Hi everyone, my first month using ovulation strips. Apparently I have had my ‘peak’ so I’m gathering I’ll ovulate in the next few days if I haven’t done already.

Haven’t managed to have as much sex as I’d like but hopefully just one of them will hang around, might try and do it tonight (but I really cannot be bothered) just in case!

anyone else in their 2WW or approaching their 2WW?

Hi ladies,
According to pre-mom, I’m 2dpo today. I have some right side tugging in my ovary area today so I’m wondering if I’m ovulating today although it is 3 days after my peak result so not sure if this is possible.
How is everyone today?

@Llr2023 and @Frankie2607 and @AccountingMummy and @moosloverlover . We have all peaked at roughly the same time. I’m making a conscious effort not to symptom spot this month. Funnily enough, I haven’t had any ovulation symptoms so I’m hoping I’ve actually ovulated! Didn’t manage to have sex again so just hoping the couple of times we did it is enough.

@shohopeful , I feel you with obsessing. I didn’t read my LH last month but I didn’t give my poor DP a break and by the end, he was coming up to bed so late I think he was avoiding sleeping with me😂. I’ve tried to use the tests this month so he has a chance to recover, bless him.

@SophT27 / @DawnWW how are you both feeling? Did you test again? It is so disheartening when it’s stark white. I’m the worst for seeing lines that aren’t actually there. You’re both still very early so things can change in that time (although I’m sure you know this!) sending hugs.

@Anonxo hello, when are you due to test? I think I have just ovulated so now starting the dreaded wait!

@Ttcafterlosses sorry to hear about your losses. It’s so hard when it’s everything you want. Do you know when you’re going to test or are you going to wait for your period to be late?

@AnnieStar12 hello! When are you due to test? It’s so difficult to hold off. Are you going to attempt it at 10dpo? Both of mine were unplanned so I only found out when the throwing up started around 6-8 weeks and by then, the line was so easy to see.

@Notsureifitspossible I’m TTC #3 as well. I just keep thinking about how the age gap is getting bigger and finding it more stressful which I don’t think is helping. How old are your other DC? Testing Friday is still very early. Do you think you’ll test then or try and hold off for a couple of days? My ovulation strips came with loads of pregnancy tests so I’m really going to try hard to not test until at least 14dpo (who am I kidding!!!)

@Ttcafterlosses I'm so sorry that's rotten. It affects us all in different ways. Thinking of you Xx

Ttcafterlosses · 21/02/2024 18:52

Hi it’s so hard in the 2ww - things we would normally not even think about become symptoms. I’m struggling after my 4th miscarriage in august we finally starting trying again this month but all of a sudden my husband cannot perform

shohopeful · 21/02/2024 18:44

How is everyone doing? I'm 5DPO and just had some cramping there. Last cycle (just after my MC) my luteal phase was only 7 days so I am worried that it's that

shohopeful · 20/02/2024 16:27

@AnnieStar12 hello! I was 10DPO when I got my positive with my first pregnancy in November. Hopefully you've not too much longer to wait. Positivity defo helps! Also read there was a study where people who watched more comedies were more likely to conceive because they were laughing. Who knows if that'll work but get a good one on anyway for that feel good factor. Sending you lots of baby dust!!

AnnieStar12 · 20/02/2024 16:09

Hello,
I’m in my TWW, currently on 6DPO.
This is cycle #12 of TTC and I’ve had two losses in that time.
For some reason I feel really hopeful this month, though I have no reason to think this will be my month when we’ve failed most cycles!
Next few days are going to feel long..

In previous pregnancies I’ve had very faint BFP around 10/11 DPO. What about others, when have you got your first positive?

shohopeful · 20/02/2024 13:23

@DawnWW aw I'm so sorry Dawn. I hope you're ok. Just keep doing what you're doing and once cycle it'll stick!! It only needs to happen once. It's so shit though. Get some nice comfort food and do something nice for you this weekend. A massage or something. Sending love. And hopefully it is still that bit too early. Xxx

DawnWW · 20/02/2024 13:19

I think I'm out. Couldn't resist and tested just now with an early detection while my husband was out (either 13 days PO with one app or 7 days PO with another). It was very clearly negative, not even a squinter. I know if the second app was correct I could still be and have tested too early but the amount of cramping and stomach pain I'm getting makes me think the first is correct and AF will arrive in the next day or 2. This would have been my rainbow after a loss in October last year. Really thought this was the month as we'd done so well with timing based on when I felt I was ovulating and when the apps said I was too

Frankie2607 · 20/02/2024 08:39

Sorry to hear of everyone’s losses. Most difficult and awful thing ever ♥️ But taking comfort from you all, so thank you.

@shohopeful I tried beetroot juice once. It was so bloody vile I nearly projectile vomited 🤮 (sorry TMI!) haha. It’s rank! Now I just throw some in my salads and hope for the best

DawnWW · 19/02/2024 23:18

I'm in my waiting period too. Haven't been tracking ovulation with sticks but I can usually feel it because I get such bad cramps and ewm. I've used 2 different apps to try and check when I would ovulate and when I'd be due but to be honest I've been pretty crappy with it all. We have had sex a lot more this month and especially when I was cramping thinking I was ovulating.

My husband is away on Friday night so I'm trying to wait until then. I don't like to test around him or get my hopes up too much. One app tells me af is due Thursday and the other next Tuesday and I've been all over the place with cycles so who knows. I've been getting such bad stomach cramps it's probably af coming but I'm desperately hoping it's not (although it does feel too much to be implantation or very early pregnancy)

Emilyx00 · 19/02/2024 22:34

Oh wow! There are a lot of us! It’s nice to not feel alone. It’s hard sometimes isn’t it? You don’t want to put too much pressure on your other half but you need somewhere to talk all things TTC! Has anyone else got kids or is this most people’s first? This will be my 3rd. The age gaps are just getting bigger and bigger though so I’m finding that stressful.

I’m going to have a look at some of those programmes! I could do with a distraction. I’m currently trying to lose some weight too so I’ve thrown myself into slimming world from today to try and give myself something to focus on!

Has everyone got a testing date in mind? I am adamant I am not testing early this month. Last month I drove myself crazy testing every single day and wasted so much money, and I was still getting faint positives from the MC trying to convince myself it was a new pregnancy!

Hi everyone I am in the dreaded 2ww after finally starting trying again after my last miscarriage in august which was my 4th (part of the recurrent miscarriage clinic) and trying not to lose my mind. Feel like I am always wishing time away in the 2ww.

Sorry to hear about the losses you have had I hope we all get our rainbow babies soon.

I have decided not to track ovulation this month for mental health purposes so unsure of how many dpo but still constantly symptom spotting

moosey89 · 19/02/2024 22:07

Hi ladies! I'm around 6dpo, cycle 16530 of TTC (at least it feels like 😂). In real terms it's cycle 7 of TTC since my most recent loss. In total been TTC about 4 years (excluding breaks from it for a couple of different reasons).

Have had 2 MMCs, last one was July last year and both my due dates that weren't have just gone so it's been a tough month. Feeling surprisingly chilled this tww now, think it's because if my period does arrive I've got a fun fitness competition a few days later so at least have something to look forward to!

Notsureifitspossible · 19/02/2024 22:06

*not feeling (not joy feeling!)

Notsureifitspossible · 19/02/2024 22:06

I’m 6dpo so can probably test on Friday earliest I think? It’s 2.5 years now of ttc #3 so joy feeling very hopeful but have an appt booked for next week so at least if I get my period we are getting things checked more (already had some tests which all came back fine but it did take a while for dc 1 and 2 and the only thing I’m not sure about is possible endometriosis)

shohopeful · 19/02/2024 22:05

@AccountingMummy thank you. I LOVED the U.K. version of traitors so we will defo start Australian one - thank you! Has anyone read beetroot juice is good for implantation? I got some and it is soooooo rank but I'm just downing a glass every morning through a straw. Can only really taste it in the aftertaste so downing in one! Hahaha. If I'm not pregnant this cycle I'm not trying it next one. It's too much haha

moosloverlover · 19/02/2024 22:03

I think I peaked today, but new to testing so not 100% sure what I’m looking for! any advice appreciated, hoping this month is the month for all of you lovely ladies!

We’re TTC baby 2 but haven’t got my period back yet following baby 1 (breastfed) so it’s a bit all over the shop.

AccountingMummy · 19/02/2024 22:01

And so sorry to you @Emilyx00 and @shohopeful - keeping fingers crossed for you.

For this TWW I haven't tried love is blind but see it all over social media - I'm so invested in it just from that! If anyone hasn't watched traitors yet (UK and Australia versions) then this is a MUST! Such amazing television

AccountingMummy · 19/02/2024 21:59

Eeeek I'm here to join too! I'm at the exact same stage as you @Emilyx00 , peaked yesterday and was also CD 17 yesterday - so snap! Pleased there are so many of us to ride this TWW together ❤️

I had THE most vivid dream last night that I had a baby and was breastfeeding the little babe. I can't tell you how real it felt and how strange it was when I woke up.

So desperate to be a mama already but this is only our 2nd month TTC for baby #1

shohopeful · 19/02/2024 21:54

@Emilyx00 so sorry for you too. I'm the same. I have days where I feel really angry and like I've been robbed. And others where I remind myself it was hopefully a kindness it happened when it did, and it maybe wouldn't have been very well. I'm also hoping when our rainbow babies come we will one day be strangely grateful for the journey and that whatever is meant for us will happen - and they'll come when they're ready! Maybe that's a bit insane but it's where I'm at just now. Love is blind is on Netflix. First episodes ending made me want to watch ep 2!! Can also recommend criminal record on Apple TV for something a bit more gripping (it's a police drama)

Emilyx00 · 19/02/2024 21:50

Ahh lots of us waiting then!! I also had a miscarriage end of last year so feeling slightly desperate. Sorry for your losses, it’s so difficult isn’t it? I keep sitting thinking about how far along I should be now and then feeling sad that I’m not pregnant. It sucks.

I’m trying so hard to keep calm but I just want the next two weeks to hurry up!😂 Might have a look at love is blind. Is it on Netflix?

Anonxo · 19/02/2024 21:37

Hey ladies gonna join in if that’s ok should be starting soon feels like everyone is 12/13 dpo so nice to have a group of people just starting 😊

Frankie2607 · 19/02/2024 20:39

@shohopeful I think tracking can be such a blessing and a curse at the same time. When I spoke to the doctor she was like “BIN THEM!” Haha.

thank you ♥️ and sorry to hear about your loss too. Got it all crossed for us!

ps Need to watch Love is Blind! Last season was rubbish, so hoping for better 😂

shohopeful · 19/02/2024 20:38

Thanks @SophT27
I'd say it's still too early to get a positive. It's sooo hard but try to give yourself another few days.
Journaling is supposed to be really helpful if that's something you wanted to try to get through.
I've made a to do list of all the things I want to do over the next two weeks - I think it's helping so far!
