I went to reply and you were right, the thread was full so I couldnt post a link to a new thread, also, because it's a new thread it wont give me a prediction to tag when I type a name, so I have just copied and paste the names off of everyone who posted on the very last page of the thread, I hope anyone else can find it OK. Sorry, maybe there is an easier better way... if anyone else can remember extra names and spellings, please tag 🙂

@samilicious literally didn't think I was, especially as I tested negative a few days prior. Had more 'symptoms' on BFN cycles! Only did a test as my temp was still high and luteal phase longer than normal. Then boobs got bigger and more sore. Didn't really notice anything with CM. I guess my advice is that you aren't out until temp drop/period arrives 😂

ThelastRolo20 · 28/05/2024 14:54

@samilicious I was drier than the Sahara desert the day before I got my positive 😅

samilicious · 28/05/2024 14:31

Thanks @13lucy - did you have any other signs that made you think you might have caught? my CM is non existent but can't remember previous times if it's been any different at this point. Sorry all the gross things from me atm 😂

13lucy · 28/05/2024 10:39

@Ladyinpink1 thank you, got a scan booked in for Sunday so fingers crossed. Feeling alright I think, just over analysing everything! Conscious not to post too much on here as I know how triggering it was for me when TTC!

I was still testing negative at 8/9 DPO so don't give up hope too soon! Funnily though I thought f**k it and started running again and then BFP at 14 dpo.

samilicious · 27/05/2024 22:24

@Ladyinpink1 oh god don't talk to me about cats - DD is cat mad and everyone thinks we're cruel for not getting one! On the crazy levels - full Professor Trelawney from Harry Potter where TTC is concerned RN 😂 I'll be reading the tea leaves next. Reading a book about being in tune with your intuition. I think I'm out this month - Sahara pants, mood swings and ravenous. Given up and smashed a Chinese and few glasses of wine as a 'wallow' treat (thanks @HerbaceousPerennial). Got those tests coming tomorrow so might do one with FMU wed just to put me out of my misery. Flo says 9DPO but not sure - CD23. Enjoy your reading and good night! X

Lol hello friend, how many cats do you own now? 🤣 @samilicious I am going up to bed now to research this and find @ThelastRolo20 's article.
I wish I felt nothing because cycles where you feel things and then it's bfn hit you far harder I think. How many dpo are you now? And when will you test? Very hopeful for you with all of those symptoms so similar to previous pregnancies x

Ladyinpink1 · 27/05/2024 21:51

I really hope they can help you get some answers when you are next in @Wise0wl x

Thanks for the crazy validation @ThelastRolo20 it's probably not anything but would be so lovely if it ended up that it was. Hope you are well x

@Ladyinpink1 totally with you! I was like that from the estrogen craziness this month. Convinced. Ooooh really rooting for you this cycle! Quietly optimistic. This is the worst bit about testing and being more engaged with trying to isn't it - feel all worked up again for the first time during the TWW in a while 😅

@13lucy awesome! Holiday in between sounds lovely, lots to keep you busy and mind off worrying 😊

@HerbaceousPerennial gahhh stupid hormones! Totally with you on board games. Much better for bonding than Netflix I say! I've ordered some easy@home but will try one step next on yours and Lady's recommendations 😊 I'm feeling much better thanks but snappy, starving and Sahara pants so just waiting for AF to show herself in a few days 🙄 expected a few months for the vits and healthy habits to affect things but still a bit disappointed won't lie

@Wise0wl rubbish you're bleeding again but hopefully another scan with help ease your mind in the whole ♥️ my friend has had it the whole time too and she's 16w and didn't have it at all in her last preg

@ThelastRolo20 never knew that, very interesting! Hope you're doing ok ♥️ and waiting over the next few weeks isn't playing on your mind too much xx

ThelastRolo20 · 27/05/2024 21:03

@Ladyinpink1 I know what you mean! I was absolutely convinced I felt different from about 3/4 DPO. I think I posted it ages ago but they did find evidence that there's a higher surge in progesterone in the beginning part of the luteal phase when there's a ferilised egg so it could well be something 🥰

Wise0wl · 27/05/2024 20:21

@HerbaceousPerennial I’m so glad you’re feeling calmer and thank you 💕 and I’ve got everything crossed for you this cycle @Ladyinpink1! I’ve had spotting in 3/4 pregnancies, but (sorry if TMI) with DC it was more like dark brown, whereas in the MMC I had it with is the same as now, light pink. They’ve not found a reason for it before now with this pregnancy though, and part of me would really like a reason so I know why it’s happening!

Ladyinpink1 · 27/05/2024 20:05

I'm aware I'm going to sound like a full on "12 cats and a crazy hat" lady lol but I feel pregnancy feelings (I am only 3dpo 😂😂) I have this weird feeling in my womb like a heaviness that I have felt before, now in all likelihood it's probably still side effects from the maca plus a bit of trapped wind but I know I'm in a safe space here so baring all my crazy thoughts. Anyone else got some craziness to make me feel better?

Yes of course you did, I'm sorry @13lucy it's so hard bring pregnant after a loss, I hope that things get a little better as each week passes. Do you have a scan booked? How are you feeling physically? x

@HerbaceousPerennial 🤣😂 I loved reading that, it made me laugh that you have made your dh uncool. I'm sure your dh is privileged to have you. Sorry af hasn't arrived yet. How is your ds been BTW, and how did his follow up appointment go? x

Sorry about the spotting @Wise0wl that must be so stressful 😞 have you had this before in previous pregnancies? x

OP posts:
HerbaceousPerennial · 27/05/2024 19:56

@Wise0wl that’s so stressful, I hope it settles down soon. I had spotting until about 16 weeks with my son if it’s any comfort. All fine and because I was so naive I never even got it checked out, first pregnancy so just assumed it was par for the course! I’m feeling very mixed still to be honest but significantly calmer overall than with my first miscarriage so hopefully some of the coping strategies are coming in to force.

Wise0wl · 27/05/2024 17:52

@HerbaceousPerennial they are so good, and I’m so lucky. But my spotting has started up again (I thought it was over as I’ve not had any at all for two weeks!) so I suppose I’ll pop in to see them again at some point this week. Hope you’re doing ok x

HerbaceousPerennial · 27/05/2024 17:43

@Wise0wl your EPU sounds great! Glad everything is going well, I hope the anxiety settles down a bit soon and you can enjoy your pregnancy a bit more, you deserve to have that joy and excitement of looking forward to your baby, everyone does. It’s really hard though I know.

HerbaceousPerennial · 27/05/2024 17:39

@Ladyinpink1 my family joke I was born 80 years old 😂 I’ve always enjoyed ‘old people’ things. But I’ve been a terrible influence on DH, he used to be actually cool and I’ve worn him down into port drinking and board games. He’s very glad I introduced him to dessert wine too! The wine drinking and conception is interesting, all three times I’ve conceived I’d been hitting the bottle fairly hard to be honest. Looking for a happy middle ground! How are you finding the TWW?

@samilicious I’ve always used one step for pregnancy tests, same as @Ladyinpink1 and they’ve always been spot on and very clear for me. Plus super cheap which I like! I used them before I was even TTC because I’d often go three months or longer without a period so I’d use them occasionally just to check I hadn’t got pregnant accidentally which seems hilarious now. I’ve got one step ovulation strips too but I never use them regularly and they’re not very effective for PCOS as I have lots of false alarms so can’t really tell if they’re any good! How are you doing? Hope you’re feeling a bit better.

AF hasn’t shown up yet so back in limbo cycle wise, just hormones going ballistic in general. Not really surprising, only 4 weeks since I miscarried.

13lucy · 27/05/2024 10:01

@Ladyinpink1 I had a BFP a couple of weeks ago which comes with it's own level of anxiety! Feeling grateful to be in this position but finding it difficult to manage the uncertainty. Still keeping looped in on this thread!

@samilicious I'm going on the 22nd! Really looking forward to it, just feels like a lifetime away at the moment. I've got a holiday between now and then so will be good to have some time to relax.

Hope everyone else is having a good long weekend.

samilicious · 26/05/2024 20:18

Sorry guys missed a few messages when I posted last night!

@HerbaceousPerennial love your mum's wallow methodology - deffo using that. I think before I've spent months being in my feels so a hardcore wallow with a rough time limit sounds perfect. Rubbish she was seriously ill last year - you've had a tough few years yourself! I can imagine it not going down so well, I've dropped a few similar jokes with similar reception. Wasted on that audience! Great news about your cycles behaving themselves this time but the preg symptoms must feel weird

@Wise0wl interesting about the thrush! I'm sure it came about too early this time to mean anything. Also got really strong wee randomly, sorry all the gross symptoms - but probably more down to the vitamins I'm taking this time. Yay so glad you had a good 12w scan. So hard trying to put the bad thoughts out of your mind. Do you think you'll feel better after the 20w one?

Ladyinpink1 · 26/05/2024 18:28

@samilicious don't feel silly, this is the beauty of this thread, we can rant and say anything we feel honestly without fear of judgement in a way that we can't really do in real life.
I haven't had it as an early pregnancy symptom but can imagine how the pH levels could be messed up in early preg and cause it. How many dpo are you and when is af due?
Yes it's lovely knowing for sure when/that I did ovulate. Although I had lots of ewcm today, and ovulation is over.
The cheapies i use to satisfy my testing addiction are clinical guard (but these are hard to get atm) and one step blue preg tests (which you can get on amazon), I have never had an evap on either. x

@Wise0wl that's amazing the epu really have been so good to do all of those scans. 16 weeks is a good plan, I hope time until then goes in quick!
Having a nice Bank hol weekend thanks, too much naughty eating though x

OP posts:
Wise0wl · 25/05/2024 21:33

& thanks @Ladyinpink1. As EPU was so good I’ve been used to scans every 10 days or so. DH keeps saying we should go back to EPU but I don’t have a physical medical need to, just wild anxiety! So I think I’ll wait til 16 weeks if I can? 20 week scan is on 17th July which is so long away! Hope you’re doing ok and having a nice weekend? X

Wise0wl · 25/05/2024 21:31

@samilicious don’t want to inadvertently get your hopes up but me with thrush. On tests, I’ve only ever stuck to a FRER or CB because that’s all I’ve know and I’m a creature or habit. I’ve got everything crossed for you 🤞xx

samilicious · 25/05/2024 21:27

@Wise0wl thankful for your lurking ♥️ and kind words. Lots of love to you too xxx

@Ladyinpink1 aww your message was so sweet thank you ♥️ feel like a proper silly billy being so down in the dumps last night and sharing my life story on here 😂 like you guys don't have enough to worry about. Ooh that's amazing you managed to pick up ovulation! I'm definitely temping next time. God bless screens in those moments! You've converted me on the certainty stuff, helps you feel more in control doesn't it

Might be TMI but has anyone ever had thrush as an early preg symptom before? My Estefan is definitely high at the moment whatever is going on, with that and no bmilk

Also which tests do you guys use? Thinking of testing early this time to put me out of my misery. Used to use FRER but don't want to go back after that evap line debacle

Ladyinpink1 · 25/05/2024 20:50

@HerbaceousPerennial ha ha you and your dh are as rock and roll as us then 👴🏻👵🏻
I love a wee port but I know it's classed as an "old person drink", I will need to try a sherry next I think 😀
I'm not sure if you were on the thread at the time but I had read a study of ladies ttc and the ones that had wine were way more likely to concieve than ladies who didn't have wine so I have started having some port around my fertile time.
This will be your first cycle I think? How are you feeling about that? And how have you been doing lately? x

I'm really pleased to hear about your successful 12 week scan, that is a really brilliant milestone to hit, although I can imagine the anxiety and worry is hard to forget, pregnancy after loss is so complicated. @Wise0wl will you book another scan soon or wait until 20 weeks? x

OP posts:
Wise0wl · 25/05/2024 15:06

Hello @Ladyinpink1 I have everything crossed for a successful fertile window for you 🤞 and @HerbaceousPerennial I hope your symptoms are a good sign of a normal cycle!

I’m doing ok. Feeling very grateful for a good 12 week scan earlier this week, but still feeling a bit paralysed with fear of things going wrong and not quite feeling ready to tell people just yet. But I don’t know when I will (or if I will?) so currently trying to work that through.

Hope you all have nice plans for the bank holiday weekend? X

HerbaceousPerennial · 25/05/2024 13:46

Also I have been having all the pregnancy symptoms last couple of days, did a pregnancy test and an OPK and both were stark white negative. So I’m hoping this means AF might be on the way which would be almost aligned to a normal
person’s cycles 🤞

HerbaceousPerennial · 25/05/2024 13:44

@13lucy not overthinking is so hard! I think early pregnancy after loss and TTC have so many similarities, basically just constant symptom spotting and hoping for the best really. Hope you are coping ok.

@Wise0wl glad you are still lurking! Hope everything is going ok for you too - I still pop over to the grad thread occasionally too just to see how folk are doing.

@Ladyinpink1 chuckled when I read your post, DH loves a port and I had a sneaky sherry last night because I am down with the cool kids. I have a special glass which makes me feel extra fancy and puts me in a good mood! Sounds like the port put your eggs in a good mood too and hope your DH appreciated his wake up call, fingers crossed it’s done the trick!

@samilicious really felt for you reading your update pal. You have so much going on and you’re doing a great job managing, it’s no wonder it hits you sometimes. It’s a lot. My mum believes in what she calls the power of the wallow, which basically means sometimes you’ve just got to go with how you’re feeling, and really indulge it and yourself until you feel a bit better. She was seriously ill last year and says this was one of her coping mechanisms. I think she is a wise lady. Also I’m glad you enjoyed the EPU joke, it didn’t land very well at the time but it tickled me! For me too a dark joke helps, it really does hurt the soul (I think this a beautiful way of putting it), but I’d rather laugh than cry all the time. Hope you are doing ok today, or if not, having a good wallow x
