@YorkshirePeridot ah right. A bit of tracking is needed then! Yes indeed and very exciting too!!

@SequinCola I get get it over with as soon as my little one falls asleep as I know she will sleep a long stretch when she first falls asleep! Good luck!

SequinCola · 27/02/2024 23:20

I've got a solid smiley on my ovulation test today. CD 14 but few days earlier than I might have expected. And we're away from tomorrow... Sharing a room with our 3 year old. Not ideal!

Where is everyone else in their cycle?

YorkshirePeridot · 27/02/2024 21:24

@BabyBorn I genuinely have no idea what my LP is normally like as I've been on various hormonal contraception for 15 years until 2 months ago. This whole tracking lark is brand new and a mixture of interesting and scary!

BabyBorn · 27/02/2024 20:19

@MrBigsCat ah right, so you have no indication whether his sperm is hearth or not, well you are on your way to finding out! Good luck and keep us updated!

BabyBorn · 27/02/2024 20:17

Hi all,

@Meryemg no, like Mrbigscat said they are doing their own things now. One of mine is at uni and my almost 12 year old is out a fair bit, having sleepovers or doing things. Sometimes it makes it difficult as I don't have any family help as they live a distance away so if she wants her friend to sleep over then they usually want to do something the following day which I have to ferry them to and wait etc with my 20 month old. Apart from that it's fine.

@YorkshirePeridot have you always had a short LP? I haven't. Mine used to be around 13-14 days. It's definitely nothing to worry about as it's still within the "normal range"

MrBigsCat · 27/02/2024 18:25

Meryemg · 27/02/2024 15:49

Yes mine are 15 13 and 10 yh3 age gap worries me sightly. Does it cause u any concern

Not at all I think they would all help out, they are getting to the stage that they are meeting their friends and doing their own thing at the weekends now so I don’t think a baby would majorly impact them.

YorkshirePeridot · 27/02/2024 18:22

It's encouraging to see that other ladies have a shortish LP and it's nothing to worry about. I'm on CD3 now after a 10 day LP last cycle and have decided it's not worth worrying about.

As this is my first time ttc I'd love to have two children by the time I'm 40, but maybe that's optimistic 🤷‍♀️

@BabyBorn no he doesn’t this is his first

so he’s worrying the issue is him but I think it’s just taking us that bit longer, my first took 30months and then 2&3 took 4 months for each

anywherehollie · 27/02/2024 12:14

My age has not had any effect on my ability to get pregnant. Pregnant first cycle at 25 and pregnant again first month trying at 35.

BabyBorn · 27/02/2024 12:05

@Confusedddddddd ah right, yes I have heard that if I ovulate from my dodgy side that the egg could be caught too. Those cysts sound like they could be painful 😥

Welcome @MrBigsCat great! Well hoping we all get some good news these coming months! Has your new partner got children already? x

MrBigsCat · 27/02/2024 07:39

MrBigsCat · 27/02/2024 07:38

I’m 39 and ttc #4 with a new dp
had 2 chemicals so far which I’ve never had before and now on month 9!
feeling good about it and kind of going with the flow. Would love to be pregnant this year and also before my 40th after summer
Ive had the ovulation test which was fine and dp said he would test his sperm at some point too but I kind of feel because of the 2 chemicals it may be my egg that’s the problem.
would love to see some bfps on this thread soon ❤️

Hi @Confusedddddddd

I have an 11 day LP too. It has been 12 days once a few months ago. 11 is classed as normal though so try and not to worry.

I have also had an ectopic in 2006 and had my tube removed. I have had 3 pregnancies since so it depends if you ovulate on the good side each month. Hopefully everything will be ok and won't show any blockages.

How are you @Meryemg?

Unfortunately the side with my tube remaining grows cysts instead of ovulating, but was told that it will pick up eggs from the other side.

BabyBorn · 26/02/2024 19:15

@SequinCola so sorry to hear you've lost babies. So sad. Here's hoping we all get a BFP very soon!

@Meryemg crazy isn't it! Quite a few things in common. So glad they managed to save your tube!

@Revelatio do you have any children at all? Sorry to hear you are struggling. Sometimes it's just want happens, doesn't matter the age x

Revelatio · 26/02/2024 17:19

Hi! I’m 41, will be 42 soon. Have been trying for over a year now and nothing. Both of us have had tests and all seems normal. Very frustrating!!

Welcome on and i pray it happens soon for you

You certainly are very welcome here. Sorry to hear about your losses and sticky happy healthy vibes you're way.
İ am on month 8 of ttc#4 had an early loss (5w2d) last march.

Hi all,

Can I join you? I am 37, almost 38 TTC #2. One cycle 3 - had a chemical in January and BFP last month. Hopefully ovulating this weekend. I conceived #1 after two cycles - one of which was another chemical. A mix of hopeful and catastrophising about what will happen this time seeing as I've been able to get pregnant quite often (even if I haven't held on to them every time).

Sounds like we have quite a varied experience on here!

Meryemg · 26/02/2024 17:07

Yes i honestly believe its the love & joy they have brough over the years that makes me want one more before my body closes shop as they all grow independant and the youngest now begins to not want tucking in or a glass of milk with a story my heart feels with sadness too that all these moment's may be our last lovely to talk to someone who understands and is so positive so thank-you

BabyBorn · 26/02/2024 17:01

@Meryemg the good thing about all of this is that we are still lucky to have the three wonderful children we already have. We are either greedy or crazy!! Ha ha. Don't worry. You are far from too old!! There are so many couples starting to just have their first child at our age!! X

Meryemg · 26/02/2024 16:57

Feels good to have someone who is on board with ttc#4 everyone üs so negative

Yes i prmoised myself not to obsess this time no opks tracking etc as drove me mad last time but here we are time is ticking on nearly 37 i feel like im guna go into peri any time hence why I think so much pressure mentally for it to happen soon will give some of those a go x

Sorry to hear that @Meryemg I had been obsessing up until this last 3 weeks. I focused my energy on walking at least 10,000 steps a day and eating really well. That's massively taken my mind off things. I also go to reflexology every 2-3 weeks too which totally relaxes me and is known to help balance out hormones too. I was advised to start taken Bach rescue remedy too which is helping a lot too. Maybe you can try a few things to take your mind off things. Xx
