may need to cool it a bit because I'm hormonal. What have your cycles been like in the past? What is going on at the moment messing with our cycle? Is it this eclipse business?!

UrsulaSings123 · 09/04/2024 21:47

@Ladyinpink1 thank you I do tend to write essays once I get going! How are you feeling this month heading to AF having not tracked and not knowing how many DPO you are? I hope you are feeling more relaxed with it.

@Jellybelly888 I hope they won't make you wait a week. I had to have 4 scans over 3 weeks before they would finally call it a miscarriage and do something to help me. The waiting between scans was the worst bit of it for me. Do let us know if you feel up to it. We've all been through it and know hoew awful it is. No I don't feel stressed at the moment, but ask me again in a few months 😂 I'm leaning heavily on this 'more fertile after a MC' baloney (because I don't think it's probably true) so if it doesn't happen within a few months I think I could start to feel quite stressed/unhappy about it. Thank you 😊

@samilicious ahhh I'm so sorry you've had AF. I was really hopeful for you when you had those dreams and stuff. Like you said at least you can change your hormone test now so hopefully will get more insight into it. Make sure you set a reminder this time! 😂

@ThelastRolo20 I hope it is just your washing machine and not AF on its way. I bashed my arm on the cupboard door the other day because I lost my shit after I spilt water on the floor and I'm nowhere near AF 😂 my washing machine broke before Christmas and it's a bloody pain in the ass. Especially when you're approaching your holiday.

ThelastRolo20 · 09/04/2024 21:18

@samilicious bloody AF! Sorry your cycles still aren't playing ball, but hopefully you can get some investigations done.

I'm also worried this cycle, last cycle was 26 days which was 2-3 days early. Fine, totally normal. But I have been furiously pissed off the last couple days and eaten a truck load of food (which is common pre AF). If it came in the next couple days it'd be a 23/24 day cycle and my norm is 28/29..But maybe my frustration is because my washing machine is broken and I'm raging at my very full wash basket 😂😂

Ladyinpink1 · 09/04/2024 21:10

Aw I'm so sorry af arrived and came so early@samilicious it's awful ☹️... is it definitely af? How are you feeling now?
My af is due next Thurs x

OP posts:
samilicious · 09/04/2024 20:54

When is your AF due @Ladyinpink1 ?
How are you feeling this time around?
Feel like more of a sacrificial lamb / old ewe for kebab meat than a spring chicken atm 😂

samilicious · 09/04/2024 20:52

There I was Braggy braggington about my cycles getting longer each time. 23 days this month grr :( af came randomly this evening with no sign other than the pms a few days ago that's since died down. Was around 21 at the beginning, got them gradually up to 28 last month.

Well annoyed. Oh well, hopefully I can change my hormone/ovulation blood test at the gp so I can do it this month now that CD19 won't fall during my holiday

Jellybelly888 · 09/04/2024 20:50

@ThelastRolo20 you definitely deserve a good drink and to enjoy your holiday too, you really do. I can’t even comprehend what it would feel like to know the due date is looming, well done for getting through that. I think I’ll have 4th November imprinted on my brain for all eternity and just be so sad. 😞

Jellybelly888 · 09/04/2024 20:48

@Ladyinpink1 I’m so sorry to hear about your MMCs, it sounds horrific and your scan sounds really distressing. Yes the private scan was absolutely awful and really not ok, as @samilicious says that private scans are not great for anything but extras really, I definitely won’t be using them again at all. I had one with my DS at 10 weeks 6 years ago and it was all great and dandy, but then yesterday had put me off for life.

@UrsulaSings123 thank you for the reassurance about hopefully not having to wait another week to be scanned. My notes from the private clinic say that the baby was 18mm so hopefully that’s over the threshold. I spoke to my midwife today and she’s really confused me because she said they will probably want to scan me in a weeks time after my initial appointment on Thursday. I mentioned the size thing and she said she didn’t know and it wasn’t her department, so I just hope she’s getting mixed up. To wait a whole other week is like torture. Glad to hear your period returned ok and it was fairly light, good to hear you’re TTC again, I hope you’re not finding it too stressful or making you anxious. I wish you all the luck and baby dust in the world xx

Ladyinpink1 · 09/04/2024 20:46

We will be spring chickens lol. We are spring chickens, young things 🤣 @samilicious when is af due for you? x

OP posts:
Ladyinpink1 · 09/04/2024 20:36

Oooh I love vinted @ThelastRolo20 Yes that will be lovely to have your company x

No cake but 8 biscuits and a burger 🤣 the cake was probably super high in calories so you did the right thing. @UrsulaSings123 thank you for taking the time to type all of that out, that's exactly right and how I feel too, oh yes, hug accepted 😊 that's great if ovulation will be a bit more normal this cycle for you, I hope it brings good news x

Happy days @moosey89 hope all went well with the trip x

I'm so sorry for your loss @Jellybelly888 it's even harder when you have had a scan confirming all was OK because you get your hopes up and believe all is well which makes the shock so much worse. And your treatment at the scan was not ok, I can still remember the feeling when you find out, it's like your stomach falling out of your body, it's just awful, sending a hug to you, anything we can help with or chat about, please just say. I'm also happy to share my experience if it helps at all, i have had 2 mmc, my miscarriage in August, I had a scan at about 8/9 weeks which showed a strong heartbeat then I started bleeding out of the blue just before my 12 week scan, went to the epu the next day and they confirmed baby had died (right after the 9 week scan from size), where I live they send you home for a week to see if things will progress naturally before they do anything more and they did progress on their own for me x

OP posts:
UrsulaSings123 · 09/04/2024 14:45

@Jellybelly888 I'm so sorry you're going through this. I had surgical management just over a month ago and I'm glad that it was all over and I didn't have to go through weeks of bleeding. If the baby is measuring over 7mm then you wont have to wait a week for it to be confirmed.

My 1st period after only lasted less than 2 days so I'm hoping this month will be more normal. We are TTC straight away. It's honestly the most jarring experience ever to go from elation at being pregnant to absolute despair at everything that has been lost - not only the baby itself but an alternate future that was coming alive in your mind. I hope you are taking some time for yourself. Sending you a hand hold if you would like it. It's helped me so much the support of others on here, knowing I'm not alone.

ThelastRolo20 · 09/04/2024 14:42

@Jellybelly888 my surgery was late Jan and we have actually taken a break as we're away next week on holiday, and after two back to back MMCs within 4 months I thought I deserved a glass of wine or two when away 😂

My cycles are pretty much back to normal though so will be back to trying next cycle. AF should arrive early - mid next week (so a partial overlap with holiday). My first due date to pass is the weekend we come back (28th April) but feeling okay about it mostly.

I've been pretty fortunate so far to conceive within 2 cycles each time, and I have a living daughter who was issue free from the get go so I live in hope, not fear ❤️
