Would anyone like to join me on the TTC for March 2024

Going into my 3rd month TTC for my rainbow baby after a loss in 2007 at 7 weeks, I'm now 34 (35 in June) and TTC for our first baby with me and my DH

The last 2 cycles my body has played horrible tricks on me, so i have been keeping a log of my symptoms.

I'm not ready to do opks or bbt just yet trying to do natural and less stressful but did have 21 day bloods and day 3 bloods done and the results come back good, i do have PCO cysts in my ovaries and my DH has good sperm he had this tested last year.

Sorry for all of you who are out, I'm joining you for next month as well: started spotting this morning at CD27, I know AF will be here this afternoon. A little sad, but it's ok. At least AF came 2 days early, which means that my apps predict next months ovulation a few days earlier. Works out good, because I'm supposed to travel to see my family on my original ovulation date, so chances for next month increased.

@UnicornPrincessSarah Will you keep us updated? Last test looks promising!!

UnicornPrincessSarah · 24/03/2024 21:39

Hi Ladies quick evening update dont know how long or if I did hold wee its still the same brand until tomorrow when I get to shops, but just taken this 8.56pm

Hopefully the 3pm test was dodgy and these test not dodgy like reviews suggest

@Adamsapple89 @mamataylor Trying to stay hopeful and will see what the week brings

First 2 tests I did from pack were negative tue and Thursday, first faint positive Friday 3pm on no hold and not sure how much I drank
Sat morning 6.45am fmu last time I had been was 12am hadn't drink either, tested again 2.50pm on a 3 hour hold was darker then 6.45am, then tested again 11.15pm last night on 2 hour hold the darkets faint positive to date.
This morning FMU since 12am so 8 hour hold no drink 7.20am was very faint positive, another 3 hour hold 10.18am tested again bit darker then 7.20am, 3.30pm tested again 5 hour hold and only sips of water almost negative have to sort of squint to see the line

This review posted on the Amazon product page 15th march
Four days of testing and all the tests I have done from this brand has given clear pink faint lines but I am definitely not pregnant and concluded this from a blood test however test is still positive.
25th Feb - Please don't buy these. Every single one gave a clear yet false positive. As someone who has been trying for a while these destroyed my soul when I realised it was false
27th Feb - Would not recommend buying at all!!! all tests in the box give me clear false positive and when tested with a shop bought test it was “negative”. Don’t waste your money!
20th Jan - I have had these before no problems, but recently had 3 positive test then followed by negative. It was heart breaking especially after a miscarriage.

they should really be taken of the market if this is the case

@Emilyx00 im heading into the next cycle with you! You’re not alone x

@Grace185 sorry you’re in limbo. There’s nothing worse 😩 I hope you get a BFP or AF arrives soon, at least then you’ll know what’s going on. Keep us posted x

@UnicornPrincessSarah try not to look into it too much. Wait and see if AF arrives but I think it’s pretty much impossible to get a false positive?

Adamsapple89 · 24/03/2024 18:59

@UnicornPrincessSarah thank you, yes trying again next month 🤞🏻

Stay positive, it may be even though you are holiday it’s not technically FMU and they do all look positive still xx

UnicornPrincessSarah · 24/03/2024 17:54

@Grace185 Has AF been late for you before? one time I was 2 weeks late for no reason the bitch I wasn't even TTC then, do you track ovulation to?

Hopefully just a late BFP showing for you

and thank you should have just bin them when I read the bad reviews I always new it maybe 50% they are ok or faulty I wasn't even going to test before AF was late and didn't test at all last month just something felt/ feels different this month so we will see but going to wait now till Wed/ Thur and see if she shows.

Grace185 · 24/03/2024 17:03

Well I've just taken a cheap poundland one and a boots one and both negative :( I'm about 2 days late so no idea what my body is playing at. I really thought I might be this time :( want AF to just come now

@UnicornPrincessSarah I'm sorry to hear about yours too. It's really horrible this TTC isn't it

Montelukast · 24/03/2024 16:02

Just enjoying life this weekend, moving towards my fertile window next week. Booked a holiday and enjoying the sunshine today as well as doing a few jobs around the house :)

UnicornPrincessSarah · 24/03/2024 15:48

Update to you all seems the amazon reviews on these tests are dodgy maybe try as tested again on a 3 hour hold and no drinking and have to squint to see a line now super faint this is now 48 hours from my first hint of a positive so really I would have thought line maybe darker unless start of a chemical I'm not to sure.

Going to wait now as feel like crying if these tests have all been false positives will next test when and if AF is late

Hubby did warn me not to get hopes up and I was trying but after 2 negatives before the faint positive and even testing 1 in water then to have 6 faint positives over 3 days to now 3rd day afternoon nothing when last 2 afternoons there was something really strange

Hi ladies, the spotting seems to be AF! Counted from the first day of my last period to see what CD I’m on. Only on CD20 and spotting started CD15. Very weird. It’s like a very light period. Too soon for implantation, and probably too much. Thinking my hormones are playing up. Miscarriage was in December so 3 months in but the last 2 cycles have been normal and at the right time. Didn’t track this month so no idea what’s going on. Although I took a break from TTC this month, it’s still been on my mind. Going to take an actual break and get my body back into shape so it’s ready to grow a baby!

Congratulations to everyone who has a BFP! Hopefully I can update you all in a few months with my BFP too❤️.

Im cycle day 25 myself, you can have implantation from 6 to 12 dpo so for me not had spotting but cramps started 6 dpo cycle day 19, have also read some people can have heavy implantation I would say if don't get like AF give it a few days and test Cycle day 20 I was negative same for cycle day 23 didn't get a hint of a maybe positive till cycle day 22 (still not trusting till AF is late)

my sister had implantation spotting one week after the last day DTD lasted 2 days for her so DTD 3rd Jan, Bleeding 10th/ 11th Jan BFP 18th Jan this was 2023 she had her little boy 1st Oct 2023

Shortcake06 · 24/03/2024 10:40

@UnicornPrincessSarah i think the boots early results tests are quite good, similar to first response but cheaper!

UnicornPrincessSarah · 24/03/2024 09:51

@Shortcake06 Ah thank you, and yeah I really need to test with another brand as read that wondfo give false positives but I have now had 5 on a row and tested 1 in water negative thank god pmsl. Holding out till late to do a digital

I'm on a 2 hour 20 min urine hold at the moment lol. funny I thought being pregnant made you wee more but that's not hit me yet but last month AF cycle I was doing like 20 wee in a day like WTF

Thank you just get bit worried about chemicals

OP posts:
UnicornPrincessSarah · 24/03/2024 09:23

@mamataylor Thanks and yeah just been reading about that now actually and I saw something saying 12dpo, the second wee or afternoon/ evening is better then the first morning,

Deffo some people think they have to go crazy with the sex but I would deff say every 2/3 days is perfectly fine, if anything bit better as spem can get fresher and build and you both get to recover and get your energy back

I joked he is coming out with symptoms instead of me lol but deff shows you cant plan for things when TTC as life and other things get in the way and how I was last week sex was last thing on my mind even cursing myself saying I have messed it up not carrying on lol

Cant remember if I mentioned but I get ovulation pain Jan and Feb were quite painful this month wasn't as painful not sure if that has something to do with it, this month I also stopped supplements and just eat a bit differently trying to get things in body that way. Been taking folic acid for a year but stopped this month as wanted to see if that maybe causing bad ovulation and pains from o to AF but once I know for sure I'm 100% pregnant ill be starting that again. and surprise I didn't get any pains after o either nothing actually until 6 dpo

@UnicornPrincessSarah i know how stressful this time is. Just remember pregnancy tests are designed to show whether you are pregnant or not, not to show you how things are progressing. I always got stronger positives in the afternoons. I know it’s impossibly hard to think of anything else right now. Sending love and lots of positivity 💕

mamataylor · 24/03/2024 09:03

@UnicornPrincessSarah I’ve read on a few forums that people have had darker positives in the afternoons so try not to read into it. Take it a day at the time, otherwise you’ll unnecessarily stress yourself out.
see, you’re living proof that you don’t need to DTD everyday to get pregnant! I don’t OPK or temp either, I’ve got pregnant twice before just DTD every 2-3 days so I’m standing by that it’ll happen that way for us again.

sorry to hear about your husband, sounds like you’ve had a right nightmare these last couple of weeks! X

UnicornPrincessSarah · 24/03/2024 09:01

Ginny2018 · 24/03/2024 08:21

@UnicornPrincessSarah I'm so happy for you, congratulations!! Did you test again this morning?

I have had sore boobs since yesterday which as we all know can mean 2 things 😂 AF due Wednesday and haven't tested yet, trying to hold till Wednesday.

My bf and I still haven't recovered from the hard time we're having together now, so I'm not sure how next month will go. I still really want this, and he as well, but have to be honest that we're not doing well now. I hope we get it together soon, I love him more than anything and it's just sad what's happening now, on top of that with trying for a baby really messes with my head.

Have a peaceful Sunday everybody!

@Ginny2018 Just did 2 posts under this with last night's test and this morning's test

I started to get sore boobs 10Dpo and then they have been on and off since but not like the other 2 months' pains and the last 2 months would have them from O to AF

Oh no I'm so sorry to hear things are still not too great, maybe if this isn't a BFP month, take a break next month and focus on each other and see what happens they do say TTC can be stressful on couples, First month TTC me and my DH argued like crazy and he found it a demand and hated it, So we then worked out a plan that would work for both of us and keeping things less stressful, he was also having a few doubts to but still wanted a baby but doubts on how it would effect us as couple and also how I would cope pregnant and after birth along with my health conditions. we have been together since may 2008 so a very long time but its only this year he has truly felt ready to TTC

OP posts:
UnicornPrincessSarah · 24/03/2024 08:54

@mamataylor Thank you, little bit worried mornings are not as strong/ dark as afternoon/ evenings
If this is truly a pregnancy we only DTD 4 times this month starting the day after the period ended and doing it every 3 days last DTD 14th March was planning for 8 myself lol, I don't OPK or BBT as don't like to worry/ stress (now me worrying about BFP's 😂)

But on the 17th I had a sore throat and then this past week I have felt extremely drained and hubby also has a major tooth abscess and on 2 lots of antibiotics so he said sex is the last thing on his mind right now lol

OP posts:
mamataylor · 24/03/2024 08:47

@Grace185 i think we’ll just DTD when we fancy it and see what happens. When I fell pregnant in October we only DTD twice that month so knowing us we’ll fall when we least expect it 😂 have everything crossed for you and hope AF doesn’t show up!

@Shortcake06 no symptoms could be a sign for you if you usually have them! Keep us posted. Hope this is your month ☺️

@UnicornPrincessSarah thank you. Your lines are looking fab by the way! 🥰
